ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!! I wish I had her as my interior decorator!!! Her style is absolutely chic with tons of personality!!! Wow!!! I love that she embraces her son’s passions and not her own. Loved❤❤❤
This is one of the best designed home I’ve seen. The color, the mix of old and new is amazing. Maggie is somebody to watch. She has the gift of design.
Love your home. For years I owned an antique shoppe with my mother. I've only ran across one of these in my travels. I instantly recognized what your piece was. I believe the cabinet in your bedroom is a Korean, three piece wedding chest, sometimes called 'marriage cabinet'. Many people confuse these pieces with an Apothecary Chest or tea cabinet. This cabinet was produced mainly to be included in a bride’s dowry, and signified well wishes for the newly wed couple’s long and happy marriage. It's difficult to make out the painting but it seems like it's floral with birds? Mandarin ducks mate for life and tend to travel in pairs. As a result, many Asian cultures associate pairing and marriage with the ducks... There's a high probability the birds are mandarin ducks. This large, rectangular chest, with its multiplicity of panels and moldings and ornamental hardware, indicate it was made for the women’s quarters in the home of a member of a wealthy family. I hope this helps. Gorgeous home!! Thank you for sharing!!
The cabinet in the bedroom is a tea cabinet. I am not sure the origin of it but, i know that I had a friend who had one and her family stored all their beautiful small tea cups and tea packages and all the table tea wear like tea napkins and small spoons. There is a drawer and space for all u need even some dried fruit or anything u would add to a tea. It’s for a family that really drinks tea morning noon and night LOL it’s truly beautiful and special. Love that piece
Thank you for that, I wondered if it was an apothecary cabinet but that makes more sense. What get's me is.... how come it's empty??? Janey, most of us would use to hide a mountain of sins.... 🤣
The cabinet in the bedroom is similar to a Tea Cabinet or an Apothecary Chest but it's a Korean Wedding Cabinet, or sometimes called a Marriage Chest. These pieces were tallboy wedding chests or cabinets made of elmwood featuring ornate brass floral, butterfly or bird accents. This large, rectangular chest, with its multiplicity of panels and moldings and ornamental hardware, indicate it was made for the women’s quarters in the home of a member of a wealthy family. Most household items were kept in the women’s quarters, stored within large cabinets and chests. These pieces of furniture were usually the most substantial and expensive in the home, presented to the couple upon their wedding.
One of my favorite tours, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home The interiors are approachable and welcoming Not over “decorated” The flow of the home is also so well done Just loved it
This was amazing- as others have echoed, Maggie was such a gracious host, not stuffy at all. Her well appointed home was totally livable and I love how she prioritizes her boys and you see their pictures and nods to her family at every turn. Also loved the way she had all of her nativity sets out, makes me feel like she is a follower of Christ! No wonder her light shines so bright! Thank you for featuring this talented young woman! ❤
Her choice of colour is absolutely stunning, calming, exciting and elevated the space so much. Each space is so carefully thought out. What a gracious host.
I’m so glad see the homes on The potted Boxwood. The tours are so lovely to look at, especially since the screen is larger. I love this home too. Because it’s new yet, 0:34 made to look like it’s been here all the time. Very classic!!
🤶 ~What a gorgeous home!! ~A tudor brought into the "light"!! So regal yet light, bright, & up to date. ~I also love her paint selections & draperies.... absolutely gorgeous drapes!! ~💫💫💫💫💫👍
I agree. I use my best China, flatware and glassware serving trays and bowls , platters candlecsticks etc everyday. One life to live. Make everyday a celebration.
Thank you for featuring her home. The last time I saw it I didn't get a sense of her style and it kind of read cookie cutter. However, you captured the essence of her style and design in your video. She is definitely talented and has a lovely home.
Such a warm and gracious host. Thank you for opening up your GORGEOUS home. Love, love your paint colors and trim from the oversized baseboards to the various wainscoat. My favorite room is your oldest son's. Wherever did you get that bed? It's fabulous!
I have the same white nativity figures. I made them at a ceramics class about 30 years ago. This home is breathtaking. The spaces are comfortable and usable. Love the traditional taste and all the touches of Christmas. Thank you to Maggie for sharing her home with us. The internet calls the "mystery" chest in your bedroom Asian-inspired stacking storage trunks. I saw several listed at estate sales across the country.
It’s refreshing to see so much love of family in every corner of her home. Such a beautiful and cozy home. Great personality too. Love everything. ❤️ Thank you for sharing. ❤️
Classic & Classy family home! Every detail well thought out & ‘3 boys’ friendly & yet so uniquely designed with antiques & happy colors & textures! Well done! 👌😍
So glad to see your a whole tour of your pretty apartment, have just caught glimpses of you all decorating and been anxious to see the finished interior. Love your channel and instagram. I wanted to tell you that I have a very similar look and I too have the Frame tv. You are right, they are pretty contemporary the way they come. I found a company you might like called Deco Frames and I did a beautiful gold guilt on mine. I chose one that’s the most fussy, but they have very tailored frames as well. They advertised that they take 2 minutes to put together once they ship to you and by gosh, it was the truth. It took even less time to hang on the tv itself! They are made specifically for the Frame and we were very impressed despite the cost!! It really allowed me to finally have a tv (after 30 years) in my formal living room! Anyway, I thought you might want to know about them. I love your tours and I have noticed the Frame TV in several homes and I’m amazed that some are not framed out. All I did was google frames for the Frame TV and that’s how I found them. They are on Instagram too. Good luck. Will continue to follow your great tours!! Kim Mawhiney, Overland Park, KS
I love her color choices. I didn’t see the cookie cutter. I think your home is beautiful and your talent is a refreshing. I am so over the black windows and gray walls.
This home is stunning! I love the sophistication yet it feels warm and welcoming. I am so interested in where she purchases her jute rugs, especially the jute and denim braided rug in the boys playroom. There are just too many places to purchase rugs that it's overwhelming!
Absolutely stunning home. I love how she has incorporated family pieces and older things into a new design. Nothing “cutesy” about this place, just beautiful! I’m beginning to start the process of designing our next home and this video has given me lots of inspiration.
Sometimes homes today can be a little pretentious / gauche, meaning a lot of extra rooms only used once per week or less. When she said “we use every inch” of the house, I believe it. You can tell each space serves a real purpose for their family. Love the gas lanterns and the timeless facade. I loved that the master bath has the shower hidden from initial view, I don’t like when a shower is the focal point, it felt like you were entering a spa where the shower is in a totally separate wing / room. I was surprised given her client projects that there wasn’t more blue & white chinoiserie but maybe some of that was put up to allow for the Christmas decor. I’d be interested to see a tour of it during a normal “non-holiday” month… Very timeless and classic without feeling overdone or excessively formal. The hardwoods, barrel entry & the custom draperies are ❤️
I love this home. I was writing down the colors( thanks Maggie for giving them to us) but when she said Knoxville Gray by B Moore, I thought she said Not so Gray....lol had to go back and listen again. I love that color and hope to use it one day in my own home. This is a home tour I will watch again because I am sure I missed things in the first and second viewing. Thanks for sharing.
I love that she doesn’t make her children be interior designers too and take their interest away and hide them but also they don’t take over the entire home. lol ❤
Hi, I’m wondering if the cabinet in your bedroom is a Korean kitchen cabinet?? The home is lovely.. thank you for sharing your warmth and style Respect from Canada🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦🙏🏻🕯️
The nativity set is ceramic and made from a Holland Mold from the late 60’s-mid 70’s, I believe. My grandmother made a set for our family around that time. I love the white version and have searched locally for several years for a set for myself. I have never seen the “manger/stable” though! It’s all lovely.
So lovely. I’m so happy to see someone young who embraces traditional/transitional style. So over the gray and white boxes.
This home is one of the best I've seen, maybe the best. Very honest and comfortable and beautiful. I've watched the video many times.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!! I wish I had her as my interior decorator!!! Her style is absolutely chic with tons of personality!!! Wow!!! I love that she embraces her son’s passions and not her own. Loved❤❤❤

No run of the mill.
Beautiful.
Her taste is wonderfully eclectic, warm, interesting, fun, and refined.
Gorgeous home! You can tell she decorates with her heart AND her eyes!
The homeowner would make a brilliant presenter, very knowledgeable and great delivery, coupled with amazing taste!
Beautiful home!! Love the use of passed down pieces. Just amazing !!

Adore the grass cloth. Who is the manufacturer? Nothing warms a room better.

This is the best house I’ve ever seen, how does she do it with 3 boys and a business. She is truly a treasure and so talented.
It’s lovely, exquisite taste … I paused it to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy it ♥️☕️🍰

Stop! The dining room wallpaper is stunning! Where can I buy it?
Beautiful
The piece in the bedroom is an apothecary cabinet/chest. They were used primarily in the 1800's by doctors for storing medicines and medical tools.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 😊

Beautiful home, great attention to detail. Any idea where the rug is from in the nursery? I am looking for one with those exact colors.
Beautiful! I would love to know the name of the wallpaper in the dining room?
Love her home. What is the color of her bar cabinets? I didn't get what she said. Her color choices are beautiful.
Beautiful Home! I do wonder where they keep all of their clothes? There has to be a secret hiding place somewhere.
Hi there! Oh, I love this young ladies home! Is it possible to find out what her countertops are in the kitchen and pantry and mudroom please?
Love the Chinoserie? wallpaper
