Vi's death was probably a wake-up call for both Vander and Silco. They basically broke the promise to their old friend to make the dream of Zaun come true, since their falling apart indirectly led to a world where their friend's daughter died. That's my interpretation of how they reconciled.
@@insomniaccity not to mention this is a version of the world where heimerdinger inherited memories from the future and used them to shape piltover and zaun and avoid remaking the city the same way it was.

That’s the most painful thing about what could’ve been scenarios, at least, with the rigid or looping timeline you have the reassurance that nothing else could’ve been done, but with this, you see everything that could’ve worked out, you see the solutions, you see the perfect Utopia you were looking for. But you come to the painful realization that this is not the world you’re supposed to be a part of, this isn’t what happened with your world, and your constantly reminded about it, which is exactly why you can’t be a part of that utopia, because it’s not what made you, it’s not where the people you love are, and staying there will only cause more harm than good, so you have to part with it regardless of how you feel about it
It's fucked that the foundation of a prosperous and unified Zaun & Piltover is built upon the untimely death of Vi as a child. I believe the insinuation is that her death is the catalyst for Vander & Silco burying the hatchet because it reminded them of their promise to the sisters' mother to make the city a better place for the kids. Vi's death was a wake up call to stop letting that dream of a better tomorrow be ruined all because of some petty animosity between the two most influential people in Zaun.
It probably also changed things in Piltover. Instead of "This is a terrorist attack! Hunt these criminals down! Break every door you must in the Undercity!", here it is "Oups. It was just a bunch of desperate children and we accidentally murdered one in a horrible way. Here, let us exile the inventor of this forbidden dangerous research and then extend an olive branch in the form of more togetherness and prosperity for the Undercity."
Ekko and Powder dance scene was such a work of art and absolute Cinema I actually started Crying .By the way a show or movie has never made me cry before.

Yeah, like could SHE invent Hextech? She definitely is bright enough for it; even though there would be no Jayce and Viktor to help in this timeline. I am hoping she chooses to not invent it, or this could all lead to the arcane end of the world for her version of Piltover...
The most unexpected thing, which is easy to miss, that Jayce was in the same word as Ekko, but several years later (Hemerdinger was there 3 years before Ekko).
Probably not. I mean it IS possible that Powder invent Hextech even without Jayce and Viktor. Cause in this timeline, after the explosion in episode 1, Jayce was definitely expelled from Piltover, and is either in exile far away... or commited not continuing his journey. And Viktor is dying from his illness with no Shimmer and no hextech to cure him. And even in the slight possibility Powder does pursue hextech (I really hope her closing the drawer meant this is part of a past she doesn't intend to dwell on!) and it leads to the arcane end of the world for piltover... then who is that man holding the hammer on top of the tower? Heck who would even invent said hammer if not Jayce?
The fact that 2 big changes probably occurred in this world is crazy Silco probably found Vander's note in the mines Vi died during the robbery which caused Jayce to loose all support and attempt suicide without Viktor's intervention to save him.

One little thing here made me very happy: Jayces Hammer beeing very heavy all of a sudden! Back in season 1 It felt weird to me how, in some scenes, he wielded his hammer with such ease and my rationalisation at the time was that he is just that strong (and he is very strong but in this case I would have excpected it to be heavy even for him) And now my guess was that the hammer absorbed something in the atmosphere which made it denser but the answer was simpler! It was simply the hextech itself which made the hammer lighter and for some it was obvious the moment they saw how the hammer glitched out when Jayce tried to pick it up for me I had the other idea come to me first. It shows how much the creators of the show think about that stuff (as if we didn't already had enough examples lol) that they even thought about it in season 1 and the payoff was this episode... ehh a little payoff atleast!
One brilliant thing they did here, we see what happens when Jace comes back first, then see what happened when he was away. Why? because he was sent to the future!
