    A great whisky and a super smart move by Glasgow Distillery releases cask strength bottles. Brilliant review mate.

      Had to be done! I hope they do a triple distilled CS at some point too, though I imagine that is harder to achieve

    Glad you enjoyed it Vin. I first met Glasgow whisky back in 2021 at a blind tasting and absolutely fell in love with the peated one. Haven't tried the cask strength version but definitely on the radar now. Cheers!

      Man if you liked the standard Peated, you're going to LOVE this

    Great review Vin. The Original cask strength was my favourite in a recent tweet-tasting. Also really enjoyed the Bordeaux red wine finish at GWF and at the Bon Accord, picked up a bottle at the Princess Square shop. Glasgow Distillery are putting out some superb stuff.

      If I were Mr Moneybags I'd have definitely picked up the original too as it's stellar. Peated was the no brainer for me though. They've got some incredible stuff coming up soon too

    Cheers for this review Vin.I love the original 46% Peated.This is now at the top of my"to buy" list.Over the last couple of years I've been creeping up steadily from 46% towards cask strength with the Whisky I've been buying.Last bottle I bought was a peated port cask finish Penderyn distillery exclusive at 59.4% I'm here on Germany and will be checking if it's already available here.
    Thanks again 👍

    A "stand out" whisky from Glasgow distillery.
    Like Vin, i recommend trying to get hold of one of these. Cracking whisky!
    I feel Glasgow distillery are starting to creep a bit under the radar. Which is a shame. But just means it stays available for longer.
    Cheers

      Hah yeah tough one isn't it. I want them to do really well, but I also want to be able to actually get the bottles 🤣

    Great video as always, really enjoying this. The original cask strength is also great. Definitely good value when you see cask strength releases nearly double the price of a normal strength bottle out there. I find it does take water well but its not overpowering when neat either.

    • @NoNonsenseWhisky
      @NoNonsenseWhisky  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a funny one on abv isn't it, as I thought it didn't taste quite as strong as 60%. Only a good thing!

    • @scottmathieson2324
      @scottmathieson2324 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NoNonsenseWhisky on those terms id say the higher abv is more obvious with the original. Maybe thats a peat thing. I have a kings inch thats 58% and its very drinkable without water. I also have a secret speyside tgats 66%. No matter how much water i put in that it beats me up lol.

    Interested. It'll probably take a wee bit to make its way here, but I'll be keeping an eye out for it. By the way, is this the same one Roy recently mentioned in the Cask Strength VPub?

    • @NoNonsenseWhisky
      @NoNonsenseWhisky  ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be! I admit to not being able to catch the vpub very often

    Nightmare! Another good whiskey to try! 😂😂 The list is getting too long! Nice review Vin.

    That price seems great, considering they seem to be using real PX casks instead of treating them with that weird sherry concentrate or whatever it is.
    I wonder what this bottle will cost when they can stick an age statement on it though?
    EDIT: oops. Wrong account again. It’s Dribs & Drams here.

    • @NoNonsenseWhisky
      @NoNonsenseWhisky  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually don't think they have immediate plans for any serious ages statements so hopefully we'll be good for now!

    Tried this last night at the bar next to barrowlands before Charlatans concert and was not impressed was anemic for a peated malt and so flavourless compared to what I'm used to but an ok siper nothing unpleasant about it just a bit dull but well crafted.

    THanks for the VIdeo how would you compair this one to the Meikle Toir Whiskys? Not sure which one to get

    • @NoNonsenseWhisky
      @NoNonsenseWhisky  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh damn, now thats a question.
      I would say the only one this compares to is the Turbo which is mostly sold out.
      That said, all the Meikle Toirs are good tasting whisky. I'd have the 1770 over them

    • @Gamer-kn7fi
      @Gamer-kn7fi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NoNonsenseWhisky ah thanks for the fast feedback yeah sad that the turbo sold out that fast...
      Anyways Looks like the 1770 will soon make its way into my collection
