    The group leader is definitely hired by Vaught. A place to bring together the victims of supes, tell them not to get angry or fight back - and we also saw they're not allowed to name their attackers. A great way to make it more difficult for members to go after an attacker, to avenge them or something similar. Telling the victims to let go, to accept their losses and never speak out... fuckin' genius way to protect the supes reign of terror.

      And also to keep track of the victims as well.
      Any that look like they might speak out and cause trouble, the group leader can give Vought a heads up, to get their lawyers ready to either bribe or intimidate them into silence, and if neither of those work... well, I guess they'll get a visit from Black Noir.

      No wonder that Vought writer Seth was there, he's probably sit there gathering stories from these victims and trying to make it better for his hero's origin story pitches(maybe movie scripts too), you know. Skppied those sensitive topic to make sure when they introducing new hero, no one or non of these victims will remember their trauma and losses.

    This is one of my favorite scenes of the entire show. I love how Butcher doesn’t hold back, and plus he warned them twice, so that’s their fault they got what they got. This scene is what made Butcher one of my favorite characters in the series. They didn’t take him seriously, so he taught them a lesson.

      There's a really big difference so u shouldn't be comparing both universes, i mean if spiderman accidentally let someone fall of a building and that person gets badly hurt, he will take the responsbility, he will care because he's a good superhero.
      Instead, well, i don't know why should i tell and example but think about homelander, did he cared when he 'helped' that su|cid3 girl? Or take the responsbility for the plane that he let fall, with all these people, you know, with that kind of hero i would better be at home without my head ripped off, instead of complaining

      @@josegc9802to add onto that, in the marvel universe, theres no "Superhero company" meaning there's no one running PR or manipulating victims into silence. Notice how he said he wasn't allowed to say who it was who hurt him? No doubt Ashley forced him to sign an NDA to not go public. In marvel the heros reputation is purely whatever the public happens to see. They don't do interviews or press junctions and no one is trying to hide dirty laundry from prying eyes.

    • @JDog2656

      @@josegc9802 Well the problem there is that it starts to lean into the whole Civil War issue. People start sensationalizing what they see and what happens and taking it out of context. With JJ Jameson, he is most of the time very incorrect and purposefully twists his media to fit that sentiment. Suddenly everyone starts hating on Spidey because they are just as complaint and taking things at face value. Then you have Spidey's problem of taking too much flak for something beyond his control. In this one recent issues he was helping firefighters and unfortunately they all missed a woman's husband who was still in there. She cried out and criticized him , but that was mostly the grief in the moment talking. My favorite part about it is that one of the fire fighters actually talks to him about it and tries to help him deal because he had had a similar situation happen. No matter what training or powers they have, they are not always going to save everyone because they are ultimately human and can only do so much.
      My point is, in comparison to the Boys here, is that the pendulum keeps swinging from one end to the other. Either people are compliant towards the genuine injustices here and apathetic about it, or they are quick to lash out against incidents when people genuinely tried to help and fell short of expectations.

    I've always wondered why I felt so irritated whenever someone, whether it be in TV/media in general or in real life, says to try to move on whenever someone dies or some other misfortune. Seeing this scene from this show, along with reading an essay called "The Abolition of Work" by Bob Black, I realized that it wasn't the lesson in and of itself that was the problem - it was the way it's used to keep people compliant and ignorant from seeing the real cause of so much misery in our time - civilization.

    • @JDog2656
      @JDog2656 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      The way I see it, that particular wording comes off as very disrespectful or dismissive of the person who died. Like they suddenly don’t matter anymore. To be clear, I am not against letting go of pain, hate, and vengeance because those are inherently corrosive and self-destructive feelings that can make things worse. But that does not mean standing by and doing nothing in the face of injustice or treating someone like they are suddenly a big fat nothing. Cause there is a thin line between acceptance and abandonment. Especially to survivors

    This lowkey is piece of the amount of hate, grudge and rage Butcher feels about the Supes, including the one he hates the most out of all of them. After S4 ended this scene hit different but now with Homelander taking over the presidency and making his own regime. With him driving off with the virus, he's done taking any more chances and I think that he reached his breaking point with trying to save Ryan so Season V, it's on sight for all supes.
