Ysayle is way too low on this list, especially when you're playing through for the first time and don't know the truth about the origin and significance of the Echo. Becoming separated from Minfilia, in many ways our mentor concerning this strange blessing-and-curse only to meet another woman who shares our gift...and then lose them both... There's this haunting sense of being alone in the world (sure there's Krile, but we don't know her as well at that point) and this fear that the Echo may well be a death sentence that turns every possessor into a sacrificial lamb. Add to that the fact that Ysayle A. Actively accompanies us on our journey B. Is possessed of her own explicit convictions regarding the Dragonsong War, the Echo, and her place in society and C. Has a character arc about how her sense of self-identity is caught up in a woman long dead and the loss of her character is just. Such a major blow.
Huh...never thought of our WOL character's relationship with the Echo quite like that. But you have a very valid point. Ysayle's passing did hit hard. It was one of those moments in the game where you sit at your keyboard going "I'm not crying! It's raining...in my house!"
Y'alls voice acting is charming, channel is underrated.
Aww thank you! I'll make sure Rino and Gyo see this. That's so sweet.
the fact that the scions + noraxia died off screen and THEN they had us carry the damn corpses around... that tonal shift totally messed me up
I've been playing since Heavensward. That moment was the first time I realized this game is going to make you feel the feels. It never stopped. D:

Elidibus is the main antagonist tho, and hes lacking on this list, imo.
Gone but not forgotten 😢😢
No love for Moenbryda?! For shame guys!
That one hit hard too.
Ysayle should be #1.
