    Great advice! I have heard a lot of people out there that say the German Shepherd or the Belgian Malinois are the only way to go for a real personal protection dog. Those same people believe that those dogs are the only breeds with real aggression and capable of engaging and staying in the fight with a “bad guy”. I simply do not subscribe to that thought whatsoever. I have nothing against herding breeds. I’ve owned several well bred nice German Shepherds in the past. (I’ve also owned several very nice, well bred APBTs in the past) I currently have Dobermans and a lot of people look down on the Doberman breed. There’s still plenty of good Dobermans out there. There’s plenty of not so good ones out there too. I consider one my males to be a pretty exceptional dog and I try to look at all my dogs very objectively and hold them to a certain standard. From a behavioral standpoint he possesses what I would consider a lot of the terrier traits. Terriers were originally used in the formation of the Doberman breed and I believe that gave those original dogs their tenacity. Many of those exceptional traits have been lost over the years but there’s still great Dobermans out there. Despite popular opinions on the breed, my goal is to breed the best working Dobermans I can possibly find. I’m at the beginning stages of a breeding program. Thank you for doing these videos! I really like what I’ve seen of your Bandog program! Nice looking dogs.

    I desire to create my own program of dogs and have begun to study genetics like you’ve mentioned in your videos. How did you narrow down what dogs specifically you wanted to use. For example why a pit and not a presa wouldn’t that still be an example of a game dog?

    Can your dogs be in a multi dog home?

    • @APBT-Bandog
      @APBT-Bandog  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They are typically fine with dogs of opposite gender but i wouldn’t trust them with a dog of the same gender.

      Would u call any other breed that’s not labeled as a game dog a cur dog?

    • @APBT-Bandog
      @APBT-Bandog  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@domoniquebromwell9804 Cur breed is a breed that is not bred to be committed. A cur dog is a dog that is not committed. While generally, dogs of cur breeds are not committed, dogs should be tested to know if they are committed or not. That said, generally speaking, yes, that would be accurate.

    Same mentality I've had with my kids. A sport is for competition purposes. I have had a difficult time with the martial arts instructors teaching my kids to end the fight. They tell me it's about control and avoiding conflict. No sir, when it hits the fan, the goal is to win!
    Like what you're talking about here.

      As someone who has trained both in muay thai and Dutch style kickboxing over the years. The instructors are doing their job.
      There is a good chance that kids may develop CTE when training from a young age. They does not have the conditioning and chin like a grown up. Kids don't understand the consequences of brain damage. Every hit they take to the head has potential for brain damage. People does not understand it.
      2. A true martial artist should always try to avoid conflict, Until someone put their hands on thim.
      Because the other person may have a knife or a box cutter or a gun. We never know. I can take on 95% of the world population (1v1) . But if a guy has a knife, I'm losing that fight. No matter how tall or built I am, knives cut through flesh pretty easily.

    God bless. Repent, trust, and believe in Jesus and be saved. Seek Him and you will find Him. All material things will perish but God is eternal. All are times will come and we don’t know when, but will you have peace in knowing and believing Him who does. Much love and God bless. Remember we all have free will to choose what we want to do, but our choices have consequences whether good or bad, you decide. Except the free gift of grace for eternal life. Jesus died so that you can be saved even through all of the mistakes you we have made.
    Today could be your last, so make a decision with urgency, as to choose Jesus is for your own good, and the good of others. Again much love and God bless.
