You got to love Lon MIlo Duquette!
His humor and the way he "speaks" in his books translates wonderfully in person.
A long while ago, I was invited to a private discussion with Lon DuQuette discussing his books and Aleister Crowley..
I was left with a memorable impression of Mr.Duquette and grateful to have had that opportunity to meet him.
Glad I stumbled across this video discussion. 🌹🤍🕯✨

Love this. It is rare to find such intelligent discussion of Crowley.

Nice to see more videos about Crowley that aren't about gossip and complete falsities. So very relieving, actually.

53:52 Lon's explanation of the Aeons is brilliant: Aeon of Isis, Aeon of Osiris, and then Aeon of Horus.. Also, the symbol of Spirit at the top of the pentagram to symbolize the Aeon of Horus is great as well.

I couldn't agree more. He covers this very well in his book regarding the Thoth Tarot. I remember reading that for the first time eons ago now, and being just absolutely blown away by his ability to express those concepts in such a visceral and relatable way. He truly a master and I am always thrilled to find something new from him, book, interview or video work. I would love to meet him.

The Chicken Qabalah is a core tome in any mystically orientated bookshelf. I couldn't believe what a work of genius that book is. I'm not inspired by Crowley, but I love Lon Milo so much. In time, his works will rank with the works of AC, no doubt about it.

Yeah imo Crowley was not magical at all. He definitely was evil. Not in a good way. In a self centered, non magick way.

I was personally 15 when I found it but I have been deeply involved ever since. It is quite an amazing perspective to be aware of at such an early age. How lucky we are to have had so long with such deeply complex material. Still, I know I've just barely scratched the surface.

I could hardly wait for the comments section to be activated. The end of Mr Lon's talk is especially captivating, as it perfectly illustrates my relationship with a man whose silence is of an ineffable quality, so sacred and profound, to me, that over two decades of seldom though fierce arrow-throwing I could not disturb or weaken it to a point of joining me in the dark fray. Needless to say I am, or was, an 'Other Brother' though a woman, the wild and active one. Sometimes his passivity drove me to wildness...until I learned to understand it, treasure it, be it more myself.
Thank you so much (from a fellow Canadian in California) for helping me and us mythologize rather than pathologize. I will order your classic. My aappreciation also to the host (I don't see his name) for quiet, pertinent inquiry. It was appropriate that Lon Milo do the talking.
And here is something especially for him, with a wink. th-cam.com/video/w1AvK0DiASY/w-d-xo.html

Hi, I'm Giulia Eone, I wrote a book called "The Return of Aleister Crowley". I wrote the book out of a duty to testify about Reincarnation where I declare that in my previous life I was the British occult magician Aleister Crowley. I was interviewed by Desvelado Team on TH-cam. I'm not asking anyone to believe me, but if I've come this far it's because I have objective proof of what I declare!

If we compare Crowley to pop culture, he is like Madonna and Lady Gaga whom people viewed as weird and would go as far as labelling them as Satanic. As a kid, I was sent to a Catholic school, and I remember one time when one of my teachers told us that Madonna is the "whore of Babylon" and the "new Jezebel". Looking back, I find these labels as hilarious and stupid. Lady Gaga came to the scene when people in my town were crazy about the end of the world thing. Basically, these folks just used weirdness and shock factor to have their material known to the public and some people went too far in judging them.
