Honestly, I think the court is afraid of a crime of passion where a father of one of the girls kills Bryan in the courtroom due to pent up anger. This has happened a bunch in the past and these types of situations need to be accounted for.
Why? I mean, I get that the proceedings need to be public with court reporters and so on, but I also know that's not what you mean. You probably think there need to be cameras in every courtroom, and again I ask why, even though I know the answer is that you want to gawk at it. You're not on the jury, get the hell out of here.
His lawyers are just doing their due diligence trying to bloc evidence, It's a pretty standard thing for lawyers to do but it doesn't mean they'll be successful at blocking the DNA evidence. I'd be shocked if he isn't found guilty.
I can tell you as a PhD candidate, a first year + first semester PhD student pretends to know everything about their field, but really their knowledge is limited. So he can think he knows, but he does not know.

He left his knife sheath with his fingerprints in the victim's blood on it at the scene and brought his phone with him at the time of the murders and when he went back to the scene of the crime pinging cell towers both times. There's no expectation of privacy in a public database especially when his relatives voluntarily submitted their DNA to find relatives. Numerous perps have been found using this technique and subsequently convicted from their own DNA. The judge is allowing this to make sure there's no appealable issues after the conviction.
Not quite correct there what you've said. After the Golden State killer was caught using this method, many DNA companies changed their policy and asked users if their DNA could be made available to law enforcement, hence why after GS killer was caught there was a flurry caught using his method and then once companies changed policy, not as many matches were made. If his dad or whoever had selected not to share results with law enforcement and law enforcement or the company disregarded this, then it's most likely the evidence will be thrown out.
His fingerprints weren't found on anything, idiot. Quit making things up. Nothing else you said is accurate either, but I'm not taking anything you said in good faith so I won't bother refuting it.
It's part of the obligation to provide the accused with a fair trial. There is little point getting key evidence excluded if the general public already has access to it. The point is to keep Jurors from hearing about excluded evidence that could seriously affect their decisions.
I am so sick and tired of cases taking this long in the court system. There are too many judges that are afraid to tell lawyers and prosecutors that they are no longer going to delay any proceeding. If you don't have the evidence that you need to prove why you need a delay in the case then you don't get the delay.
Death row and prisons inlude people who've been wrongfully convicted for various reasons. Court was not designed to be a 'slam dunk' process. It's important to make sure the right person is ultimately convicted -- not let the real murderer/s walk free and that the wrong person languishes for crimes they did not commit.
You want it to be prosecuted in the best way possible so the victims get true justice. And that takes time to build a case. Just as you build a house you design a plan Get the materials Start from.the ground up.
Videos of Kohberger's car (exact make and model) around the scene of the crime at the time (and leading up to it) coincide with his cellphone data (movement) That, along with the DNA, eyewitness identification matching Kohberger's appearance, internet queries, et. al are more than enough.
@Ferret-v8r Your summary does paint a convincing picture👍 I've always tried to see both sides of the evidence (how it could apply if guilty, as well as how it could apply if innocent), but reading your summary does make it hard to keep an open mind - especially as he is not giving a version of his side that can accommodate why the various evidence is there if innocent. He's not saying he drove someone there and dropped them off, or that he was there but someone else did it, or that he sold that sheath months prior etc. The fact that it has been so long and he still hasn't said these types of things is starting to sway my general attempts at staying unbiased. I've been following this case mainly because a lot of people misinterpret the data (mainly the Cell Tower pings putting him in the room as opposed the within x miles of that Cell Tower, and DNA [Nuclear] putting him in the room or meaning he touched the sheath as opposed to [Trace/Touch] DNA which means it could of been transferred there by someone unconnected to BK) so I've been keen to combat the simple view of the data a lot of people have. Just providing this info to add to the view of "his car" (a car matching the description of his car) being seen - Last I checked months ago, there were 51,000 White Hyundai Elantra's registered in Idaho, and over 100 White Hyundai Elantra's registered to park at that campus car park. As a British person, those are big numbers to me. I can't imagine 100 of the same car parked in the College near me. I don't even know if the College near me has 100 parking spaces... @CrissyBellon - And I've always felt that if he drove past there in the morning (and was innocent), then it could of been in relation to the fact that on social media /chat groups, there was a lot of talk about something happening there long before any Police were contacted.
You clearly didn't watch the entire hearing. I never understand why people will watch something not in its entirety and have the nerve to make an unsubstantiated claim on the matter.
From the UK here, I've followed this case since day 1, its truly horrific, but there's one thing that I have noticed many saying... how could he have stabbed so many repeatedly in such a short time without being tired etc. For anyone questioning this, look at UK crime, we don't have guns so knife crime is our main issue. Yesterday there was a 18 year old found guilty and sentenced called Axel Rudakubana, he walked into a children's Taylor swift themed dance class where in 12 mins he stabbed to death 3 Little girls, and seriously injured another 10 including adult dance teacher. The ferocity of this attack in such a short period is hard to comprehend. We have stabbings including mass stabbings, we have bleed kits dotted around our towns ready for the next stabbing, it's become our norm, but this case in particular is possible the worst we have ever had. The media have decided amongst themselves not to report on everything they saw in court, out of respect for the little girls. But what we do know is horrific enough, One little girl had 4 stab wounds, another had 85 and the other 122. Let that sink in. One of the girls who survived managed to get to the door outside but was dragged back in and stabbed 32 times. The other 9 injured were all stabbed multiple times, seriously and critically injured. Parents didn't recognise them. Now for anyone doubting that Bryan couldn't have stabbed all those people in the time he did and with the level of ferocity he did without being tired, look at this case I've just mentioned, look at all our serious mass stabbing cases, victims are stabbed tens if not hundreds of times, in really short periods. This is why you may hear UK people talking about knife crime, its brutality at its worst. When someone shoots they can be far away, they're not physically killing the person the gun does the work for them, with a knife I honestly believe it's the most horrific form of weapon to use. The person has to physically kill someone with it, and they repeatedly stab in such a short space of time. Bryan needs locking up for life, if anyone doubts he was capable of causing so much in a short period of time you need to google this case. If anyone googles Axel Rudakubana, be prepared 😢
One thing I would take issue with in your comment, and that is the reason the media is hardly covering it. It's not out of respect for the little girls, it's to conceal from the public who and why the perpetrator did this.
@midcoastprepper3495 actually I think u could say there are numerous reasons why. People who have spoken out who were present daily at the trial have said that the fine details of the case are that horrific and traumatic they don't want to repeat things. Out of respect for the families and the little girls but also for the children who have survived but will be traumatised for life. We have to think about the children who died and the injured kids, they may have siblings, cousins, friends...all of whom are going to be traumtised by what happened. They will also, quite rightly, not focus on the perpetrator due to feeding their desire for notoriety and the potential for copycat incidents occurring with other nutters wanting to do the same. So, we can believe that the sole reason is to hide things, to cover up stuff or we can be realistic and use our intellect to realise there is a much bigger picture when it comes to releasing information to the public. The publics right to know fine details isn't important when you think of those kids
Yes. People don’t listen to the fine details. People sleeping. Taking someone’s life so fast they don’t get a chance to scream or fight back. Look at OJ. Look up Richard Speck. Took multiple lives. In the night. People are in shock, or think if they comply they will live or they are caught off guard. Use your brains people! They were in separate rooms. Every thing now is a conspiracy to this generation. They always give support to the villains.
Just because someone is capable of something doesn't necessarily mean they did it. You are also capable of committing this crime, therefor you must be the killer, right?
His phone pinged his location at 4 am at the crime scene. His sin card was removed from his phone for 20 minutes and then he was pinged driving home. Pretty damning evidence putting him at the scene of the crime, during the crime, with no plausible explanation.
A 2013 ...Maybe white Elantra? BK had a 2015. Never a good video. The unmarked police car in the area was a small white car too! That's not getting out to the public much..wonder why?
I’m a lawyer. Was a criminal attorney but recently changed over to personal injury law. This is exactly why I switched. I still have regrets about the two years I spent in criminal law. I spent one year in defence and my conscience bothered me so I switched over to one year in prosecution. Prosecution is morally better but I couldn’t stand all the clearly guilty people being acquitted and how much of an uphill battle it was for the prosecution. So I left criminal law altogether

@@Valentin-ve6msanyone who has been following this case just wants the truth. And to guilt Bryan into being the only person to commit these murders is idiotic. The burden is on the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he did. And up until this point, it does look like he is being framed with the only evidence they have being a knife sheath with touch dna.
And that's all it takes for most people to draw the conclusion that, he did it. Could it be him? Sure. I just wish the evidence was a little more concrete. I would hate for the actual suspect to be running loose and an innocent man's life to be ruined. God bless the families

I think that's why he's kicking up again out of the clear blue sky .. because hes heard about LUIGI and all the ATTENTION and MONEY that the public has raised for him and that has pretty much defaced BRYANS case .. because nobody cares or wanna hear about it ANYMORE .. they are tired of it and just want JUSTICE for the families .. because his lawyers arguments have FINALLY hit wall 🧱 .. and there is nowhere else to go except to TRIAL .. and to be FRANK .. the real reason Bryan Kohberger is fighting this so hard is because he STILL CANNOT BELIEVE .. they got HIM .. peace ✌🏼

The justice system is working the way it is intended. Yes, if the guy is proven guilty than he is a monster, but our Constitution guarantees everyone to a fair trial. We are not a dictatorship without laws. Too many innocent people have been put behind bars due to sloppy proceedings, and the prosecutor has to carefully compile evidence against the defendant to make sure that the jury has all the info it needs to convict. It has to be done in a methodical way. The defendants lawyer is there to ensure that the evidence the prosecution has gathered was obtained legally and ethically. Why is this so hard to comprehend? Yes, it's a heinous crime, but seeking true justice for the victims means that the defendant is convicted beyond a reasonable doubt.

This would destroy the narrative of their video and the white Hyundai (which they have no proof it is BK's) I think this trial will go in BK's favor and the killer or killers are still out there.
I think you're looking at it wrong. Defense attorneys are more of a watchdog for the system. They just make sure the defendant gets a fair shot and that the case was investigated by the book. They're there to present the defendant statements and to question how the investigation was handled. All to make sure it's fair and accurate. I've spoken to several defense attorneys and the very large majority have said they know their clients are guilty they just want to make sure things are done right. If I or you were wrongfully accused of something we'd be the first looking to hire one. @@tonyr1950 yes of course you are correct in thinking that way. Hypothetically anybody who is innocent would be able to produce the knife he supposedly bought from Amazon that had been in the sheath, but until he has his day in court he is entitled to a presumption of innocence regardless of all the media speculation about cars and frat boys and cell phones etc. Oh and no alibi... All of these things tend to make him appear to be the only possible killer. LE has done some strange things though, like tearing down the house and burying it. It would be remiss of AT his public defender not to challenge their case against her client. WHY didn't they or haven't they had the unknown male DNA subjected to the same tests as that on the sheath was. Why didn't the two roommates call 911 immediately and wait until midday Saturday and then have a friend call it in? DM changed her testimony for instance about whether she really saw the killer or dreamt it. BF had a totally different story claiming to have seen a naked or almost naked man leaving. THIS is why BK has a public defender. It is a tough job but someone has to do it. @griffin2263 - or, you presumptious piece ofshit, a) no matter how much of a stretch it is, there's always a chance physical evidence could've made it's way onto a scene by circumstance and b) they might have a valid argument in this evidence being obtained illegally, hence we might be setting a dangerous precedent where the government is allowed to enable itself to expand its authority more and more in the name of revenge and "fighting crime" and such drivel. Some cases are bigger in their ramifications than just the immediate concern of petty revenge.
Look into the case outside of mainstream media and what they are feeding you. You’re going to be surprised at what you find. He’s innocent, they manufactured the evidence against him.
I still don’t believe those other roommates that lived, called a friend over BEFORE police, and waited nearly 24 hours to call the cops knew absolutely nothing about the murder. I don’t think the detectives or prosecutors are even close to getting this right. But something about Bryan Kohlberger feels like this is just a game to him. This whole case is just plain weird and seems more like a joke than serious which is a shame
No, it's not. I definitely understand why young college kids who grew up in small rural towns, never traveled, never experienced any trauma, exhausted, likely drunk or high, see something they can't process or deal with, go into shock and their brains are just stuck. Very few people will see what they did. People want to predict what they 'should' have done, but there is no predicting how anyone would act in a situation like that.
Just curious, how can someone commit a horrify crime yet when leaving the crime scene without no blood trail after him or no DNA anywhere in his position and the only find the gloves the second time searching how do you missed that?
Agree!!!! You are 100% correct. And, that 2nd or 3rd generation touch DNA on the sheath is not an exact match, and reportedly did not even show up on the first test, so it likely came in from an outside source (i.e., bank, grocery store, handshake). It was stated in a previous court hearing there was no evidence found in Kohberger's car, office, apartment or storage space, and when police pulled over him and his dad, the car was filthy and appeared it had not been washed for many weeks and the car reportedly revealed no recent cleaning products. An innocent man's life is hinging, and these four victims are being done a disservice due to sloppy and hasty police work.
Was there ever any explanation that makes sense given as to why the other roommates waited 8 hours to call 911? I have heard that they were getting rid of drugs before they called

@@m.mcc.9893 Definitely. I personally have no experience with law or the field, but my aunt is a lawyer and I've asked her about this before. @JakeKoenig They do have his license plate going towards the crime scene and leaving the crime scene, and when he realized he forgot the sheave of the knife,he went back and his license plate was spotted on camera again and going back to his home again and that's one of the big reasons how police caught him.

I’m not an attorney so this is my opinion. The prosecution used a “public” database to conduct a genealogical DNA tree. This method has been used in several cases around the country. If the judge throws this out, wouldn’t that open the door on other cases to be potentially thrown out?

These wereNOT Innocent little Girls who got murdered; Their house was known as the drug house in the neighborhood, their other roommates didn’t call police for hours and hours after they were dead because they were cleaning the house and getting rid of all the drugs that were in the house so they wouldn’t go to prison! And those bumbling cops in Idaho have no idea how to investigates crime and they effed it all up this dude‘s gonna get off…..

What is the court doing by not allowing the parents in the courtroom? Every court hearing should be open to the public . Sounds like the judge is a pushover with no backbone OR he/she is corrupt.
everyone misses the part where the defense wants the evidence and trial in the public - the prosecution didn't even want to use the evidence at first, so they didn't disclose it to the defense, but they still told the public about it, so he basically gets convicted by public opinion without any trial at all.
I'm not smiling about any of this. Defense attorneys have a responsibility to put the burden of proof on prosecutors, but to prohibit any evidence without legal basis is an obstruction of justice, which the judge needs to rule against. There's more than enough circumstantial evidence that points to the suspect, as well as his own statements. What's frightening is that he was a PhD criminal justice candidate. He used his expertise to cover up his crime and nearly did, if not for the gia. He clearly gave in to his sick, psychopathic, homocidal mind, rather than get help for his murderous fantasies and desires. I'll be the first to assert a person's innocence until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. But in this case, the suspect has indicted himself with his own words and actions. I can't even say his name he's that revolting. It's not to disparage those who bear the same name. The address eerily coincides with month and year of this horrific crime.
Agreed on this... the Judge needs to rule against these stall tactics. What's next, the DNA evidence is 'too old now' to test? People have the right to a speedy trial, but so should victims. Criminal offenders should not be allowed to drag out proceedings ad infinitum. As you noted, the suspect has indicted himself in many ways and there is more than enough DIRECT evidence (demonstrative, documentary -- extending beyond circumstantial).
I am going to see what comes to light at the trial. There is a lot more going on around that house that may have led to the deaths of the 4. So far the evidence against Brian is not really beyond a doubt once the defense picks all the holes apart. The phone pings etc may not be what the prosecution is painting them as, The car id is also far from solid. Either he did it or he was set up and that could include law enforcement and legal system people. It looks like there are others with strong motive to kill two of the girls as revenge for drug crime involved parents testifying against fairly high level drug distributors. I will wait and see what happens in court. I do hope that whoever did this is convicted and imprisoned or deleted.
To think this man went as far as getting an advanced degree in criminology to see if he could get away with killing 4 young people. This is a whole separate category of malevolence.
Maybe, maybe not. But, do know that Bryan Kohlberger has set the new standard of what someone is capable of, especially at such a young age. Great beyond his years.
You can't tell me not one of these students didn't put up a fight when being stabbed, did he Bryan have any marks, in his body from any of them defending themselves, something just isn't right with this whole thing, how the other students didn't hear nothing and so on... something stinks 😷!!
@@donnabultema2602 I think that at least one of them put up a fight. The problem is that LE only took him into custody weeks after the crime so any marks could have disappeared by then. DM described the person she saw as being all in black with a full mask and only his eyes and eyebrows visible. It is possible that even if they fought back there would be no transfer of his DNA on any of them. This is why the DNA on the knife sheath is so critical to the case but it is also important that the other male DNA be identified so that it can be eliminated. The glove outside and the banister body fluid with a palm print are where the other unidentified DNA comes from.
Long story short, the cops say whatever sounds great but, in reality, have not that great evidence by law and common sense. You have to actually prove it, not just say you have evidence of that , you don't back it up with solid evidence. So far , that's what is happening. Wierd, odd case. Nothing makes sense. Nothing is explained to make sense. Motive has zero evidence. They just saying they have, yet to prove it. @Ivanblock757

It’s hard to believe how stupid a lot of these comments are . One of the dumbest about Bryan Kohberger “stalling “ his trial . This is a death penalty case , the defense & prosecution have the right to present as many motions they feel are necessary . So say he’s stalling as much as you want .There will always be someone to tell you how dumb you are . Also Kaylee’s parents didn’t spend any of their own money to go anywhere . They’ve had 2 go fund me pages totaling approximately one hundred dollars so they could attend the trial .
Yes the gonclaves had a go fund me they were t happy with the first amount they wanted more....... they were disruptive during hearings too idk its all not adding up
They don’t want to show the victims as human beings just statistics. Keep the jury from forming an emotional bond to these young people. That decision stinks.
Its weird. Ive been watching this from the beginning. In my view, there has been an overwhelming opinion that the police investigating this case are corrupt and that Bryan kohlberger was innocent.
I don't know myself but, there is a lot of questionable, sketchy stuff going down and there seem to be others with a strong revenge motive to kill 2 of the girls. Jus ask the law enforcement along the drug smuggling/human trafficking route how vicious the cartels are.
They are sealing and keeping hearings closed to protect a jury but they already changed venues…this is ridiculous and mean to do to the victims families, let it all be open, let these people heal!

Not so fast, it was most likely the ones who were actually at the house
And he drove past the house hours later, probably wondering why police weren't there yet since he knew there was an eyewitness.
@Ferret-v8r Your summary does paint a convincing picture👍
I've always tried to see both sides of the evidence (how it could apply if guilty, as well as how it could apply if innocent), but reading your summary does make it hard to keep an open mind - especially as he is not giving a version of his side that can accommodate why the various evidence is there if innocent.
Just providing this info to add to the view of "his car" (a car matching the description of his car) being seen -

@CrissyBellon - And I've always felt that if he drove past there in the morning (and was innocent), then it could of been in relation to the fact that on social media /chat groups, there was a lot of talk about something happening there long before any Police were contacted.

Justice for the Idaho four 😢⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️
Stop dragging this out it’s torture for their families
Mexico butchers and kills horses with knives for the meat market. Sick and brutal.

They actually don't. The roommates' statements were changed prior to the report being given to the court. They have now determined that the crime may have started at 4:17 after Murphy starts barking. This would destroy the narrative of their video and the white Hyundai (which they have no proof it is BK's)
I think this trial will go in BK's favor and the killer or killers are still out there.

I ultimately don’t get how anybody can discredit genetic genealogy. They developed a theory and tested it legally.
They’re desperate. It is a highly accurate, highly effective and widely used means of narrowing it down. @@tonyr1950 yes of course you are correct in thinking that way. All of these things tend to make him appear to be the only possible killer. LE has done some strange things though, like tearing down the house and burying it. Why didn't the two roommates call 911 immediately and wait until midday Saturday and then have a friend call it in? DM changed her testimony for instance about whether she really saw the killer or dreamt it. BF had a totally different story claiming to have seen a naked or almost naked man leaving.

You make the arguments available to you. That's what lawyers are trained and paid to do.
What the defense is asking for is the process of how they got the DNA not the result of the DNA but the process used because it's touch ancestral DNA. They are not even going to use that in the case the prosecution is not going to use it.
They are not going to enter that into evidence against the defendant because it's bogus
And again the defense is asking for how they got it in the scientific process of how they obtained it. It is completely reasonable for them to ask for that. One more thing is that he did not plead not guilty
When it came time for him to plead he was sitting down so he's not pleading guilty or not guilty
That's not how evidence works, champ. You can't prove a negative. It's also not how due process works. The PROSECUTION needs DNA evidence that Bryan DID commit the crimes. The defense doesn't need DNA evidence to prove he DIDN'T, because that's not possible. Derp.

@@les0101s kohberger is getting screwed in this; what they say is evidence is so wrong. They're screwing with his life for no reason
Yes the gonclaves had a go fund me they were t happy with the first amount they wanted more....... they were disruptive during hearings too idk its all not adding up
Not to mention all the arrests and associations the parents have in their background to known drug runners.
Yes, in fact all of the victims have family members who have had problems with drugs.@@orlandoPerozzi

@@InLieuTube The defense made this claim a long time ago. My mom's basement? 🤣😂🙃🤪🤯 We never had a basement. Whatever
They are sealing and keeping hearings closed to protect a jury but they already changed venues…this is ridiculous and mean to do to the victims families, let it all be open, let these people heal!
They erase 1122 to ``Heal``!
If all evidence is there proving that he was the murderer, I don’t care how they got the evidence……. Murder is already illegal. 🤷🏻♂️ and they proved that he was the one to do it.
So you’d be fine with the police torturing him to get a confession or using false information to get a search warrant, etc?
They have proved nothing as of yet.
@@glasshalffull2930 watch the case and you’ll see why he’s guilty……. Technology and science does not lie
@@tyajjjjjjjjy You didn’t answer my question.
Clickbait. No new twist. Just new motions...which happens in EVERY trial. Wonder why ppl dont trust the media?
It feels like the real killer is at home watching the news chewing popcorn 😢
How is it that the criminal is always played out as being the victim?
Because it's easier for humans to feel empathy for someone that is right in front of them.
He is loving every minute of this. What a psychopath.
WHY DOES THE PROSECUTION NOT WANT THIS TO BE PUBLIC? So bizarre. I believe he is guilty and I believe the public has a right to see the trial.
They don’t want there to be bias with the jury and them be able to appeal if he’s found guilty
Comments like this is exactly why justice cases are private. The uneducated and ignorant knows more than those who studied and are educated.
@@kevindurant1653 the educated and profesionals often commit serious mistakes! take the David Reimer Gender Reassignment case for example....a psychologist made a mistake that ended with 2 persons dead and a family shattered
Really, how many times did Kay & Larry fly back & forth from Louisiana to Idaho for the murderers of their grandchildren- & they never complained about the Justice System of Idaho - one of the best - or have be it where Rexburg is. Those attys were awesome!!! . Nailing the 2 murderers. Hats off to Them!! & East Idaho News 😊
This is why people hate lawyers
i hope justice prevails! ppl dont need a psycho on the streets

Speaks volumes that you have to fight HOW evidence against him was found, not why they were found to begin with. He's guilty as sin. Dude studied and did his homework to commit a perfect crime, he got close to it, we can't deny that. I hope prosecution has final card to play at his trial.
That's your perception based on what you have learned about the case and the goings on in the area. You may be mistaken.
if bk lost the sheath underneath mm he went out of the house with a huge knife in his hand. he would have recognized he has forgotten something within a few minutes. so he passed dm with a huge knife in his hand and all dm saw were bushy eyebrows. why was the front door wide open at 8 am since we’ve been told he left through the glass sliding door. who left in such a hurry if it wasn’t bk? why did they not call the cops earlier then? to whom do these other 3 male dna samples belong? this is one of the biggest red flags! why is there so much terrifying sound on the ll footage which might imply a very different timeline? why would someone study criminology with an emphasis on data forensics and come to the conclusion that bringing the phone and car to the crime scene is a smart idea? why did dm and bf summoned hj over to help opening xk door instead of going upstairs and ask kg and mm for help? why did the wounds not match? why is 2 am a dark hour? the running people seen on the bandfield footage are involved imo. bk idk if he was there at all but FOR SURE IF HE DID IT HE DIDNT DO IT ALONE
why did js drive to his parents cabin in the middle of the night? why were people cleared that fast especially those mentioned on reddit? why was the other bk really shot- where are these roomies being threatened? there are too many coincidences to just ignore them.
The door was open because there was an OVERPOWERING stench of blood in the house. There is no way the two roommates did not notice.
You need to seriously look at your law system if you throw out your main evidence linking him to the killings .
Lawyers: it should be illegal to investigate our client using tools that have been used tens of thousands of times to show both innocence and guilt with an extremely high degree of accuracy.
