Schöne Verhaltensweisen bei der Brutpflege der Buntbarsche. Genial! Gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut. Sowas kennt man ja sonst nur vom Aquarium. (Die Musik habe ich allerdings nach einer halben Minute auf Null gezogen.)

Well.... maybe some incredible extreme natural aquariums? Genius! Just Genius! I wish I was this smart! I'm lovin this. Please! Please! Give me some pieces of this! Incredible camera... aquariums... or not? This is master quality stuff. Absolutely the best I've seen in the sense of natural.

Fantastic. Is that a Blue Acara I see near the beginning?
Love all that parenting. Damn it's tough to be a parent there with all those lurking mouths around. Think I saw some swordtails and convict cichlids too. Plus a variety of tetra species.
My favourite was the black and white one, gorgeous whatever it was.
This is a great video on how to furnish our aquariums, sand/wood/rocks, throw some leaves in for good measure ;)

Hi! Thanks. Yes, the first fish is from the Blue Acaras group. The name of Blue Acara is reserved for Andinoacara pulcher (formerly Aequidens), but there are three species hardly distinguishable in the Blue Acara group (Andinoacara pulcher, A. latifrons and A. coeruleopunctatus which is in the video). The "black and white" is Hypsophrys nematopus (formerly Neetroplus) and is called "Poor Man's Tropheus" pointing out the coloration typical to African genus Tropheus...:-)

Great video! Nice fishes! Funny music.
The other fishes beside the cichlids are not less interesting. There are salmons Astyanax and an other sort with red fins. What is it? In the part Costa Rica you can see a sort of Poecilia or Xiphophorus with various coloured dorsal fins. What is this? Would be very kind to tell me. I keep Xiphophorus heleri and X. variatus and Amatitlania. The viviparians are most interesting for me.
Thank you for the nice film and some informations.

Hi, no, Green Terror is Andinoacara (formerly Aequidens) rivulatus from the pacific coast of South America (Peru and Ecuador). These are Andinoacara coeruleopunctatus from the group of Blue Acaras, the relatives belonging to the same genus...

@GoliadX yes, it is mine, thank you:_). Shots from Panama originate in tributaries of the river Tuira (A. coeruleopunctatus and A. calobrensis), and from Chririqui province in north-west (T. sieboldii)..
