  • This project is Part I of Auburn's triumphs during the Iron Bowl from 1982-2017. This segment covers Auburn's victories under Coach Pat Dye. This is a non-profit video and I hold no copy-rights to the content of this video. I produced this project for the Auburn Family and other college football fans.
From 1982-1989, only Miami and Nebraska had a higher win percentage in the country than the Auburn Tigers.

I was in Middle School through High School from 1982 to 1988, during Iron Bowl weekend we always went to Mississippi for Thanksgiving. We always planned our return home based on whether Auburn won or lost LOL. Great memories for sure

Excellent video...under Dye and Wayne Hall as DC, AU always had an excellent defense...the '88 defense was particularly incredible. Across the line, Tracy Rocker, Nate Hill, Benji Roland, Ron Stallworth, Aundray Bruce with Robert "Pig" Goff in rotation.

Pistachio my dad always told me that Legion Field’s turf back then was like concrete. Wouldn’t be surprised if he did.

As a Bama fan, I was VERY grateful for the 1989 loss to you guys in the Iron Bowl. Why? Because it signaled the end of the Billy Curry era. I'm still thankful for that, even if it meant losing the game ;-)
