You can buck off raptors immediately by putting them to a rock or tree and they fall off and you can hit them
Why knock'em off on a rock when you can put them in time out and stick them *inside* the rock at specific angle? 😂

When ur playing as a carnivore, never underestimate the readiness in a beipi to swim at you when ur trying to escape through the water and try to do a bit of damage to ya or kill you if you're low. Most beipis dont seem to know tho that you gotta right click while swimming to claw attack instead of left click so they just bite you for no damage
2 things;
1. Bucking only works if you are stationary
2. You can force the raptors towards the end off of you by going into the water. Not honorable, but it works.

herbivores in the isle are more bloodthirsty than the carnivores
(Its because herbivore life is so boring)
I mean I think that's a trend irl, the most or second most aggressive bear is the one that happens to be a prey item for tigers
The first minute in this video is a perfect example why I dont like playing Cera, its a fun dino but 99% of the time you will get killed by a semi-psychotic discord group. Its like Deino on land, any lone Cera is just a free meal to every other Cera because they also knows this and they never play solo.
Its just boring playing a game if you are forced to play singleplayer because everyone else you meet will try to kill you and it wont even be a interesting fight since they bring 2, 3, 4, 5 other people to bury you with numbers.
Edit: and you managed to group up! truly a event like finding not one but two unicorns in the forest! D:
I've had way more joy with Carno when it comes to grouping. Every Carno I've met in my limited hours of gameplay has been a very hospitable and helpful person.
The isle is one of those games where 9/10 its more fun to watch other people play than to actually play it. The hackers were enough to convince me to never pick the game up again but seein this and how unfun it looks glad I'm never goin back. But If you find you're more frustrated with the game you might want to take a break from it, could definitely feel the frustration in this one
Running into hackers is entirely a YOU issue. Don't play officials, you should know that, it should be common sense for anyone who has played a game with private servers.
@marcusweathers3070 Private servers don't save players from hackers, sure they can be banned from the server but that is IF server staff do something about it. I never played official's when I played the isle and in fact I never play official's in any game in this genre unless necessary.
For new players many will go to official's first especially those who've never played this type of game and may not know private servers offer more protection. But regardless isle players have to stop blaming other people for the games weaknesses, especially if they're playing as intended. I chose the better option for me and that's not playing cause I don't like putting hours of my life into something I could lose in 5 seconds and have to start again just to most likely have the same experience, it isn't a grind that I find rewarding nor fun.

@@honeycrispsnail4032 Unfortunately I haven't played in years, but I hear petits pieds can be a good community sever. Quite a few content creators play there because of the low rules. Islanders server is another I've heard about but I don't know much on it. both I think are mainly eu. Sorry I'm not much help but I hope you find a server that works!
The Isle definitely just feels like suffering. I could never will myself to play it, but it's entertaining to see you enjoy it!

Seeing how many times you died just makes me like playing as stego more. I like chilling and watch others. And I’m not one of those stegos who’s going on a killing spree I just like chilling

So...one thing ive noticed, is a LOT of people who complain about mix packing, like youtubers, will often engage in mixpacking acts...when its convenient. Acts such as...simply sitting in a relatively safe spot to heal where herbies are chilling, also. Or...helping the occasional bird get a fish or frog. Things like that, where its not exactly mix packing.. but COULD come off as such to someone who just enters the picture and sees you sitting there, or a deino give a bird a fish out of temp kindness.
Theres absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it does make me wonder if the cases of supposed mixpacking people see are actually mixpacking, or just having a temp mutual agreement of peace between them for the moment. Ive seen some that are legit mixpacking, but other cases like in videos, its not really that clear.
Another example: dilo eating a goat, and a herra comes along to share...no violence between the two. It may look like mixpacking, but really its just a moment of "we both can share, dont mess with me, i wont mess with you." kind of situation.
Another one i saw recently, was more a form of pettiness agaisnt an annoying player. Someone i think playing raptors constantly harrassed by these dilos, easy herbie meal nearby that still alive, but the raptors blocked the dilo out of spite and pettiness. It was honestly funny as heII lol. But again...lol...not mixpacking. Just being petty and spiteful against an annoying foe lol.
I just think people should consider this point before automatically throwing the claim out there. Another example is a fg deino just not killing the smaller players that legit dont even make a dent in the food bar. Which is why theyll leave them alone. Just remember, it might not be a legit case of mixpacking. You might have just walked in the middle of a temp mutual agreement of peace.
And yes, SOMETIMES two species will work together temp for a single kill, as it benefits both more than someone alone. And it IS realistic.

I will say it is not that clear to tell if people are mix packing if ur playing a dino with bad NV and cant see shit clearly. But like he did in the video sitting next to the deino and diablos in the bright day, it could def come off as mix packing to others who see this so i see your point even though he left quite shortly after. It could also be them just being friendly & chilling and they'll leave but if a fight broke out and you/they are defending another species then yes, thats mix packing. Even Herbies who mix pack like he encountered in the video with the stegos, pachy, diablos and lets say 2 tenos and a galli... what carnivore is gonna be happy about that unless its a decent sized group willing to fight them.
Every single Isle video i've seen there is at least 1-2 agressive herbs who just attack and chase anyone in sight especially if its a carnivore like the stegos in the video...

@@IamDoomii it *really* irritates me when someone is trying to eat, but cant...because a herbie is camping the body like its gonna turn omnivore magically, or when a carn clearly is trying to pass or chill, and a stego or pachy runs up being the sh!ts they are.
I personally don’t have a problem with herbivores hanging out together. Animals today (like in the African Savannah) do migrate together as different species. I draw the line at herbivores and carnivores fighting together. That’s just dumb.
These videos always convince me to redownload and I always regret it.

Hey here’s a tip: go to settings- Gameplay and turn on “Manual alt attack” now you won’t get stuck in the alt attack animation unless when you hold alt and click and choose to do more damage

People keep wondering why the Cera is so strong "since it's a scavenger." So are hyenas, and even lions will run off if they feel like they're outnumbered. I feel that is more of what the Cera is, a hyena. Not a vulture, or some other animal that exclusively eats the dead. But an animal that is just a deadly as any other, and even more opportunistic..
I do think it's missing something, though. Maybe a short ambush speed. Or it could get more stam so I can track down the speedy boys. Oh, it could get a faster trot so it can walk down prey like the legacy giga!
Obviously, it shouldn't get all 3. Just one would be enough.
your the reason i came back to the isles i dropped the game cuz of how hard it was to find teamates and how long the process of growing took but u make the game look very fun
when your pounced you can run against a wall or tree and knock the raptors off so always play around cover when fighting raptors
cerato has advantage fighting in the water against other things that aren't crocs btw, I think it's the only dino that can alt bite in the water, probably why they usually don't follow you in
I don’t know if you know this already but there was a new update where you now can get mutations. You can choose them in your grow tab in the bottom left

Cera is good solo, hard to grow because of cannibalism and being slow but disregarding that slow part, you have more options to eat things right? And for a tip about the isle's herbivore player base in general, They will kill you on site or if you get too close and likely to be with a large mixed group of herbivores or sometimes carnivores but lately as of now its mostly dibbles with dibs and some tag alongs
and another tip, mix packers are likely in discord or some group chat so if you see a mix pack.... avoid them its not worth it unless you are really really hungry and hope that the carnivores in the mix pack don't take your kill
Yeah I dont consider it mix packing if you just chill. Only when helping in combat or scouting.

North is pretty empty but ive actually had some luck in north by going to water access or sanctuary as a bby, Not optimal to hunt in as an adult unless you're lucky but if you have no other options its still decent to spawn in :}

Omfg dude, north plains has deer and goats and it's not always dead, it's better than wasting away like a raisin for 10 minutes. Cerato can also smell corpses from extremely far away so you can find food even if there's no one around.
I love the Cerato design in the isle. It just sucks that the game is always in a state of "what could be"
Yeah hopefully in the updates that are to come the game gets some improvements that make it even better

That Troodon attacking people while food is laying everywhere is pretty toxic behavior should be some rules on that because even pack predators fight less when there is a over abundance of carcassess.

You should try playing teno
As a Cerato main, North IS ur main Spawn trust me. Then You head south east sanctuary cuz there is goats there.
Then you move between East dome & Delta so you get ur deer & grow at 100% speed.
South Plain spawn is a slaughter house. I hate that the Cera has only 2 Spawn choices this is bullshit.
Mutations to pick as a Cera:
1. Congenital Hypoalgesia = "Reduce incoming damage when fighting larger species"
2. a MUST PICK fits ONLY in 2. slot: Gastronomic Regeneration = "Healing while Eating" if u don't pick that ur a moron.
3. Multichambered Lungs: "Reduce stamina regeneration threshold"
If you cannot be bothered unlocking Multichambered Lungs, just pick Hemomania: "Do extra damage on bleeding target"
Man, i am getting tired of these aggresive herbivore's. They are everywhere and attack q.q way more tanky and way more dmg then a omnivore i don't understand this bullshit ._.. Anyway great videos my man keep it up i love what you are doing ^^

The problem with Cerato, is that it's CRIMINALLY underpowered.
It has no special ability, not a usable one at least, and the only creature that can bully are dilos and raptors, anything else completely outclasses it
Its special abillity is its infective bite. And No it isn’t weak at all, its charged bite deals 345 damadge and is enough to 1 shit an omni. Its got unmatched mobillity aswell
@@Random_110 mobility Is outmatched by Tenos, bot Speed and agility, same for ceratos.
The charged bite Is hard to Land, because as soon as you start charging everyone try their best to stay away, and the infettive bite takes a lot to charge up on the target, and when someone pukes it Is no longer stunned in Place, a sitting fuck for the cerato.
While everyone else can either stun you in Place and deal massive damage (Tenos e carno) del way Better status effects like broken Bones (pachy) or is Simply too powerful and oneshot you (stego and deinos).
The only positive matches are against omnis, troodons and dilos...not a lot.
Granted, player skill Is a large part in this, but when ceratos only way to stun the enemy, making them puke, got nerfed, It became and underdog, and this Is a fact
Growing Cera is a pain in the ass, I just keep getting murdered by 90 percent aggro Omnis who think they should just kill every Freshspawn despite a million bodys around. Dam i hate Omnis.

Spawn timers are based on death, not when you spawn.
Ie spawning at 1pm but dieing at 3pm, can't spawn until 3:10pm. Super dumb and supposedly a glitch from the update.
Don't get this wrong, i mean, this video is amazing, but would be better if you weren't tired of playing/being killed, idk i kinda felt it
