I just wondered a minute ago if someone had put all Keen soundtracks into a single video for me to listen while I work. One youtube search later and lo! My wish was fulfilled. Thank you for this!
I've been playing these games since I was 8 years old, and just NOW found out about this mod trilogy (after some tears about how bad the gbc game was years ago). Thanks for the heads up!
It's been so long that not much seems familiar, and I never did play all the episodes... but... 0:51. Yeah, almost laughed out loud. That was familiar indeed.
also please dont metal with me was awesome to just hear looping. i remember it well we had 2 computers and one was shit it was my sisters. so i ran wolfenstein on there with pc speaker having the other run dont metal with me :D and it felt really fitting. as a kid i didnt understand keen and wolfenstein where made by the same guys.
That's very interesting, I had never heard that! Most websites that have the Keen soundtracks available for download associate "I Scream" with Keen 5... I think because it was found in that game's data files. But I have always thought that some of these unused tracks would fit with the mood of Keen Dreams :)
@@ElliottRidgway Undoubtful that 1-2 was planned for Keen Dreams, like Eat Your Veggies. It was for the Keen Dreams title music, but was ended up being used in Keen 4. I Scream is doubtful for me: Keen 5 or Keen Dreams? I asked in PCKF and somebody said it was for Keen 5, so maybe you and that somebody have right after all if I'm not wrong (yet). :D
And now these 2 tracks in the beginning are in doom eternal.... And Dopefish!.... Edit (2021): Now commander keen is a skin for doom eternal lol, and he looks awesome...
@@ElliottRidgway Sorry for replying much later, but that track was not in any game data files. It was probably planned for Keen Dreams as it was planned to have musics as well like for example Eat Your Veggies (Keen Dreams title music.)

Seeing the reveal of the mobile game is incredibly painful to my childhood memories. Hopefully this will clear my mind of that!
Exactly the same reason i'm here :'(
I also drowned out my sorrows by listening to this soundtrack today
@@ElliottRidgway it's soothing, thank you for this compilation :D
excuse me but the what now
Same.
Bobby Prince is a genius

No problem! If we never get an official Universe Is Toast, I found the mod trilogy to be a nice substitute :)
Jazz Me is definitely not unused - I remember that song well!
These games will always be timeless for me.
Yup
1:39 ;D

25:40 Don't mind me, I'm just here for Spiro from Doom Eternal
0:51 Was originally planned for the title music of Keen Dreams.

Gracias por este recuerdito de la tierna infancia!!!! Me encantó!!!!
Thanks for posting. It must have been a whole lot of work!
It takes me to moments of happyness!!!!!
5:10 was a major rush of nostalgia!
36:33 Are you sure 'I Scream' is a Keen 5 tune? Somebody told it was planned for Keen Dreams ending. (?)

34:21 Unused Keen 5 music that was probably (?) planned for level 14, the missing BWB megarocket level. 😀
That's interesting! I didn't know that. Is this confirmed by any of the original developers?
@@ElliottRidgway It was not confirmed by the developers, but by Tom Hall. It didn't fit any level due to not having enough level in the game.

7:01 what? I've never heard that track before. Is it an unused one or what?
Unused, yeah. I think it was found in the game's data files.

Isn't "Too Hot to Handle" also from/in Catacombs 3D?
Yes I believe so
Twerking to this
Some might ask where is he now?
*Commander Keen skull and helmet on Doom Slayer's bookshelf*
considering the lore states that they were related, i think that's very morbid.
Weirdly enough, this game is in the same continuity as the Doom games XD.
:)
I rmb the music being bad but this is not bad
