Dude, thanks so much for being in the video and playing an affordable, real-life guitar. It's refreshing to see someone showcasing an Epiphone or other 'lower-tier' brands because, honestly, these guitars are amazing but so underrepresented on TH-cam and in the media. It feels like everyone on here is playing a Gibson or an American Fender, but in real life, it's usually Mexican Fenders and Epiphones that most of us are using. I’m not knocking Gibsons or custom shop guitars-they're incredible instruments, no doubt. But realistically, those wouldn't be my first choice for gigs. I'd be too nervous about something happening to them! For the average player, it's guitars like Epiphones that strike the perfect balance between quality, affordability, and peace of mind.
Marthy did you offer to Marcus this yoke that you fasten to the top of the fret board the on when you pres one button and it holds the entire guitar chord what's that called again??
Ooof, Marcus Kings songwriting, lyrics, voice and guitar playing all conspire to hit you in the heart. And I'm not sure even which he's best at, because he's so good at all of it.
Marcus King is the most amazing young fresh, yet deeply blues rooted, musical artist of our times. I saw him live at crossroads and I hope to see him in Berlin in autumn🎸
I love the album. It's on repeat! Also, so cool to see our all-time friendly neighborhood guitar teacher out here. Love everything about this. God bless, and make us follow the right track atleast for a while now with all this good music and wine out there.
Man, I saw him earlier this year. It was my first time attending a concert after my sobriety. I had no idea Marcus suffered with addiction as well. It makes it all the more special. He's the most talented all around musician I've ever seen live without a doubt, and I've been to a lot of concerts.
Gotta say I find Marcus to still have his shields up ...I feel from him some pain he guards very well but I respect him and his genius.......with that said....Marty is the man as well.... all he has accomplished on his guitar and TH-cam teaching journey is inspiring......thanks to you both for examples of how far dreams, grit and hard work can take someone!!
Tulsa here, and he definitely sounds like he had some Leon Russell influence. Especially when he plays the piano. Wish I was about 30 years younger. His style is so attractive 😍.
What a great collaboration between these two great guitar 🎸 players. Marcus is very humble and has a very chill personality. Such a talent. Marty in his own right, is a great player and teacher. Really enjoyed the breakdown of this song 🎶.
Marcus is one of my absolute favorite young artists out there today, killing it! I saw him a few years ago and got tickets to see him and his band on a special day to me ❤this coming September! 🎸 🇨🇦
Saw him at the Filmore in Detroit last month. Holy crap. Dude can play. dude can sing. Best show I've seen in over a decade. Vulfpeck/Cory Wong might have been as good. Incredible.
SUPER talented musician and bluesman as anybody with ears can hear. Best part of that video? DUCK the dog! He’s helping give Marcus the juju to stay sober so we can be lucky enough to keep him around for decades to come-there for a minute the future looked like a bleak cliche coming hard and fast. Go Marcus! VIVA LA VIDA! xo
I really liked the harmony section - although it is touch difficult to distinguish if it is Marcus or Marty singing? I'm thinking a Duet album is in the works. Great Stuff!
“Take offence” ? I see it the other way around, what a compliment to have your work compared to so many great songs and artist. I’m not a Marty Schwartz fan but I think he’s intent here Is praise. Marcus is one of the most exciting artist currently walking the globe (imo) and he’s too young to have such depth in his song writing. People spend lifetimes to get to where he is at musically so I understand why he’s often compared to such timely classics. The guy performs the blues like he’s had a lifetime of pain and heartbreak yet still probably gets his ID checked walking into a bar
I really like Marty, but he made it awkward, basically accusing Marcus of copying 2 or 3 artists. I think every artist is inspired by their heroes. But to me, this is a great Marcus King tune. Great interview but awkward beginning...
Come to Bridgeport Connecticut Marcus saw you play with Phil Lesh gotta see you on your own doing Your Music. Great Show by the Way was in Port Chester New York at the Capitol Theater.
Thanks for coming by the studio! Let's do it again sometime!!🤘
you're supposed to talk to him for 3+ hours lets see that vid!!!
No problem...... Oh right , you meant Marcus 👍

He is a great musician, very promising

Just saw him live at the Glasgow Barrowlands…possibly the best gig I’ve ever seen! At the tender age of 28 this guy is already a legend ❤️
i had just seen him in London and same thoughts, best bit of live music i have ever seen, the range of music covered was insane
Marcus King is the most amazing young fresh, yet deeply blues rooted, musical artist of our times. I saw him live at crossroads and I hope to see him in Berlin in autumn🎸
You've become a national treasure man. Keep that shit up.
I love Marcus, such a humble dude, but he is doing his best to be an artist in this modern world.

Amazing. Marcus is one of those artist that can do everything and is such an old soul. It comes thru the music. 👍 Inspiring.
Joy to my ears and to the world!
Unique voice and wow he can play the guitar!
this man's gift resonates thru every fiber of my core! I've only listened to 2 songs
In a world full of fake asf pop stars it's nice to that there's still real artists out there. Marcus is the man
Marcus is one of the baddest to have ever done it!
Best of this generation by a country mile mate 🎸
Two very talented musicians..
For me, you can't beat Marcus King!!
Thank you very much for your amazing singing and playing 🎉 greets from Markus from Tirol in Austria
MK is an amazing artist! Marty you’re a great guitarist and teacher. Thanks for sharing
Marcus could sing the phone book and it would sound beyond soulful
This was great! An excellent momentum for having artists come on and teach there songs…no copyright strikes!
Marcus is one of my absolute favorite young artists out there today, killing it! I saw him a few years ago and got tickets to see him and his band on a special day to me ❤this coming September! 🎸 🇨🇦

Thanks for this! I can’t say enough how much you guys inspire me to continue playing guitar, learn and create my own music. Thanks 🙏
Sounds so dam amazing!!! Looks like Marcus was playing through a Katana? Wow!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Saw him at the Filmore in Detroit last month. Holy crap. Dude can play. dude can sing. Best show I've seen in over a decade. Vulfpeck/Cory Wong might have been as good. Incredible.
I was hoping i find some lesson of this song but didn't expect it from Marcus King and Marty🔥 so cool
Thank you Marcus. This is an awesome treat. Love how you share with you tubers. Definitely special

Sick video!!
National treasure

He’s got a great voice. A different flavor of Greg allman and Warren Haynes.
thanks !!!!
Mr king is one cool cat
Hey Marty can you do a tutorial of Delilah please
I'm glad Marcus didn't take offence to the whole comparison thing. I didn't see the need for that chord stuff and saying it was other songs 😐
Agreed! .. tasteless
All art is derivative. It’s an honor to pay homage to influences and Marcus does it well. Being offended is a you problem
“Take offence” ? I see it the other way around, what a compliment to have your work compared to so many great songs and artist.

😍❤️🔥😘
Anyone have tabs for this ?
Was it F2 or Fsus2 the chord F with a G Bass?
What song is that solo on ?
Anyone know how his guitar is tuned? Open G?
E Standard
Am I hearing lots of Jimmy Paige in that chord sequence and solo structure?
I think R.Steward is on playback
Why he is comparing everything Marcus does to all these other players? Kind of a dick move is how it comes across
Hey! This isn’t “Hey There Delilah” 😂😂😂 jk
That’s the Curtis Mayfield man not Stevie Wonder.
I really like Marty, but he made it awkward, basically accusing Marcus of copying 2 or 3 artists. I think every artist is inspired by their heroes. But to me, this is a great Marcus King tune. Great interview but awkward beginning...
Agreed!
It’s not accusatory. You just view it that way. Get over yourself if you believe music exists in a vacuums.
Marty is making strange conversation, it's awkward to many which means it is. It's not accusatory but definitely a bit autistic.@@woogaoogaboogafooga
Agree. It started getting really awkward.

It's a little weird to start the vid saying "OK, you ripped off this, and this, and this".
Come to Bridgeport Connecticut Marcus saw you play with Phil Lesh gotta see you on your own doing Your Music. Great Show by the Way was in Port Chester New York at the Capitol Theater.
Nice Marcus Very Nice
Me and Marcus talked and we are so glad you think it's nice 😐
@RealMarcusKing-s8z I called No Answer Marcus. All Good
