    This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

    I did this last winter and everything went fine. I am now re-doing this method, I thought the felt loosened from the humidity of this summer, turns out I didn’t staple the rest of one side after doing the pockets 😢. Pay attention to what you’re doing 😂. Great video!

    Well I followed your setup and everything went great. I like how the pockets went. My jibe turned out just like you instructed me to do.
    Thank You for your knowledge and tips.

    I thought this video series was well done. I haven't seen any negative reviews from those in the know, so I assume these guys do it right. I am preparing to re-felt the bed and replace the cushions and re-felt the rails on an American Heritage table myself. This video proved to be exceptionally useful for this endeavor. Thank so much sharing your trade!

      No these guys have no idea how to level a table. Way wrong. A carpenters level is useless fo a pool table lmfao

    Thank you, this will help when I redo my table. I don't know what cloth you used but I think I will put more of a stretch when I do mine. Some of the other videos show much more of a stretch as the cloth will relax over time.

    I was watching other people teach this and was starting to come up with a better way... (middles first) You are doing it that way.

    This is great info - I moved my table from the living room to the basement, and I needed this info! Thanks for the nice video to help me!

    I understand you staple the center wedges to keep them in place, but what did you do with the wedges on the outside perimeter? Did you cut the head of the wedge and staple? They were seen right before you added putty and then the next seen you couldn't see the outside wedges at all. Please explain. Also, thanks for creating this video. You did an excellent job.

    This video was very useful...although I tried twice to do the rails from the edges and work toward the middle like he did...never seemed to work out. I probably broke some cardinal rule by starting from the middle and working towards the ends...but it worked nicely for me. Maybe the cloth he used stretched better than mine.

    to stretch felt over a slate top you should have weights clamped to the felt to apply even stretching to each side of the felt. if you don't have even stretching then the felt can play differently on one side or the other.

    Looks to be too close to the window, recommended 5’ on all sides but not always practical.

    Im not knocking the video but is it normal to put staples into the sides of the pocket like that? Wouldn't you be able to see the staples?

    • @dev_vg
      @dev_vg 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not likely, felt would have to be replaced again by then which you could then make sure all is level again. Standard shimming goes a long way

    Great video, thank you ! One question..what size staples would you recommend using with a standard Arrow T50 hand stapler.

    • @Bart_Depestele
      @Bart_Depestele 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      inox 8 mm, width will depend on your Arrow T50

    • @ianlarue4985

      Wood under slate if you don't have wood like my table you have to glue under rails only 4 inches out

    • @mc824d4j

      I´m not sure if you know but there is wood under the slate. That´s where the staples go. It´s a black wood, watch it closely.

    putty cracks the slate when you go to move them and is a wast of time and money and isn't a headache for me or anyone that walks up to the tqbel in the future

    • @crisgould5827
      @crisgould5827 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Durham Rock Hard putty does not crack slate. Also, when moving a 3 pc slated billiard table, the table needs to be disassembled. Trying to move a table assembled will generally break the slate or the table. Not advised.

      Kyle Kowatch omg Kyle!!!! I do 3rd party moving and when these clowns use this putty shit. Trying to get to those screws is a fuckin pain the in the fuckin ass!!!! They have no idea how much it sucks when they table needs to get disassembled!! Bees wax is the best way to go!! Every time!!!! Fuck that putty, Christ!!!!

    • @crisgould5827

      Your comments are referring to tables that require putty over the slate screws. Not all tables require this making a disassembly much easier. All tables used i

      Sorry, my comment got cut off.
      The table used in this video, does not require any putty to be used over the slate screws.
      You are correct that having to dig out putty spread over screws is a pain. I would not purchase a table that requires this procedure.

      I am about to setup an Olhausen that was previously installed using putty. It has the slate screws that need to be filled in. Would you recommend putty or beeswax for this install? Also, there is still some putty residue/buildup from the previous install. What is the best way to remove the old putty? Thanks for the video series, it is very helpful.

    I have been working on tables for over 20 years and he is just an installer not a mechanic. installing tables becomes an art after time you learn all the quirks that tables have. and these box tables are crap. I think the number one in manufactering quality table being sold in the states is Olhausen. I have never had a single issue with their tables. Their starter table to their most expensive all play the same .

      While i appreciate you opinion, unless you have worked on other brands of tables, it is unfair to put any single "brand" above all others. There are many brands of tables that are excellent tables.
      Not sure what you mean by "Box Table"? is this because it ships in a box?
      I would ask you to assemble a Legacy billiard table and then send a comment regarding the assembly and playability before you knock it.

    Very unprofessional installation. I simply cannot believe Legacy is promoting this video.
    I have installed several Legacy tables. Chinese built tables are costly to install. That's why most installers charge at least $100 extra.
