How are you liking it so far? I have the Grand Design Imagine XLS 22BHE and a 2024 Sierra 1500 I’ll be towing it with. Just about to purchase this camera system. I also mostly just want it as a rear camera but for the price and wired right into the main screen it seems like a no brainer over some cheapo sketchy system or even more expensive systems that are just a camera. I like how there’s also backup assist built in with this too. Thats what I’m excited about as I don’t have a ton of trailering experience. Do the backup assist options help much? Thanks

How many miles did it take to calibrate. I just installed mine today and i couldn't calibrate it over two straight miles. It was cloudy so that may be an issue.

It seems to me the sync is lost when the battery disconnect happens between camping trips. Can anybody confirm this????

GMG's (and others...) are china scrap metal junk. Buy an American made smoker with 1/8th to 3/16'ths thick metal and a US made pellet system. I have had 3 of the GMG's and 2 Traeger's. The original Traeger was built in Oregon. Since then, they are junk. I finally spent the money and bought a thick, heavy made US smoker and I'll never have to buy another one. Don't be fooled by the bells and whistles. Just lipstick on a pig.

50 gallon is a better fit. Less wasted space

A better alternative avoiding any heavy fat tire e-bike lifting. First raise the empty plastic container vertically, then roll in the foldable 60 pounds Aipas A2 Elite (almost identical e-bike to Lectric XP 3.0) to the vertically-positioned bin. Unfold the car dog ramp and slide the bin with the foldable step-through e-bike in the vehicle trunk. No any lifting required compared to video-displayed method. Enjoy your e-bike transportation.

Just found a video from 2 years ago of what looks like the exact same vehicle and camper pulling out of a barn at someone farm, can't be a coincidence . Yamasuk 250 Volkswagen camper.

Can you give me any information on the metal battery box you have on your RV?

Will the rear camera view stay on screen continuously when driving at highway speeds or does it time out? When driving at night and a vehicle approaches from the rear do their headlights whiteout your viewing screen? If backing into a campsite at night is there sufficient light to see clearly? Does the camera have IR lights and camera function for low light?

You didn't mention which Lectric bikes you both have. I have an XP 3.0 and my partner an XP Lite. The 40 gallon totes I got are too small for the 3.0, but I haven't tried the Lite with the tote yet.

The size of the XP 2.0 Step Through is not listed on their web site. The manual shows the overall size but not the folded up size. Seems like they forgot us early adopters. Turns out they won't fit in our truck under the tonneau cover. God video.

That's where my bathroom is so installing that might be a problem. Also, trying to backup with the trailer seems it might be an issue since it seems that the camera is calibrated as if it is installed on the rear of the truck vs the perspective of rear of the trailer. All in all though, it seems to be an easy installation. Far easier than my Furrion.

It would be cool if the video played in the rear view mirror.

Just wondering, since it has been a while since this was posted, how this has worked out for you. I was curious whether you have had any issues with water kicking up from the tow vehicle and going through the vents? Are there weep holes in the bottom of the box? Would it work better to put the vents on the back side of the box?

Great video, very helpful! I do have a question. As you said, GM suggests routing the cable over the roof of the trailer. Like you, I want to route it underneath. It looks like you left it in the mount as it came from GM and then bent the cable into a U to route it back downward under the trailer. How has this worked out for you? Any long term issues?

Any chance you can tell me how far the camera sticks out from the mounting surface? I want to mount it to a cargo trailer with a ramp type rear door and need to make sure it won't hit the ground when the ramp is down.

I got a plastic inexpensive folding dog ramp. I fold my bike and roll it up the ramp. Works great and easy on the back. I’m 77 easy on the back. No lifting.

I just got my 3.0 and I finished the assembly process. I’m now trying how to learn how to work the gears, PAS and gear box. This video is definitely a big help. I hope I can learn how to shift it. Thanks.

I'm only 5'2 and 60 at that. I can only lift my Gotrax R2 about one foot off the ground. I'm gonna use my doggie ramp & a wheeled 45 g bin to roll it up the trunk.
