- Spent 90min filming Thomas & Anton at their favourite sailing spot at Point Moore in Geraldton, Western Australia.
Can be a sketchy sailing spot on low tide so be careful if you give it a go.

Had to keep replaying to try and catch his tack technique on that small board!
Yeah it's the most handy move in wavesailing.
Had some great sessions there in 2002, some big swims too with a broken mast and ripped sail, I lived in one of yellow sheds behind the lighthouse for a few months with a mate. Belonged to Rick’s windsurf shop that used to be located there, he rented it to us for the summer, good times.
Ah super cool Ben, was extra special when the shop was there.
Arhh, Gero and wind ! One day at a gero park while it was blowing 40kph I had a couple from NSW ask me if it is like this all the time and I told them " no , sometimes it gets really windy " ! 😎👍

@@windsurfer Very good, very nice but even getting to Gnaraloo is an adventure in itself. Those sandy roads and lizards as big as dogs. Have you been there? Some of the best down the line windsurfing ever.

Tacking Thomas tacks. I don't think I saw even 1 gybe. He's a better man than me. Love the drone footage. None of that jerky panning you so often see.
Tacking is great. Don’t lose ground downwind & it’s satisfying.

That's about as small as the gates gets, i sailed that place double mast more than once when i used to live there from 01 to 13.
So many sessions with 1 or 2 others. It's the best wave in gero for sure.
Go early on a windy south easter when everyone else is waiting for the seabreeze and you'll get bombs from hell.
Big big fish out there, saw a 2ft fin pop out in front of me, got chased out of the water by a bull seal that followed me from hells to kiddies and back to hells.
Nearly drowned, got my boardies ripped off.

Cool stories asdmuzak! This is not technically Hell's gates though it's the wave further north. But yeah Hells gets massive, it gets scary. Sounds like you did well to survive!

6 weeks time I will be in Geraldton :) Stoney has made me a board and I am picking up all the other kit in Perth havnt sailed much in thirty years...Figured this will get me going again..I have lost count of how many times i have watched these clips :) The place looks like Paradise

Very often as long as you don’t have too much wind otherwise go to Sunset or Coronation Beach.
