I’m thinking the snow man kaito wants to comfort Len who lies to his dying mother to keep her happy but his lies are slowly eating him up from the inside

its pretty much just what it says: a story of a living snowman and a boy whos desperate because he believes his mother is is going to "vanish" because of him lying about things going better then they actually are for him
in the end, the boy manages to at least show to his mother that he does in fact at least have friends, begging for her to not leave.
she then hugs him, and then we get to see the ""last lie"": she swears to him that she's not leaving.
then it ends with the snowman melting, aknowledging his job of watching over the two as done, and that the boy will be able to overcome the inevitable passing of his mother

Len is a teenager who made a snowman (KAITO) and he comes to life, so Len vents to him saying that he had lied to his mother and she is about to d1e+
then KAITO takes care of Len like a father, until Len's mother d1es and spring comes, then KAITO melts.
