Amazing. When people come into my place for the 1st time and see a 125 sitting there and say wow thats a big tank I just grin and say its nothing and you sir define big tanks. Amazing setups and awesome fish selection and setups. I love my american cichlid people
that tank in the garage is crystal clear and freakin gorgeous, youve inspired me, when i get older im gonna get a huuuggee tank in my garage and make it a chill space like you!
I noticed that the Mayan cichlid wasn't in the amphilophus tank. I think it's very cool that cichlid was your oldest and still going. Thank you for posting videos. I find it very inspiring.
Totally stunned! What an exquisite collection of fish and the size of your tanks is humbling. I can only imagine the water change chores involved. Fixing to be a new subscriber!
Stunning fish. I know next to nothing about this branch of cichlids as I've been fully into Africans for most of my fishkeeping life. Your video has got me thinking....
holy crap, you have tanks in nearly every room of the house, even the laundry room ,lol. But your fish are awesome and you're taking excellent care of them, so cheers!!
i had dreams before of a house with tanks like you have. this is the first time that i have ever been able to see anything like this and be awake. great job!
thanks for sharing. Its nice to hear the information on all of the fish and the scientific names. That's rare in most videos I see. Your doviis must never make it to NY state, I never see them around here. Great looking fish.
@guapotemel your the master - a year old fishkeeper here love the amphilopus labiatus. Always keep watching your uploads again your the master I will always follow your advice/try to be close the way you do fishkeeping. Thank you Master Mel
STUNNING VIDEO AND FISH/TANKS!!!!! If you happen to have any medium to larger male Haitiensis I would be willing to pay some good money one. Keep up the great work!
I raise most of my own fish. I get some from a locale pet shop in Burien,WA called A Place For Pets and I get some from Tangled Up IN Cichlids. I visit monsterfishkeepers,ACA Forum and The Cichlid Room Companion, I am changing water on one or more tanks every day. Most of my tanks get 2 water changes a week
If you add the total number of gallons of water in your house it would be equivalent to the distance from the earth to the sun 40 times. Lol great tanks :) I wish I could afford a 75 :/
WOW, i just saw your video. Beautiful tanks and Cichlids. How do you support the huge tanks and how are the water changes and filtration? I love them, I want to know how do you take care of these huge tanks. Great work! Great Video!
The latest science has them as the same species, never been a lot of difference just the Midas seem to have thicker rounder bodies/heads while the devils have more elongated snouts and bodies...
Nice to see Central american cichlids for a change, instead of Africans. Really awesome tanks. I myself have some Jags & Dempseys in a 180. Just a question, though. What is your water bill like? Do you get a discount from the water company?
@GuapoteMel Just curious when you do a water change how much water do you typically take out? How do you think your male grammodes would do in one of your larger systems say your 1000 gallon? I could hang out in your fishroom for hours you would not even know I was there beacause i would be speechless.Look forward to seeing more videos.
On most tanks about 50 to 60 % on the 1,000 only about 20% at a time. Grammodes would do fine if introduced with all the others. Introduced alone not so well
Some realy realy nice fish woow! i subbed! I get my pair wild catch Red terrors(festea) next Friday!!! :D I have now a tank with a pair convicts,a pair green terrors,a pair firemouth chiclids, a pair hero severums, a pair red heads, a pair flowerhorns =D!
@@GuapoteMel Thanks Mel. They are amazing looking . I keep Frontosas myself and have some very large specimens. Feel free to check out some of my Videos and it would be an honour to get some comments from you. Regards
what is your secret to having such aggro tanks work together, is it really just the free open swimming space? i always thought it was some kind of formuler, or maybe raisin together as fry.. something along those lines.. what say you
wow!! this is very nice!! i envy all ur set up and exotic cichlids. who do u order from? also what sites do you go on? im13 and ive been in this cichlid thing since i was like 10 maybe 11.. ive had lots of cichlids in the few years ive had all my cichlids.. currently all i have tho is a jaguar pair, dovii pair, carpintis pair.. and a lot other cichlids.. how ofeten do you water change and feed? great set up. (make an upstairs video)
I really enjoyed this this video. I made my day. I see you are a big user of Eheim. I am also. I see that you use alot of Tetra krill. Have you ever visited jehmco website site. With what you are feeding it may provide you an opportunity to save on your feeding bill, and they have great service. You did a great job explaning what you had going on. The midas are my flag ship fish but I do not have any at this time.
that's weird, a youtube video with happy healthy fish. nice to see for a change.
Amazing. When people come into my place for the 1st time and see a 125 sitting there and say wow thats a big tank I just grin and say its nothing and you sir define big tanks. Amazing setups and awesome fish selection and setups. I love my american cichlid people

I love both the loiselli and original P. Fred. Varietes. Great value for size lol
Great stuff, the Dovii tank and Trimac/tiger tanks are like watching the fish in their wild home waters... could sit and stare in them for hours.
Totally stunned! What an exquisite collection of fish and the size of your tanks is humbling. I can only imagine the water change chores involved. Fixing to be a new subscriber!

"I'm to lazy to go upstairs and show my other tanks" Lol come on old man!
Thank you, it is a lot of work but a lot of fun as well!
The arrow cichlids or zaliousis are doing the same thing they would do in the wild, sympatric speciation, looks like it to me at least 👍
Could be you're right
Great fish. Spectacular to say the least.
Thanks so much for the tour! I'm only up to about 800g in total tankage!
@guapotemel your the master - a year old fishkeeper here love the amphilopus labiatus. Always keep watching your uploads again your the master I will always follow your advice/try to be close the way you do fishkeeping. Thank you Master Mel

Wow your so lucky!
I had them custom made for me a few years back by a locale craftsman.
Please do another fish room update!

So the large space lessen aggression and make them more docile?
Or does it allow the bullied to escape and not get pursued and pummeled?
maravilloso!!!
Those lovely Red fish you have. Are they Midas or Devils? Thanks
Both
@@GuapoteMel Thanks Mel. They are amazing looking . I keep Frontosas myself and have some very large specimens. Feel free to check out some of my Videos and it would be an honour to get some comments from you. Regards
