A good slick business card usually works, for setting the coil air gap for me!
MDC is a walbro carb! The needle valve setting is pretty critial!
Usually very hard to get them to stsrt drawing fuel from the tanks! But a good video! But did help to get 1 of mine to run again!
Good job Ed, you got it running.... that's 3/4 of the battle. 🙂👍
Yes it ran but I'm over the way you have to take it apart. It's a big hassle just to fix a fuel line.
I feel your pain, about 4 years ago I redid a 1969 Homelite for a guy. I don’t plan too again. 👍🏼
Good work. I have a similar McCulloch that was very hard to start when I put it away years ago...
It ran but I'll probably just put it on a shelf for now, I don't have the time to tear it apart to replace the fuel line right now.
@@PullerbearEd Fair enough. When I do mine I will.
if i took apart this the way you do, i would never get it back together again! 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣have a blessed weekend Ed. now going for my 2nd cup of coffee. ☕☕☕☕
I'm fairly good at remembering how things come apart...most of the time.
These top handle macs are indeed the “problem child” of the McCulloch line, that’s why they are my specialty. For more info on these unruly children, I have posted a few videos to help.
I will definitely check them out, thanks for the info and watching.
Point gap should be around 18-19 thousand!
ps, there is a you tube video on how to take apart this chain saw. :)
Ya I seen a bunch after I did it, half the fun is figuring it out myself...this became un fun really quickly 🤣🤣🤣
Sledgehammer works well!
It comes apart better if you take all of the bolts & screws out first! I have 3 of them!
Yes it does, I've sent that saw down the road to someone else who wants to tinker with it more.
Is this a Walbro Or a Zama Carb?
I have no clue, I don't even have the saw anymore to look.
Biggest problem with that was taken apart to fix
Yes sir, it was definitely a pain
you will find out why these little saws have more AIR time than the Wright Bros,LOL
Lol. I think I know why all ready
Got 4 of those, not bragging. Always hated to see those come in.
I probably will never take one in for repair again.
