It's wild how far it's come in the short time you've had it! It's gorgeous! I agree about the water stains. You were the best person for this house, Brian. I can't wait to see it come along. Your video skills this time were great. I felt like I was just walking around with a friend showing me their new house. Keep it up!
You are too tough on yourself. We love your videos and narration style. Its just amazing how much you've accomplished in such a short time. Before your followers know it, it'll be Christmas and we'll be dazzled all over again by your fabulous decorations.
The house looks amazing! What’s crazy is you’re not there full time yet it looks as if you’ve been there every day, working non stop. What’s also great is how much the furniture just fits right in place, as if it was meant to be in that house. Love it!! Can’t wait for the next update.
Hi Brian I love your tours even if you can’t work the camera! 😂 it’s good that you spanned slowly across the rooms so we could see it properly… don’t change a thing! I love the tours as they are. Your house is magnificent. Thank you from Sydney 🇦🇺🦋
I look forward to your house history. Every time I see your grand hallway, I envision people in 19th century dress. It’s really the ballroom of your house.
I still can’t get over how you weren’t put off by this daunting undertaking! Obviously it’s a love story of a house❤ I’m really looking forward to your first Christmas in the new house, in the meantime I love all the progressive videos!!
When you love a house, it will eventually love you back. An old saying, maybe the ghost is pleased with you bringing back its original charm. Love seeing how you are restoring this gorgeous manor.
Your videography is part of the charm. Gorgeous home, beautiful light (especially with the big tree down). I would love to know more of of its history.
TV solution: The chest of drawers in the upper hall goes into the den with the TV above it and the armoire in the den goes upstairs into the upper hall. PS It's really cool that you're from Shelby. My High school orchestra used to do a Spring Fling concert every year visiting back and forth between our high schools. Each of us would host a Shelby kid at our house like an exchange student. In Shelby. I remember we thought those rotating auditoriums at the Shelby high school were a wow factor.
First: thank you so much for restoring your home without ripping out and discarding the original character. I am shocked and saddened to see so many people doing just that with no respect and zero knowledge. I love your home and would love to pick your brain! Question: While the house is still in the reconstruction phase, why not add insulation to all sides? Doesn't insulation not only keep the warmth in but the heat out? My grandfather was on the construction crew of Colonial Williamsburg and worked on the Palace, Raleigh Tavern and the Capitol. I guess that's where I get my love of all things old, or at least made to look old. Thank you again!
Great tour, can’t wait for history,be glad I am not there ,I have so many questions …..I will spare you Now .I appreciate your interest in doing this Right. This is not a race to get everything done, hopefully it will be an adventure. It’s your Home,do what you love Thanks 🍃🌿
I’d love if you would do a video about your art pieces on the walls. We’re getting glimpses of, but I’d love to see them close up and hear your stories about them. ❤
Love to see your house over and over again your elegant Style is so inspiring!! Keep doing it the way you are. It is so fun to hear you talk about everything and tells us the story. You are a wonderful storyteller!
Brian, lovely Antebellum home. The English Colonial, Georgian, Philadelphia furnishings are spot on. Glad to see you are not stuffing the interiors with Victorian junk. Looking forward to viewing the Interiors as you move forward with your rewarding project.
I think this is a magnificent house! I agree, I love the water stains. It’s part of it now, and honestly, it’s a great talking point. I want to see more as you progress. Love it!
Finally a you tuber that hears his audience, thank you for slowing down and taking time for us to see the rooms in your beautiful home. This is my first time watching your videos and I am intrigued and am a new subscriber:)
How about some big blue vases on top of the armoire in the den. How ever what ever you do I know it will look good. I can’t get enough . I’m going to watch it again. I love everything
Brian! Love the update video! Now you will think of my comment 5 times a day when you go to the refrigerator with a left side opening door. They are designed to change the hinge side. But alas, add that to the one million things you have on your list.
The original wallpaper border you show reminds me somewhat of ‘Orbes Directoire border’ by Adelphi Paper Hangings. I bet they could replicate your border perfectly. The new kitchen lights look great - I love your choice. Thank you for this updated interior tour- I really enjoyed it!
I love your videos. The house is amazing and I cannot believe how much you have accomplished in the short time - truly beautiful. I cannot wait to see what you do for Christmas because your last home was exquisitely decorated for the holidays. Thank you so very much for sharing this journey with all of us again it is truly amazing what you have accomplished. Take care and God bless you.
I had no idea that wallpaper could be restored until you said that was possible! I wouldn't ever be able to live with those water stains, when the restored wall looks soooo good (from what you showed) but then it's not my house! 😉
Many homes in rural South Carolina had a sleeping porch room. It could be for travelers. My ancestors had one in their house and the story was it was for the traveling preachers who would preach a circuit. A group of rural churches or sometimes “under the grapevine “ service. This was probably the most prominent family in the church.
You are doing a great job I think if you put pictures up and spoke over them it would be very interesting. I love watching what ever you do, and am glad you are not being bothered by your ghost any longer! My ghost has been very quiet I am wondering if it is the heat😂
Its amazing how much work you have accomplished in such a short time. I enjoyed the tour and would love to hear the history of the house anyway you present it. I have the same hanging light in my recieving hall that you have in your library. We had it refurbished a few years ago and its one of my favorites.
I love your house. It's from my favorite era. Too early for my neck of the woods but i have an old 1870's farmhouse I've restored. Your style and collection of antiques is an inspiration.
When in doubt please leap through. The foyer looks wonderful, especially with the pop of those chartreuse lamps. Are they Christopher Spitzmiller? You have done an excellent job with hanging all the art throughout the house. Can’t wait to see what you option to do for future window treatments. I would love to see a segment where you discuss why certain pieces spoke to you. Speaking of speaking, the ghost is probably content that someone is protecting her home.
In England and Ireland those wooden fireplaces were traditionally painted, that dinning room would look wonderful in red farrow and ball have a very good one
Brian , I could tour your home over and over taking it all in Love it !! I wish you could share where and/or how you find all of you treasurers !! I hope you had a lovely visit with your Mom ! Have a great weekend ! Paula p.s. have you lost weight ?? Looking great !
Hey Mr Brian. We can never tire of seeing your gorgeous home. The architecture itself is wonderful but then you take it to a whole new level with your beautiful collections and eye for detail. You understand how to decorate in the classical way ! You must just love it every time you come home. Have you had a chance to do some formal dinners ? Would love to see your table settings ! The library is adorable and I love that you have one token ocean liner picture ! Just love you and being a part of you living your best life !
The porch looks so much better! Very smart. Hey Brian would you consider adding a powder room/half bath downstairs - thinking of mom and guest. Victoria🌹
Your house is looking wonderful. You have a splendid eye for decoration and furniture arrangement. Years ago, I worked for the curator at Biltmore House. It occurred to me, when you were speaking about painting the original spaces: will you have the walls and ceilings painted with a brush? I hope so! This is the only appropriate method.
Brian, although it is nice to see your face so we know who is the lucky one to be restoring this mansion, the video is so much more watchable when the rooms and exterior views are not 25-35% obscured by you!
Wonderful!! I hope you’re going to keep the light fixture in the library (and in the library). It’s bronze? The dark color looks really great there, and as a counterpoint to the federalist, chippendale pieces. Not crazy about the coffee table in that room.
I always enjoy your updates, shaking or moving camera doesn’t bother me. 😊. I just love the layout of the house, the entry hallway, the fireplaces, even the water damaged wallpaper. I know it will take time but you will have the home of your dreams when this all comes together.
I agree about the wallpaper stains - I wouldn't try to remove them, even if you could; it's part of the house's history. Also, the unconnected room you use as a study could also have been a "parson's room" for travelling preachers - don't want THEM in the house :)
Thank you for another tour of your home. I love seeing and hearing the little stories. It is a huge undertaking, but so worth all the hard work, and money. 😉🤑 I'm already looking forward to the next tour/updates. 😊
Just love all your videos! The house is coming along very quickly. Love the bedding in your bedroom along with all the decor and beautiful furniture throughout the home. Was the bedding a one of a kind find or could you tell us where to find it?? I look forward to the house history in any format you choose. FYI- your filming is just fine. Genuine!
I hope you realize the pottery you mentioned previously on TH-cam On what I think was the very first house tour Anyway the pottery has been for sale on eBay and Etsy at very good prices
Love ❤ the library. Wonderful space. I like the fact that it’s separated from the main house but under cover to access in case of rain. You’re doing a great job. Beautiful home. Thanks for sharing your journey. 😊
Hi Brian! So nice to see you again so soon!! I just love all the rooms in your home! I actually reminisce what it must have been like back in the day with the original owners walking about. This home is so grand, and I love all the furniture you have in it! The beds are beautiful, and the dining room table and chairs look beautiful! I agree with you and love the kitchen! I think you are really making progress! I look forward to your next update and hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs! :)
Hey Brian, not having any problems with 'the mug', just to let you know. This is a fabulous house! The scale of the rooms and detail on the fireplace surrounds are just wonderful. The great hall is stunning. Surprised that you didn't talk much about the fanlight and sidelights--they take my breath away. Curious, what the model is on the fireplace mantle in the den? It reminds me of my 18th century brick dorm at my college in Maine. I would be interested in its story. As an architect, scale models are eye candy for me. Many thanks...
Can’t wait to see the dining room painted. Would you consider taking the mantle back to dark wood, but painting everything else, including all other wood detail?
Such a joy to see the progress, I appreciate talent and good taste and you exemplify both, can’t wait to see what you do at Christmas because your Homeworthy Christmas tour was fabulous! Thank you❤️
I love everything you have done so far to the house and by the way, I did not know you were from Shelby NC, I live in Gastonia NC. If you dont mind I would like to make a suggestion, the room with the water damaged wallpaper I noticed in one corner where the light was shining on the wall it made it look like a sunrise/sunset type glow. So...... after re-watching the segment a few times I wonder about what if you went and painted just the sky of the wallpaper like a sunset/sunrise and leave the rest of the wallpaper as is. It would brighten the room and I think give it a special glow.
It's wild how far it's come in the short time you've had it! It's gorgeous! I agree about the water stains. You were the best person for this house, Brian. I can't wait to see it come along. Your video skills this time were great. I felt like I was just walking around with a friend showing me their new house. Keep it up!
The way you are filming the tour is just fine. You have done great in arranging the furniture! Everything looks beautiful!
You are too tough on yourself. We love your videos and narration style. Its just amazing how much you've accomplished in such a short time. Before your followers know it, it'll be Christmas and we'll be dazzled all over again by your fabulous decorations.
That front hall just gets me every time. So beautiful❤
Not only is this man very handsome, i just love his videos as they are so natural
We like the mug. Don't hid the mug. I personally enjoy seeing how excited you are about this project.
The house looks amazing! What’s crazy is you’re not there full time yet it looks as if you’ve been there every day, working non stop. What’s also great is how much the furniture just fits right in place, as if it was meant to be in that house. Love it!! Can’t wait for the next update.

Yep, the dining room is still my favorite room…..just beautiful. The house has come together so well. Really enjoying following along.
When you love a house, it will eventually love you back. An old saying, maybe the ghost is pleased with you bringing back its original charm. Love seeing how you are restoring this gorgeous manor.
Every time I see that hallway it takes my breath away.
I never get tired of these. Everything is so beautiful and it’s just going to get better and better! Thank you for another tour. ❤
Your videography is part of the charm. Gorgeous home, beautiful light (especially with the big tree down). I would love to know more of of its history.

So much done and even more exciting! Loving both out and inside. Thanks for sharing!!!❤
Gorgeous. Agree on the wallpaper - the water stains give it character.
Wow! It is looking so good. Your love for this house just shines through. It’s amazing how much you’ve done. Thanks for taking us along. 😊
It will all look beautiful, don’t rush, it will be amazing once it is done.

I actually really love the style and colour of the window treatments in the diningroom😊
I’d love if you would do a video about your art pieces on the walls. We’re getting glimpses of, but I’d love to see them close up and hear your stories about them. ❤
I love what you did to the library ..it's going to look fantastic once you get another book shelf..I love your home ..you have impeccable taste.....
Love to see your house over and over again your elegant Style is so inspiring!! Keep doing it the way you are. It is so fun to hear you talk about everything and tells us the story. You are a wonderful storyteller!

Brian you could be my best friend!!! You had me at hello!
And please keep the water stain!! Sooo much character! Th original border is wonderful!!
I think this is a magnificent house! I agree, I love the water stains. It’s part of it now, and honestly, it’s a great talking point. I want to see more as you progress. Love it!
Red (valences) and green are complimentary colors. They 'could' work!😊
I've now toured your house twice, and it never get boring. I love it!
Finally a you tuber that hears his audience, thank you for slowing down and taking time for us to see the rooms in your beautiful home. This is my first time watching your videos and I am intrigued and am a new subscriber:)
But Brian, your "mug" is so very handsome. 😊
I love the hallway - it's beautiful. The water stains are really distracting to the mural but just my opinion.
Thanks for a great tour and for standing mostly behind the camera even though you are a very handsome man😍
I love watching you put this beautiful together. It looks amazing!
How about some big blue vases on top of the armoire in the den. How ever what ever you do I know it will look good. I can’t get enough . I’m going to watch it again. I love everything
Beautiful house. Your tour of it is just fine. I wouldn't change a thing.

You've put up so many more pictures, it feels like a real home.
Love everything. Everything's coming together. Very nice.❤
I love this, Brian. It is just wonderful.
Loved your Homeworthy tour. So glad I found this channel. Excited to see what you do for Christmas. ❤

You really are doing a nice job on arranging your wall art. The heights, groupings, area coverage are pleasing to the eye.
That water stain looks more like a bath tub tipped over?
Beautiful paper! Good luck with the restoration!
