My best friend of over a decade passed away suddenly 2 weeks ago. This was the song he always loved and had said if he ever died, should be his funeral song. I played it to him at the funeral home standing over him so he'd hear it one last time. I never appreciated this song as much as I do now.

I wanted it all with that dude, I found him so fascinating. Now I'm 25 and he stopped loving me. I realised all the love I tried to give or transmit with this piece came back to me.

😪 A very good friend of mine (best man at 1st wedding) passed away recently, after a short battle with cancer, knew him all my adult life, we spent a great summer djing in Corfu, and shortly after while going through his many many House and dance tunes with his son, I was amazed to find this, I also have on vinyl, but I didn't know he even knew the song or liked it, we listened to it with some of his family, there where tears... now I shall have this at my funeral ❤
I discovered Sébastien Tellier at the same age, and went to the best concert I ever experienced. This was so intense, and this song was played. I'll always remember it, it was so unique, so beautiful. Whatever your age, it not matters : your feelings are the only important thing in front of music. Ps: thanks to you I feel, again, these strong and unique emotions that I felt this day. Thank you a lot for that, really.
Its like the top hat symbol in the drum beat is our life ,and its constant . And all the ot he r music the bother sounds Te in relation with our life. Completely introspective for me everytime I listen to this it takes me to a calm and near perfect state of control and focus. It honestly blows my mind how it can do that for me
When your heart gets hit with the chills... Love this masterpiece. Shout out to the late master drummer Tony Allen laying down his crazy Afrobeat rhythm over this. RIP Sir!
This song's reputation grows with each passing year. If humanity is still around at the end of the twenty-first century, this might be the only song from the first decade that anyone will even know. Most pop songs are ephemeral but this is timeless.
this song brings me peace but reminds one day this will all be over at the same time. feels like it could only be placed at an ending of something. it's beautiful, hard to put into words.
Listening to this song on vacation in France while my oldest son underwent surgery. My wife stays with him for the night, while our two other kids and me sleep at our cottage a few dozen kilometres away. It hurts. Love to everyone and their families. X
This has got to be one of the best pieces of music ever written. It has it all, joy, sadness , dispair, longing, nostalgia, happiness. It digs into the soul and brings up all emotions, times, memories it is truely awesome. I can laugh, smile, cry and dispair in a matter on minutes. But I love ❤️ it. The human emotion, mind and feelings that can be triggered by music is amazing.

Beautiful sentiment ....... a true friend indeed. 🙏
This was amazing at the paralympics..
Beautiful tune
Sorry for my french !!

RIP l'artiste
Seventeen years I've loved this song and the emotion it stirs never lessens.
Never.

I have it on Spotify. Jam to it on repeat sometimes, when I'm on the road 😄
always
This might be my favourite song of all time.
Its up there for me...
Same here ! Can’t stop coming back to it !
Its like the top hat symbol in the drum beat is our life ,and its constant . And all the ot he r music the bother sounds Te in relation with our life. Completely introspective for me everytime I listen to this it takes me to a calm and near perfect state of control and focus. It honestly blows my mind how it can do that for me
no might in sight. this is the one
Effortlessly beautiful ❤
When your heart gets hit with the chills... Love this masterpiece.
Shout out to the late master drummer Tony Allen laying down his crazy Afrobeat rhythm over this. RIP Sir!
This make feel infinite and very small at the same time.

'I am the biggest of small things right now."
This was my wedding song, we eloped, so it was just us, this music and the scottish wild countryside.
This is the best of French, the true vibe of Paris, walking the streets at 2.am in the morning, La vie, toujour is an amazing gift.❤
Un petit chef d'œuvre ❤

This song is underrated... but then again was made for a select few like us. 👌🏽😭✊🏿

Exactly
This song's reputation grows with each passing year. If humanity is still around at the end of the twenty-first century, this might be the only song from the first decade that anyone will even know. Most pop songs are ephemeral but this is timeless.
It won't be! ⚡⚡
I've never heard it before today... and I only came here because of a reddit post about sampling in songs.
This will have to be my funeral song I think. Masterpiece
Same. Perfect to explain a human experience life...

the most romantic song ever
This song is one of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard in my life. There's such a haunting quality to it and can't put my finger on.
this song brings me peace but reminds one day this will all be over at the same time. feels like it could only be placed at an ending of something. it's beautiful, hard to put into words.
It makes me sort of sad to know I will never be as effortlessly cool as Sebastien Tellier.
+phuturephunk oh dont be. im sure you're cool enough for someone :)
this attitude in and of itself is the most uncool thing ever..
+Vibrant Void I think it's more of a compliment to Sebastien than some self hating.
+Toby Prince you have a point

Listening to this song on vacation in France while my oldest son underwent surgery. My wife stays with him for the night, while our two other kids and me sleep at our cottage a few dozen kilometres away. It hurts. Love to everyone and their families. X
A fortiori
This is just one of the most underrated artist of all time.
...7 minutes 40... De pure intensité. 💚
I’m still listening to this song in 2023 and brings back so many memories 🥺
this music makes you feel like you met an old lover or friend
big up to Tony Allen
the genious drummer wich is the groove, the heart, of this song !!!!
😍
Bass line is quite wicked as well but drumming makes this song.
goddamn right, saw him in live for a couple of euro, that was so good, wish i could go back in time...
His drumming is truly effortless. If you ever get to see him drum live he barely moves his arms!!
Sébastien is an outstanding pianist and composer. The way he develops the melody and builds emotion is truely poignant.
Pięknie napisane
This has got to be one of the best pieces of music ever written. It has it all, joy, sadness , dispair, longing, nostalgia, happiness. It digs into the soul and brings up all emotions, times, memories it is truely awesome. I can laugh, smile, cry and dispair in a matter on minutes. But I love ❤️ it. The human emotion, mind and feelings that can be triggered by music is amazing.
Dju: This is a masterpiece. Thank you for sharing it with me Julie. I truly hope and wish for you the most beautiful adventures in life. Until we meet again, if your heart and our lives are kind enough to give us a second chance someday. J.T.A.M.E.

You cannot say that before listening to the "French touch" of the beginning of the 20th century : Debussy, Ravel, Fauré, Poulenc...
Ode to the sheer grace of life. I cry
This song started to play in the car when I was coming back home after breaking up with someone I really loved so much!!! Its my farewell song
Always leave love with a smile on your face :) feel good about having had such emotions
I love this. I want this played at my funeral

Lyrics :
Oh nothing's going to change my love for you
I wanna spend my life with you
So we make love on the grass under the moon
No one call tell, damned if I do
Forever journey on golden avenues
I drift in your eyes since I love you
I got that beat in my veins for only rule
Love is to share, mine is for you
