About time you got to Morgan She just might be the best American born female singer alive right now. The beauty of her is her versatility and the fact she doesn't go out of her way to show off, she sings the song for what it is. I sure hope you go down this rabbit hole and while I love PMJ, I hope you go into some over her stuff from the highly produced stuff like Sledgehammer to the sitting around the living room with her husband playing guitar, she has some great collabs also. Check out her and Marc Broussard. Sure am glad that one of my favorite reactors has found one of my favorite singers, we owe, is it Mark, whomever suggested this, we owe you our thanks.
Morgan is one of the finest singers on planet earth, and her work with PMJ is epic. IMO she is the best of the collaborators that PMJ uses. You really need to hear her version of Take me to Church. Holy crap, it is phenomenal.
Give me a break, wingnut, Morgan's TH-cam video views counts are dismal compared to Haley Reinhart's TH-cam video view counts and not to mention that Haley started performing with PMJ after Morgan. Moreover, when Morgan toured with PMJ, all they played were tiny venues and cheap dives. However, after Haley arrived on the scene and quickly recorded several music videos with PMJ that all went viral, all of a sudden PMJ found themselves filling coliseums and arenas because everyone wanted to go see Haley Reinhart perform. That never happened when Morgan was performing with PMJ, but it did when Haley Reinhart was performing with PMJ. As Haley not only put PMJ on the map, but she is by far the best vocalist ever to have performed with PMJ. As there is no one that comes close to matching Haley Reinhart's view counts. As Morgan James doesn't even come close to Haley Reinhart even though she was performing with PMJ before Haley ever arrived. By the way, Haley also did "Take Me To Church" with Scott on piano, and Haley's version blew Morgan's version out the water.

Morgan James is a graduate of juilliard who trained Opera, she went back to take extra training is belting so you can branch out into different genres. Morgan is multi genre talented, musical theater she has done Broadway, pop,jazz but her main wheelhouse is soul. She performed ion Broadway win the play Motown because of soulfulness voice
Morgan James is incredible add in PMJ and you get an instant classic. Btw PMJ is playing in Toronto (Massey Hall) on Dec 16. But only a handful of tickets left at $200 each 🤑

Morgan has a live performance of the entire Beatles White Album in one sitting. Also look for the PMJ tour schedule. Well worth a day long drive. 6-8 singers one after another banging out the hits in an unfiltered pure straight up sound. We got so enthralled we nearly cheered them offstage. I know they kept saying, I can’t hear the monitor that im standing right in front of. Its truly enthralling, we kept running into people after the show and nearly everyone couldn’t even sleep til sunrise. Please go.

The high note is done in mixed voice (apparently), just for artistic purpose. She have done higher notes in head voice with ease, since she is a trained lyric singer. Love Morgan James. She has a beautifull live cover of the whole White Album (by The Beatles) ❤
Morgan James is a great singer and PMJ is always great. Some of my other favorite covers she's done with them, Maps (vintage 1970's soul Maroon 5 cover), Who wants to Live Forever (West side story style cover of Queen), and Take me to church (Hozier Cover). One of my other fav PMJ covers is Style (1959 grease style cover of Taylor Swift) sung by Annie Goodchild & Von Smith. I've never heard the original of that one, but it doesn't really matter because they sing it so well that this version of the song stands on it's own. Annie's voice is amazing, and Von ain't bad either. Of course no PMJ cover list would be complete without Haley Reinhardt's version of Creep. That one's amazing. Next to Pau's version, that is my second favorite Creep cover.

great reaction ashlena. morgan james is an amazing powefull singer and performer and fits perfectly with the postmodern jukebox (aka. pmj) family. however, this performance takes her to another level and is her best one... imho. the string arrangement is also superb. the way the guy on the cello plucks it like a guitar after her first run is super cool (never seen that before). as good as this is though it's not their absolute best, for that i highly recommend "creep" with haley reinhart. it is a masterpiece and maybe one the best covers ever done of any song. 😎
