    The waves at Point Moore are similar (slightly smaller) to the waves we used to get at Scarbough and Trigg's Island in the 60's.

    Hey, when to do a series for Penghu in Taiwan? 40 knots in the winter and 20 knots in other seasons, warm throughout the year, conditions for big ways, freestyle and slalom racing. Great spot there!

    We moved there in the late 80s, mainly for windsurfing, stayed for 7 years. This video doesn't exaggerate anything about how good the wave sailing conditions are. In fact, he might have missed something out... :)

    I'm going to build a lighthouse at my local spot so the great waves come there too!
    (actually the waves are good, but more wind would be nice)

    Point Moore - stay away from Hells Gate. That bit is aptly named

    • @asdmuzak
      @asdmuzak 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hells is the best wave there, early on a south easterly , noone even out, better than corros or the spot

    How do you get there and how do you best get around? I am guessing by plane from Perth, rent a van and rent equipment?

    • @MrAussieJules
      @MrAussieJules 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Greyhound. Bus from.perth. if you are travelling for a lenght of time, buy second hand van and sailboard gear.

    I loved Gero. Was 2014 when I went and I’d go again, but inflation has made it so expensive now.

      I actually haven't foiled there. Just have to be careful of the reefs. Coronation Beach (downwind) would be good i reckon.

    If we travel from Germany to this Spots there any options to rent Windsurfstuff and Kite?

  • @martinwild843

    Renting gear ?

    • @WindsurfingTV
      @WindsurfingTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think the only options are in Perth. (i'd need to google them) Simmer Style WA, Severne WA, Windsurfing Perth... off the top of my head.

    good report, but felt a bit scripted, mate

    • @WindsurfingTV
      @WindsurfingTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well... i never script anything! But the video was made first then my comments were asked for... so they had to be a certain length! So when recording it.. it took me a few times saying similar things to get the timing right.
      Maybe why you think that.. but as i said in another comment. Everything i said is 100% true... it's my favorite Winter destination.

    @Windsurfing.TV Sorry Ben if I really do not like seeing exaggerated commercials on Windsurfing.TV... hope you get good money for it and thanks for the nice pictures.

    • @WindsurfingTV
      @WindsurfingTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Exaggerated? it's really not... i Bloody Love Gero... Spent 5 winters there! It's my Favorite Winter destination by far... what exactly is exaggerated?
      I can honestly say... i have NEVER and Will NEVER just promote a place because i'm paid money. Any place you hear me being passinate about is becuase i fully believe it. Gero is 100% the best base on the west coast and has amazing sailing spots as i said in the video.

    • @Rufus-OG
      @Rufus-OG 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I live in WA and there’s no exaggerations in this vid. We are blessed with some amazing spots and solid conditions from September to April every year. Nice video by the way ... looking forward to that summer sun 🌞 and wind, it’s a bit wet and wintery here at the moment.

    • @lucienlagrange38
      @lucienlagrange38 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WindsurfingTV I trust you and pictures are talking for themselves. What I think is exaggerated is to promote the airplane industry while it is so obvious that it should not be what it was before Covid. The vid would had be even nicer without the sentence "Gero is the best winter destination ever"
      I like to see other spots on TV and I thank you for that. Maybe you understood better now what is disliked in that video.
      Hang on !

    • @WindsurfingTV
      @WindsurfingTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@lucienlagrange38 You have to remember this video/Spot guide will be viewable long after the Covid stuff has died down. So if i make every video and reference COVID 19 it won't age well... and looking back gets a bit boring to constantly hear about it.
      So i'm almost ignoring it in my videos as i know most people understand this. We are all big enough to get the NEWs from the relevant News outlets and make up our own minds based on that. Don't need me lecturing and telling people what to do.

    • @lucienlagrange38
      @lucienlagrange38 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WindsurfingTV sure, and I agree with your setup but, forgive me, that's not what I'm talking about. My question is, as windsurfers, do we want that world to stay the same logical mess... or do we prefer to change ourselves and enjoy our spots as they are ?
      First answer so let's promote one week trip to the antipodes for everyone...
      Second answer so let's do more idiots guide about latest disciplines and material that help us to enjoy our spots with what they offer on that moment...
