- Developed using the skill and expertise of Husqvarna Factory Racing riders Skyler Howes and Luciano Benavides, the latest model FR 450 Rally is forever evolving to stay at the forefront of world-class rally-raid competition.
The development process includes hours of racing and testing, with a huge amount of work put in by the entire team over the course of the year. Those tweaks and changes will be truly put to the test in the upcoming Dakar Rally, which starts early in January 2023.
The riders' invaluable feedback under race conditions ultimately filters down to the customer through the machines that are available to purchase from the Husqvarna Motorcycles dealer network.

It is interesting how the fairing/tower is just a little different than the KTM. It would be nice to have an Adventure version that could be more readily available to consumers. Standard spec 500 motor, no rally equipment, (road book, etc…) Xplor 48mm forks and shock, front tanks only, rear subframe for luggage.

@@houjous5131 that is a twin cyl not a single. It needs to be lighter than a 690 enduro
@Cycle9568 wait and see I guess. The 350ish lbs wet weight seems within the realm of manageable the 690 has. The duke 890 is 360ish lbs wet. I think I've seen 890 adventures as low as 390ish lbs after extreme weight savings.
The 490 needs 45-50hp & 20-30 ft-lbs of torque at 340-370lbs wet. Seems super doable.

KTM and Husqvarna both sell factory rally bikes. They're very limited number but both are available around the £30k mark prepped and ready to race

Dear husqvarna, literally 37 people in the entire world rally race. And about a million dual sport and adventure ride. Nobody cares about your 30 buttons on the handle bar to scroll your weird little map thingy we just want you to sell us the fairing kit and the big fuel tank for less than $7000

KTM, GASGAS and Husqvarna all have the same parent company. I’m sure many parts are the same between brands
