Would you be able to tell me if an ECV would fit through the doorway? My husband has his own , not quite as large as the ones that I rented in the park. He does not need an accessible shower just needs to be able to put his ECV in the room
@Dianne S That's a really good question! I know that many people using ECVs stay at all of the DVC properties and there are dedicated wheel-chair accessible rooms. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but I would suggest contacting the resort to ask. What I can do is bring my tape measure for our next resort stay and I'll include that in the video! Thanks for your question and for watching our video!
I love the value studios and I make good use of them. I don't perceive a difference in size. I did stays in February and April and had the same room, 5133, both times! It looked out on the 30-minute parking lot. You were lucky to have a pool view. When the soft reno is done, the value rooms are going to be an even more amazing deal. I feel very lucky to be an AKV owner. Great points chart, beautiful lobby, authentic art and animals! The only thing I don't like is that I like to walk and it's not a good walking resort. All of the grounds are given to the savanna. I disagree with you about the music. I think the best is Riviera, my other home resort. Great video!
Thanks for watching the video and your comments! Totally agree about the walking as we're big walkers as well. AKV definitely has the lowest walkability score for us. Our most recent WDW trip was Riviera last week and our very first time staying there. What a gorgeous resort!
@@paradisetoday Walkability and walking paths is a great idea for a video. It might have been done already, but I'd love to hear your opinions. Riviera is also not the best walking resort as its compact footprint is considered one of its strengths. It's very nice to walk up to the bulwarks and look at the lake, but that's not exactly much of a walk. It would probably be nice to walk to and around Caribbean Beach, but I have not done that yet. I'm guessing that Saratoga Springs is the best for walking as it's the largest resort and it's landscaped rather than woods, but I haven't stayed there yet.
@pnyc1969 We actually found that Riviera had great walking because we did walk over to and through the Caribbean Beach resort. With the addition of the Skyliner thar entire resort area has so much going for it. We might do a Riviera video of our most recent stay but we have a back log of videos to do at this point 😂 You can see the video we did on Old Key West on our channel which I think is on par with Saratoga Springs for walking the Disney Springs area...

@@paradisetoday Yes, if you consider Riviera and CB together it's probably very nice. I will check out your OKW video. I have not stayed there either.
