For those who are practicing, this might help you: 0:00 (First listen to the song) 3:08 (The Chords) 4:05 (The Melody) 5:54 ( The Solo *optional but will give you a concept to improvise*) Great and helpful tutorial by the way!
just in time for me! I’ve known this masterpiece for more than a decade and finally got the urge to learn it last year. Yet here I am finally learning this masterpiece. Thank you sir for taking time sharing and making learning easy ❤
I have been wanting to learn this all my life and I'm finally getting down to it. Thank you so much. I couldn't have done it without this great tutorial.
Brother I could watch you solo to this all day long!!! Just so damn smooth and nice! From one professional musician to another.... Thank you! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your playing!!
Hi - I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's an interesting question... Due to the chromaticism in the chord progression, it would probably be difficult to find a single scale to work with. But having said that - it all depends on one's ear. Thanks for the post :-)
Wow, thank you man. I have been wanting to learn this for many years and all of a sudden it is coming together for me. I am self taught, autodidact, the struggle is real.
What a wonderful lesson and break down to one of my absolute favorite tunes! I've been playing the song for close to 30 years and you know how it goes. You hit plateaus, 😢your inspiration goes away you never want to play that damn song again yada yada yada! I have to say that your video has breathed new life into a song that I love but was getting tired of playing and performing at shows. I particularly loved the chord lines and voicings that you're using. Just fantastic! And some of them I never would have thought to have used so thank you so very much. And also the solo section was very helpful just in adding some new blood as it were to my approach to this song. So I guess long story short I'm a new subscriber I've been smashing the hell out of the like button and I've shared it to several of my students and guitar-playing buddies!! So thanks again. I do have to say though that the commercial that you have to sit through there for a minute is pretty corny!😊💯🍻
Wonderful tutorial, I'm finally able to wrap my head (or my fingers, I should say) around this masterpiece of a song. Your solo is also so well done and very inspiring. Thank you :)
Because the music is in your DNA, and the intervals are designed to evoke a wistful feeling, but also probably because you have been enjoying it for many years.

Why does this sound so nostalgic?
jazz and also jazz rock is a romantic music
Because the music is in your DNA, and the intervals are designed to evoke a wistful feeling, but also probably because you have been enjoying it for many years.
