Guys let's all take a step back and look at FACTS. Michigan ranks 128th in returning player production this year. That's out of 133 FBS teams. So, Michigan has less returning player production -- usually MUCH less -- than over 96% of all FBS programs. New OC. New DC. New Head Coach. New people throughout the staff. So....OF COURSE Michigan isn't what they were last year. But they'll be back. History tells us that much for sure. Go blue!
With Orji I want these 5 skill guys on the field as much as possible: Edwards, Mullings, Bredeson, Loveland, Klein. And pound the rock like no one has ever seen a big time program do. Mix in some clever play action passes every now and then. But it’s time to control the ball and wear defenses out.
klein and no receivers is nasty. swap him for semaj morgan, use him in motion to threaten the line of scrimmage laterally and spread out the front, make our running easier, and use him as a deep threat for those play action shots that counter the run game. id also try to get orji and frederick moore in sync, he looks dangerous and could change our offense entirely come november.
People say power running schemes are boring, but I don’t think so at all. A well carried out run play is a thing of beauty. An offense that basically beats up the defense, wearing it down, then enforces its will on the opponent later in the game, is a thing of beauty.
This is the offensive skill position lineup I'd like to see starting: Alex Orji QB - Is averaging 5.8 yards per carry Colston Loveland TE1/Split End - Gotta get him involved early. Move him around the field and find the mismatches. Marlin Klein TE2 - He could be a downfield threat with his size/speed combination. Kalel Mullings RB - Is averaging 7.5 yards per carry on 36 carries after averaging 6.2 ypc last year. Donovan Edwards RB/Slot - The coaches need to get more creative with him as a weapon in the passing game. Move him around and use him as a chess piece. He would be a threat because you don't want him to get the ball in the open field. Max Bredeson FB/HB - I almost put WR Frederick Moore here but Bredeson helps add more toughness to the lineup.
This is where the staff needs to learn into Tony Alford’s knowledge and experience. He’s been in multiple successful offenses that featured a run 1st QB with JT “was short” Barrett and Braxton “was paid” Miller. 🤷🏾♂️😂 Seriously though…
Of course it will! This offense is going to be explosive! Run it back! The Don! Culture, player development, and toughness! Did I get all the offseason talking points?
We run the football from every spot, RB Mullings and Edwards, QB, jet sweep Semaj. Run run run. Play D to keep USC passing game in check. And let the chips fall.
Somehow Hole glossed over the fact they had a top OL in 2021. Also that ARK ST is one of the worst rush defenses in the country. Using that as your bar is hilarious.
Thirty-eight years and Ohio fans are literally the safety patrol and tattle tales of fan bases. You waited three years to open your mouth with that rebuttal. I guess the new metric is dropping thirty million to lose in the playoffs. Hilarious.
USC is much better than ARK ST. why compare the 2- WA in 2021 was terrible and fired coach ar end of year come on man-MI had best O line in 2021 and 2022 not even close now
And wtf do we do when USC's stacked box stuffs most of our runs because they KNOW what we're about to do before every play? What happens when we are constantly facing 3rd downs because we're moving the ball at a snail's pace? What happens when they force Orji to throw and he looks like trash doing it? I absolutely GUARENTEE you all 3 of those things will occur lol.
Michigan receivers have been unreliable about creating distance from defenders. USC knows this, and anticipates that Orji in the QB role implies a predisposition for a running attack. They will load the box on most plays, and rely on man-on-man defense against chunk passing plays. Unless Michigan succeeds with occasional long passing plays (an ability that hasn't been shown this season, even against lesser opponents), rushing success behind an average O-line isn't gonna happen. I'm a Wolverines fan, but I predict a 24-point loss this Saturday.
Texas is a superior opponent and didn't score in the second half against our defense. USC's defense will not hold up against Michigan's running attack and the ground in pound will put them away in the second half.
@@robertjulieannanalett1691😂😂😂I'm a Michigan fan and Texas didn't score in the 2nd half because Texas didn't WANT to score in the 2nd half. Miller Moss apparently has Fart Fetish given the incident between him and a former roommate back in the Spring of 2022. In a video, which was first obtained by TMZ, Moss can be seen first telling someone off camera that he’s “stealing this shirt, dude” and insisting to the person off camera that they’re not going to wear it. In another clip, Moss, who was a freshman at the time, is shown with others rummaging through what appears to be his roommate’s closet. He then grabs a pillow off the bed, placing it behind his butt and releasing what appears to be a fart. He later suggests to one of the others in the room to take a jacket from out of the closet. This incident appears in the Los Angeles Times article of Sept. 3, 2024, which states that the "USC quarterback Miller Moss was involved in a dispute with his former roommate who was also trying out for the quarterback position at USC. was part of part of a 2022 dispute that triggered an USC university investigation."
