I've had mine for five years and love it. I've never found an on/off switch on it so I just plugged it into a power strip and used the power strip box.
Mine stops working for months at a time, but then it will come back around, lol. It is strange that there is no On/Off. I thought mine was busted for a while, but came back around. I love it so much. Right now it's dead again so I'm back looking for them, lol. Cheers
I received my unit two days ago, once again there is no support from digitech regarding a video series of how to from after hooking up (hopefully enough of us already know that part , this is not a toy but I think a pro level tool). What saves me on this unit is the fact that there are some impressive presets that I'll be able to use on stage even if digitech doesn't step up to the plate and actually walk us through changing compression, delay , dser on presets and how to set up and use the gold channel etc with examples. I have been using the voice create from tc (not the 'xt' revision) , I think in terms of sound quality this live fx is probably miles ahead, I notice that I can sing easy then loudly, but not annoy myself with lots of popping and over the top volume changes when I hit the higher and louder notes ( I'm guessing dbx and the dessr are incorporated in the presets that work for me). I was apprehensive that this would come with lots of circus presets, but they are kept to a minimum and are for the most part amusing, and will be useful for some performers. The unit is built to Tank standards and looks great , the retro design at the top does not really take much away from the overall look. I have to thank digitech for providing some quality presets instead of the smoke and mirror claims often used by designers that give you almost no useable presets, and tell you that you will easily be able to tweak their unit to come up with something fantastic...lol Quality product.
+Geee Wzzz What is your experience with it so far ? I'm looking into buying one, but I am not interested in the looping but more in the delays and reverbs.
I've had mine for about a year and 1/2. I love it. Wish I could find a forum with people that have uploaded some useful settings that I could import. The only issue I have is that if I'm playing a large house with a high-end sound board, this unit does poorly at soundcheck and the tech immediately makes me remove it. It's happened at 2 venues where national acts play. Any suggestions?
Probably a long shot, but hope someone can help me. I've had this for a years, but now it doesn't go beyond the "vocalist live fx" text when I turn it on, what's the issue? Before this, I was getting fading audio on the mic out. Failing preamp or something?
As someone else pointed out, @ 7:30 it looks like those knobs are MUCH too easily broken, as this happened during a demo. Wow. Does this OBVIOUS design blunder - cheap mount, no protection, next to footswitch mean Digitech will cover these things under warranty? You're supposed to take careful aim during a live performance? "OK, yo! everybody stop playing/listening/dancing, I need to select another patch on my Digitech Live FX and don't want to do $100+ worth of damage, okay? Almost... okay done."
Hey, Quique! Thanks so much for reaching out! There could be a number of factors contributing to that, and I definitely need to get a little more information on your setup, if that's okay with you. Can you give me a shout at the contact info below to talk more about it? Rock on! 🎶🤘 Cassie O'Hanlon, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3020, cassie_ohanlon@sweetwater.com
My problem here is that i need a pedal with XLR phatom power, buuut for sax instead for voice, obviusly that pedal doesn't exist so im surfing above the vocal effects. I need something with Delay and a long sampler, so im between this pedal or the boss VE-20. Wich you recommend me?
I need a processor like this, not a Harmonizer, but this does not look like I would be able to switch through 3 or 4 'USER' presets on stage with ease, am I wrong? What would be the next bump up in in a processor, I hate to spend the money on a harmonizer since I just want a Vocal Processor but will if that's what it takes for easy stage use. Does the V4 and V5 come with the same quality as this unit as far as adjustable effects? Is there a dedicate 'user bank' in all of these units ? I don't like having to replace factory presets with my tweaks, I like to keep them as they are and save my adjustments in my own user bank section, is this possible?
Not lame. True. However, I emailed Digitech after hours and they got back to me the next morning. They suggested my problem may be a bad connection between the power supply and the unit. And I think that may be true because I've noticed since the day I bought it that I'd have to wiggle the power connection there to get it to come on. . My problem was that after ten minutes or so it would lock up and the sound would go dead. It looked like everything was fine, but no sound and no controls would work. Unplugging at the unit and re-plugging it in would fix it, only for it to happen again, 5-10 minutes later. I'll be checking those connections and maybe applying a little de-oxit. Digitech support was super responsive, which counters what I had heard.
quick question, before i decide to drop my cash on either the Live FX or the Live Harmony... I am a Solo Vocalist/Guitarist so i find the Live Harmony perfect for that setting... However.... I also perform nightly at a Piano Bar where i only have access to a Grand Piano. The question is, is the Live Adapt would accurately detect the correct pitch on a LOUD environment using only my Vocals and Grand Piano? If this does what concerns me here, this should win my vote versus the Live Harmony as the price is considerably much higher vs. the Live FX. Anyone can kindly lay your thoughts please? Thanks in advance!
this one works off the built-in mic [I believe] all the older ones had to have an instrument plugged into it to work well. the back of the new one has no place to input an instrument they call it Live Adapt:
Edisson Abel Contreras Sarmiento YeTi2055 I went ahead and bought the Digitech LIVE 5 for $399.. it's quite awesome.. makes harmonies directly from vocal feed.. not sure if it can be configured to reproduce only certain harmonies but it's good nevertheless.. waiting to experiment more..
but wit all the band instruments how do I know that the harmony will be in the right key?? It would've been nice that this toy would work with a guitar input, let me know how it works
Edisson Abel Contreras Sarmiento the instrument demo-ed on this video is NOT what I bought.. I bought the more expensive Digitech LIVE 5 if that wasn't clear.. it works with what input you give (it can work independently with guitars, keys or vocals) .. I have given it a shot and it didn't seem to be an issue..
I never use a tap because I'm either playing acoustic solo or in a band. I haven't found the need for tap for an echo response except when the drummer is playing double time (then the echo follows)
This seems like areal good pedal but.. DOES IT ONLY GIVE BASIC SINGING EFFECTS (REVERB, COMPRESSION, HARMONIES ETC) OR DOES IT ALSO HAVE SOME MORE "SPACEY" AMBIENT EFFECTS THAT CAN BE USED TO CREATE SOUND SCAPES, NOT JUST SINGING VOCAL MELODIES?
I have one, the check test paper says everyrhing is ok, but I feel like the feedback destroyer doesn't work too well. More, the power supplier plugis too flimsy. For the rest, a good fx.
What do you mean ' a channel strip ' for your vocals? I thought this whole thing was for your vocals.lol Would you show us how to use it? I just got mine , and there are no real tutorials that explain how to use this unit from start to finish, they spend tons of money on how to sell, how about how to use. The pfd is a joke, if you're looking for a manual on how to use this with examples.

Matt Calder has a pretty amazing voice; there's legitimate soul there.
HewittH agreed. Shivers. Sounds soulful but right in your face.
Matt's voice is so awesome.
just only for me voice similar to Ph.Collins?
Ironically he sounds so much better without any FX.

Abject Of Decay I’ve had this product for about two years and I gotta say the delay is really my favorite thing to use.

Sound engineer doesn’t have the authority to tell you what you can and can’t use for your gear. Their job is to make you sound as good as you can.
Damn! Dude can throw down some vocals! Nice plucking, too-
Probably a long shot, but hope someone can help me. I've had this for a years, but now it doesn't go beyond the "vocalist live fx" text when I turn it on, what's the issue? Before this, I was getting fading audio on the mic out. Failing preamp or something?
there is one broken knob falling off the pedal. :/
Knob broken in minute 7:30!
Good eye! You saved me some money today!!
You could see it was already wobbly just after 7:00 when he moved the pedal a little bit.
Damn, this guy is a natural. Hope he's got his own thing going. Anyway, so does the Vocal Pro 300 come after or predate this pedal?
With this pedal are you able to layer numerous looped vocals or just have the one looped vocal take?
Scott Wilson I have this pedal and you can do several loops on top of each other but you better have perfect timing
As someone else pointed out, @ 7:30 it looks like those knobs are MUCH too easily broken, as this happened during a demo. Wow. I have used mine for years and never broke anything on it...depends on how the gear is treated I guess
Why does my sound in general in my Vocalist Digi Tech sounds very metallic? How could I make it more real? Thanks a lot!

@@sweetwater Hello Cassie! sure my vocalist friend Silvina will be in touch with you shortly 🤟🏾🎤 thanks a lot! have a great one
I like your guitar, could you tell me which one is It?
Cam you use it with cardoide microphone?...because my mic needs phantom power
Does Live Adapt also work on the loops? Will it play back loops and/or adjust tempos as needed automatically based on tempo on stage?
My problem here is that i need a pedal with XLR phatom power, buuut for sax instead for voice, obviusly that pedal doesn't exist so im surfing above the vocal effects. I need something with Delay and a long sampler, so im between this pedal or the boss VE-20. Wich you recommend me?

Loved mine - for the three months that it worked.
Lame! I've had mine now for 8 or 9 months of steady gigging, no issues. Have you reached out to Digitech?
Not lame. True.

Right on - wasn't saying you weren't being honest, just sucks that you're having issues. Hope you get it sorted!
Yeah, I missinterpreted it. Sorry. It should be fine for our gig Friday. It is one seriously amazing device.
No worries!
can you use the jamman looper with this??
You try to give the video more brightness it will be great if you do

Very Nice. I saw the Live Harmony demoed at NAMM which was impressive. I didn't even know about this unit. When did it come out?
great demo! need clarification please.. Is it purely dependent on the vocals or does it take feed from guitars to generate harmonies etc?
this one works off the built-in mic [I believe] all the older ones had to have an instrument plugged into it to work well.

Didn't anyone mention Roger Chapman yet?

when was this released
I have one of these and i absolutely love it. Works Great!
u can loop the guitar and the vocal?
CelRas Spiritual Roots only vocals
We like this one
great singer some of that sounds close to ( peter g gone to far, dont give up, sledge hammer) nice sound im thinking about this product
at the ending of video seems what one button is broken . this pedal is desechable
Someone is a Phil Collins fan.
Man, you sound like phil collins!
schönes Teil...da mag man doch investieren...beim nächsten Taschengeld....:)
Sounds more like Warren Haynes.
Me-ee
These tools are not perfect, but damn if you have an imagination, you can take over the world.

That guitar sounds positively horrible.
Video sound really crappy. Poor representation of an otherwise good FX pedal
If you need this you can't sing...
