Love the Batte Report! Just some notes on infantry rules from someone who loves running them: Infantry can't move after dismounting, they never suffer the penalty from Jumping movement or benefit from standing still (see the fine print of the attack table), Battle-Armor specifically have an extra +1 when targeting them, and Infantry have no "back-arc" for extra damage and can always see 360 degrees.
So a jumping Elemental gets their TMM of 1 + 1 for being battle armor and another + 1 for jumping.

So this fight could very easily fit into BattleTech canon, the Gray Death spent a lot of 3050 and 3051 fighting the Jade Falcons, most notably on Pandora and Sudeten. They actually developed their own BattleArmour based on studying Elementals during these battles.

FYI: infantry does not have a rear arc. They have a 360 degree front arc.
Great fun! I prefer variable damage, especially when facing a monstrous 8 damage killer! I've been having a really good time playing Alpha Strike recently, such a great system which we can make as simple or complex as we feel like on the day thanks to all the extra rules that can be used. Going to look at a campaign next up to give the single battles a bit more meaning.

there is a house rule that is becoming almost standard (i think usa tourney's use it ) that u roll dice for each possible damage eg if u can cause 3 damage u roll for each possible damage, makes the game a little bit longer yes but makes shots less all or nothing .
Not a house rule but an optional rule in the rulebook. Yes it makes for much more tense games.
How many points is this? Do the points work like 40K? I’m switching from 40K to this. So many questions.

Measure your movements at all times. Don't guess. It doesn't matter if you have a laser range finger and sat nav in your brain, physically measure the distance at all times.
Do not touch or move your opponent's miniatures without their consent, ever.

I'm surprised you went back to 2d6 when you meet a whole video explaining why you went to d12 per weapon strength.
When I teach a new player the game I use what’s in the rulebook so as not to confuse them! We go back and forth based on what my opponent is comfortable withZ I’m not married to any one set of rules!
