Not even just bolters. Space marines utilize various ammunition for their bolt guns then you have melta weapons that are meant to destroy tanks, terminator squads, and so on and so forth
Story wise, noble 6 held his own for a few hours at the end of reach, they sent a whole army at one spartan. Titus and his team would damn near solo them on reach lol
The covenant ships brought to reach were around 300 ships. Each one (being generous since it's vague) carries about 30k troops and 10k armored units for deployment. Plasma weaponry is the norm most high ranking elites carry energy swords (like power swords) that can cut through most material like a wh40k power sword. Honestly, the problem with this is the lack of clearly defined parameters. Is Reach a fortress world for the ultramarines? How many ultramarines are present? In the great crusade, the UM had 250k and in 40k, 70% ish of all chapters (1,000 chapters of 1,000 marines meaning 700,000 marines ish) come from UM Geneseed. This would put ~700k space marines vs 9 million covenant At UM strongest, they defend the planet easily. Anything less than half strength is being stormed by the covenant and their tech.
Roboute Guilliman (pronounced Ruh-BOOT-ay GIL-li-man), sometimes referred to as the "Avenging Son," "The Victorious," "The Master of Ultramar" and "The Blade of Unity," Also, Macragge (pronounced Muh-CRAG)
So you want space marine legion that good at eveything and bad at nothing against covenant of course they can. It will be interesting if it is imperial fist legion. The legion that specialize on defensive tactics.
The biggest difference in power when comparing Space Marines to Spartans as ops against covenant is that named spartans die left and right in the lore meanwhile a named Space marine might as well be an unkillable god in the lore and Ultramarines Chapter has a LOT of named Space marines
I love Halo, I grew up with the original trilogy. I am new in w40k universe…. And I can say with confidence that warhammer universe is WAY more harder and stronger. Can’t compare a universe from the years 2500-2700 with a thing from 40,000
If they fail, they will still win. Exterminatus. I agree though…the 40k empire would steamroll the Halo world. I doubt they’d even offer the humans a chance to take the knee and worship their true god, the Emperor.
If it's the Dark Angels, they'll gonna chase them out of Reach then erase High Charity itself.

Don’t even need the whole chapter just send in Malum Caedo.

Plasma would be a problem though

Just get Trajann and gulliman to fight them all and that’s all it would take

whos the bigger man titus or master chief
If you're talking about who would win TItus would wipe John but he is definitely a the bigger of them as a person
Master Chief still has his humanity

Halo is for kids compared to 40k. You should be comparing Star Trek to 40k and let the grown up figure this out
Spartans are nothing compared to a space marine lol
