@@sarahboparker I work at Store DJ in Sydney Australia the build quality of Pioneer controllers and media players has decreased. I now mostiy sell Dennon Prime 4 + stand alone controllers . Very few clubs that are left in Australia have the budget for four media players and an overpriced mixer
@sarahboparker Hi Sarah I do sales and repairs at Store DJ Alexandria Sydney Australia. There are a number of specific issues with Alphatheta. Rekord box is buggy and unreliable. The quality of the Alphatheta controllers is abysmal to say the least in comparison with Hercules who BTW invented DJ controllers. I use a Hercules Starlight which has a number of key features that teach beat mixing and other core skills such as mixing in Key. The inpulse 300 and 500 take the hardware teaching concept even further. To add to that Clubs in Britain 🇬🇧 are being closed at the rate of 25 on average per month. So the DJ console needs to be Streaming compatible as Twitch and Mixcloud are taking off as the way forward.
Heya :) If we want to learn for the art and the craft and not to perform, are there certain things we can take off our list that are more geared for performing and bookings?
Love this! For home use 1x usb, DJ controller, rekordbox subscription and headphones would work nicely. I'd still suggest to back up your music off your laptop but if it's smaller volumes - you can create a dropbox account or use iCloud to store your music. Hope that helps :)
Thanks so much for your comment! I personally don't like to use streaming platforms to access or play my music - I would only really suggest to use this if you have a wedding gig and need to access a wide library of genres. I always recommend to always purchase a USB when playing out live shows then you only need to bring a USB with you (instead of laptop etc). There are multi ways to go out performing a live show and it is always down to personal preference - good to hear this could be yours!!
Thanks for sharing your opinion! Denon is decent, but I will always recommend Pioneer as this is universal equipment and I also find students/other DJs enjoy learning / to play from the most
@@bboymac84 yes that is a super useful feature from Denon! When using Pioneer DJ equipment a USB / laptop is still essential - every club/venue/event spaces currently use Pioneer as standard, globally
@@bboymac84Great to know you're an advocate for Denon! I personally recommend to learn with Pioneer, especially if your intention is to become a club & event DJ
Super informative, didn’t know about the customised earplugs! So good thank you ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!!
I love it ❤❤❤
Soo glad you found it valuable :) more videos to come!
You are right ear plugs is essential 💪🏽
It takes a while to get used to them whilst playing ... but I couldn't do a gig without them now!
Thanks Sarah , as a very newbie I found your advice very helpful 👍
Ahh amazing so glad to hear - I have more info & insight coming this week!

Missing usb? That’s why we have streaming in programs like Algorithm Djay pro

@@sarahboparker good thing denon has WiFi built in. They just beat pioneer in every category 💪🏽
Denon is just way better than CDJs 🤷🏾♂️
