  • An 11-year-old boy in Queensland became so captivated by the glossy black cockatoos he saw in bushland near his home, he started a campaign to save the bird's local habitat. Spencer's campaign has attracted tens of thousands of supporters. The glossy black cockatoo - once common along the eastern seaboard - is now officially listed as vulnerable to extinction.
