Greetings Sir, have you tested the Firman tri-fuel generator 7500? I saw it in Costco for a good price. I wanted to know if is better than the Genmax 7250 dual fuel.
I have this generator but am disapointed that there is no battery maintainer included to keep the battery ready, in storage, for quick use. When not in use I have to remove the side panel and battery to connect my own battery maintainer. I checked with A-IPower and they say just start it with the rope starter if the battery is dead. This does not sound good for the battery. If the power switch is turned on so that you can use remote start, how long will the battery last? Any thoughts?
@@GeneratorReviews Thanks for your reply. I have already purchased the battery tender but I am physically challanged and can not get to the battery. I will have my son-in-law attach it when he visits.

If you had to chose one generator for home back up, of these two which would you pick. A-ipower GXS 7100ird inverter or the Genmax inverter GM 7200iedc?
VetRed, hope you’re well. I purchased this in December. I installed a Duel 30amp C.B. in my panel with an Interlock to switch from 100amp Utility power(shut 100amp C.B. off) then push Interlock up and turn on your 30amp C.B. on. Then after you run your 10/4 Cable to the outside of home. You connect that to the 30amp Power input plug 4 prong. Your Generator cable 4 prong gets plugged into your 4 prong twist lock input plug that powers your C.B. Panel. GSX7100iRD is duel fuel, Priority is Propane when that’s empty, it AUTOMATICALLY switches to Gasoline without you doing anything. Which means a very long run time. It has an Electric Start, 2 Remotes, it’s very quiet, it’s THD is less than 3 THD, so it will be safe with your Sensitive Equipment. It has a drain tube to empty Carburetor. It has a drain tube to change your oil. Beautiful display, very bright, it shows hours used, Watts using, amps. using and many other functions. It’s parallel ready. ( PK12000). Plugs to charge your phones. It has a handle that pulls out with large wheels to move around your property. So The Teacher Gavin uses a 50amp Power input plug, I have a 30amp Input plug connected to my C.B. Panel. All for $999. Check prices of all other Inverter Generators with that 7100 watts. You will NOT beat it. Remember it has all those features. THD = Total Harmonic Distortion = Pure sine wave= Clean Power to your sensitive equipment = you won’t destroy your computer or phones or laptop or router. All the best to you, Mike ienuso (Veteran). Hi James
Engineering is my life 😊 Thanks for watching my channel and subscribing 👍🏾
Will this be a good generator for back up for home use
Yes with 240v it’s perfect 👍🏾
Hey Gavin✌️ How would I know if this generator will power the a/c on my home?
It depends on the size of your house ac unit
By doing math.
Just buy a battery tender, install the quick connect to your generator slide it on the side of the cover so you can charge when in storage
@@GeneratorReviews Thanks for your reply. I have already purchased the battery tender but I am physically challanged and can not get to the battery. I will have my son-in-law attach it when he visits.
Newer models have the battery tender included. I think this is a revision to the original. I wonder if that’s why there was a sale of the $999 models, new ones are different.
Yes, the updated version(bought Dec'23@ Costco) comes with a battery tender and port on the control panel for easy connection
@@ryananderson174 And the current sale was at $899
How’s this unit holding up?
The starter went out and wouldn’t start.
I just bought 2 of these A-iPower GXS7100iRD 7100W Dual Fuel Inverter Generators from Costco as backups to power my house but I can't find a Link to put them together, the company says their working on it but it won't be available for another year or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Mike :)
You should be able to use a parallel kit from a different manufacturer.
Hi Mike. My name is also Mike. Hope you’re well.
Call Customer Service again and speak to
Oscar Orozco (Manager).

Thanks Mike Fullcircleinsurance
If you had to chose one generator for home back up, of these two which would you pick. A-ipower GXS 7100ird inverter or the Genmax inverter GM 7200iedc?
The Genmax has the 50 amp plug which makes it easier to connect to the home
All the best to you,
Mike ienuso (Veteran).
Gavin#1 Thanks Gavin for all your hard work and teachings. 10:10

@@mikeienuso1926 I would like to thank you for the valuable information. Just waiting on a sale price. Thank you for your service. I to am a veteran of the Army. Have a great day
Gavin, can you help me out?
I have an AI Volt VS 8000411 duel fuel inverter generator. Above the 30AMP plug, there's a 120 240V switch. When I'm using the 30A plug, where should the switch be? 120 or 240?
The switch should always be left on 240. Both legs will be powered.
@GeneratorReviews Thanks a lot, Gavin!!!

I bought mine ❤
Where can I buy this generator?
Costco but I don’t know if it’s in stock
Can you parallel this with the GM7250iEDC on 240v mode, and get 11,700 watts out of the 50 amp plug on the genmax?
I will definitely try.
@@GeneratorReviews I know you're busy, but have you tried this yet? I'm about to buy both of these generators, but hesitant until I know if it works.
Costco currently has this generator on sale for $899.99. It seems like a screaming deal for that.
why did u keep it on low ideal all the time? on big loads like urs, u need to use without low ideal
A properly sized generator can run on low idle to be more fuel efficient.
As always, great video!

The problem is the gas tank is WAY, WAY too small. That size generator needs at least a 7-gallon tank and a 10 gallon would be even better.
Gavin I just got this generator and hooked it up to my 50 amp rv. My Hughes watch Dog threw a code E7 missing ground. I'm using a bonding plug, any ideas why.
You need to bound the 30a plug
@@GeneratorReviews Do you have a link to show how to do this? Thank you.
@@davidraue9103 I will make it for you
@Gavin’s Garage Thank you every much.
@Gavin’s Garage, so I'm using the 4 pin twist lock to 50 amp RV adaptor. Do I need to bond the L5-30 amp outlet?
