Great video, very informative thank you! My 2020 AT4 HD came with the trailering package, including the sensors. I installed the sensors myself, and purchased the learn tool off of amazon. We went to Texas for the winter, then decided the trailer wasn't big enough for the wife, 3 pups and I so we purchased a fifth wheel, and sold our TT. Unfortunately I didn't remove the sensors and let them go with the trailer.
I just finished purchasing new TTPMS sensors from the local dealership, and the reason being when I asked about replacements, the first thing they asked for was the Vin# on the truck, so this led me to believe that in order to get the right ones I needed to buy them from the dealer. Long story short, these new sensors and my lack of knowledge cost me about $300. Thanks again for the video, everyone is welcome to learn from my mistakes, and your information...
PS. at least I kept the scan tool, so that saved me 20 bucks LOL!

my 2020 A/T4 does not want to pair bought them off of eBay. I tried everything but they won"t pair.

Good video. Thinking of buying two more to add my spares on truck and trailer. Truck is under order. I guess I will have to tell it I have 6 wheel trailer and remember which 2 are my spares. Or is there a better option?

TPMS is awesome, no problems, But my camera for the prograde trailer blacks out after a few minutes for all applications using the rear camera. Anyone having those problems.

Can you tell me what to look for to buy these for my gmc 2020, just bought a new fifth wheel, do they have to be gmc sensors,
Hi Brian. If you do a search for trailer sensors for your particular truck several different ones will come up. I think about any GM sensor that works on 433 mghz will work. The main thing is to make sure they will work on your trailer as far as handling the tire pressure etc. for your fifth wheel. Thanks so much for watching and have a great rest of the week. Kent

I own a Chevrolet Silverado, 2500HD, XLT, Diesel. What were the specifications of the TPMS Sensors you purchased? I enjoyed this video and realize I need these for Lucy, our Imagine Travel Trailer.

Good old diesel for us. Pulls the trailer great.
I purchased a tpms kit off Amazon last year and I wonder if the relearn tool will read the sensors that came with that
I don't think the aftermarket sensors will work. I had an aftermarket kit and it would not work with the package on my truck. Thanks for watching. Kent

On my 2024 2500, the 'letting air out' method works perfectly. I've actually had to do it several times because I had a problem with the trailer profile disappearing. After reseting the whole system, it stopped losing the profile. My horn chirped after draining about 5 lbs of air for each tire. I may get one of those tools anyway because it's more convenient.

@@colongarnto4695 I have the same question as you. All the TPMS tools say they will not work in the '24 GMCs. Strange.
Do you have which brand of TPMS you purchased on eBay?
Hi Scott. I do not remember. I searched for trailer tpms sensors for a 2020 GMC 2500hd and several came up. Almost any GM tpms sensor will work as long as it is 433 mhz. Sorry I can't find brand. Hey guys. It is really convenient not having to have another screen to keep track of when driving. We also found out it works. Second trip out with it and had a tire losing air. I bought a cheapie TPMS set for my pickup (1999 GMC Sierra) a couple of years ago and loved it…until I came out one day to go to my VA appointment and my front right tire was flat! I’ll buy another set that’s more expensive and much better when I go full time…unless it’s built into the Pleasureway I’m planning on buying! Great video snd good information! We love the TPMS. Its already saved us from one disaster. We had a tire go down on us going to Virginia. Thank goodness it warned us when tire pressure got down to 50 pounds and we were able to exit off the interstate in to a parking lot to change the tire. Is all the trailering stuff a specific package you have to purchase with your truck? Shopping new Chevy 2500s
Yes on the stuff inside the truck. The GMC is called the ProGrade package. Not sure on Chevy. Sometimes they call it something different. You can buy the sensors aftermarket for the tires, but if you buy the truck with the trailering package ask them to throw the sensors in with it. The GM sensors are not real expensive if you get them when buying the truck. If purchased afterwards they get a lot more expensive. Aftermarket sensors do work though. Thanks for watching. The sensors were a $50 option when I ordered my 2022 3500
After setting up, does it have a low pressure warning
Hi Gary. The only reason you would have a low pressure warning is if one of the tires is low. If you are referring to if it will give a low pressure warning if a tire goes low yes it will. It will come up on your dash. Hope this answers your question. Kent
How did you get the TPMS ? Do you remember the part number? My dealership is no help.
If your truck has the GMC ProGrade trailering package or on Chevrolet I think it might be called something else then the part number for the tpms sensors is 84152501. I had them installed by a tire shop and then programmed them myself with the tool in the video. They work awesome. Actually any GM 433MGHZ sensor will work. if you install these and are not in the trailer screen will it let you know if one is low or getting hot? like on the truck it will ding light will come on and say hey this tire is low will it do the same on the trailer or is it something that you just have to keep an eye on?
Hi Chris. It will come on even if not in the actual screen. I have had this experience a couple of times. It will actually come on in the info center where speedometer is at if you have a problem. It saved us from ruining a tire or blowout and tearing the trailer up. This system has worked great. Thanks for commenting. Have a great week. Kent
