Nice! Didn't even know cartographers were still a thing
Not only has the art of cartography disappeared, but I believe the younger generations have lost touch with direction and have no idea how to read a map or seen an atlas. I still use maps to this day, as much as I did when I was a kid with my dad on road trips. Sure, I use GPS to help me find faster routes when traffic is bad, but I love love love maps! I miss you guys!!
I am a 15 year old and I draw maps!
Some of them are fictional and fun, but I also have mapped my creek and local river system without a guide, just by walking it. I can say that not everyone in our generation has forgot about cartography

While manual draftsmanship has virtually disappeared, the high-level concepts of drafting such data presentation, clarity, standardization, composition & relationship of map elements persist and are fundamental to cartography.
