You're a lifesaver! I accidentally erased my config file and it's been literally years since I hacked the Vita and I had no idea where to even start lol.
the problem I have is that when I mount sd2vita(h-encore) I cant get the live area to refresh so none of my apps show up dispite seeing other people do this on youtube
You just need to restart it as shown in this vids first part - and then just run h-encore no need at all to remove the sd2vita physically - just have the encore and vitashell as mentioned on your Memory card / internal.
I just upgraded to a 256gb memory card and everything worked except for easyvpk which kept giving me an error. Deleting the proper folders and Abbott self then safe mode then restart again afterwards which is what I was missing has solved my issue. Thanks James
How'd you get yours to show you the full capacity? I upgraded from a 128GB to a 256GB. I transfered all my data from the 128GB to the larger one, but after the switch still is showing me only 6GB left despite having at least 100GB more.

Hey Tech, I wanted to know I had a whole bunch of games on my SD2vita card. I refreshed the db and it dissapeard. I had a back up and went to pkgj and it said the games are already installed which they are on the SD2vita card. How do I get them to be view able on the homescreen again?

I followed the steps 100% with 4 different card sizes and brands. Sd2vita does NOT recognize it being installed.... trued 3.70 and 3.65, tried both autoplugin and tfcard. Using sd2vita 5.0
James the most common problem is nodprm on sd2vita.. updating the live area does not add the game to the home screen.. can you please do a video on how to sort this out.. there are loads of people asking how to resolve this on the forums and no answers! PLEASE HELP!!

I have henkaku enso 3.65.... And it suddenly stopped working... If I try to open my vita the enso logo is still there and the henkaku settings is still there but the memory is just a dash or a blank... Wth everything is gone in my home menu
Hey I’m running enso and I have a similar issue. The difference is it doesn’t take me to the safe mode. And each time I open any app or game the vita restarts itself
H James, one common problem I have with the sd2vita is with the refresh. I have two SD cards I usually switch out but swapping them over, the vita doesn't refresh the apps on the screen. It leaves the previous apps on the screen from the other sd card that was inserted before. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks again for the reply. If I remove the sd card and reboot the vita it does indeed refresh back to the apps on the internal storage. I can then place the sd card back in and it will refresh to find the sd card apps. It's when I swap it for another sd card lies the problem. The vita refuses to refresh the this second sd card. Like I say if I do all this on the PSTV it will refresh all the time.

So I'm suddenly having a problem adding any files my SD2Vita 256GB SD card. My PC keeps saying to scan and fix errors. I accidentally clicked scan and fix errors, but then cancelled. Then I disconnected and it froze. I powered back up and now it shows I have 65GB extra free space but all of my apps still work. I still cannot perform any functions when connecting it to my PC (like adding files). Is it okay to reconnect it and let it scan and fix errors to possibly make the SD card work properly or is that something I should avoid doing?

My vita froze on setting. Didn't completely freeze I could move up and down and click stuff but it wouldn't let me exit when I restarted it everything was gone. My sd to vita isn't reading now and I can't find anything that was on my sd. Any suggestions?
Hey James, I hope you see this, or somebody with a solution. I got a white SD2Vita Pro today and right off the box it seemed fine but while I was doing the installation process which I had to redo due to an issue with the formatting, somehow the card now shuts down my system as soon as it makes contact with the gameslot terminals which seems to be like a shorting problem. Does anybody know what the deal is with this? The vita works just dandy if I remove this thing, and I ended up removing the storagemgr plugin since it wasn't exactly doing anything at that point. Simply connecting the adapter will invariably shutdown my console and if I leave it inside and try to turn it on, I see the molecule logo for a second then it dies again...

Heres some problems I encountered with my fat oled 3g ps vita running henkaku sd2vita. Pressing sleep mode but ps vita will shutdown after a minute. I fixed this problem by pressing and holding the power button until it shuts down and only release it when it boots into recovery mode, then just choose 'restart the system', this will fix the problem but don't let ps vita battery complete drain to zero or the problem will come back and you will have to do another recovery mode step I mention above. Another problem I encountered is battery will drain to zero after a day even though it is completely power off. I found a solution from youtube video where you have to remove a 3g module (ps vita oled 3g)and edit a registry afterward to prevent a error message, and now no more drains. But there is still 1 problem I haven't found a solution and it is ps vita waking up from sleep by its own randomly???
Ok I need help. Running Henkaku 3.65 Endo mod and an sdvita memory card adapter. Was working fine and now when I play certain games like Persona 4 it lags really slow. I also had some videos I tried watching and the ux0 files won't load. Any ideas why this is happening would be awesome.??? Thanks
My Vita is fully modded with no problems, but as soon as I insert and format the the sv2vita card the Vitadeploy bubble disappears. It's pretty difficult to go from there with the micro sd without Vitadeploy. Any ideas? I've been searching the web and haven't found anything addressing this exact situation.
Every time I turn on my jailbroke ps vita it comes up "free space on memory card only 40 mb left" i then have to go into vitadeploy to mount the card again, then vita shell to mount again? Any help?? Thanks
My sound stopped working after I formatted and rebooted using storageFormat. Bluetooth works and rebuilding my database did not fix. My sound stopped working the other day with Retroarch but I deleted it and my sound came back.

Well if U use more than 100GB U should format your SD Card not with default allocation size but with 64kb. Then you should not have problems with free space , U should have correct free space too. I had problem with my 256 GB that everything disapeared. I had backup 128GB card and backup original 8GB memory card with hack fortunatelly. I fixed it this way and have no problems. Hope this information will be usefull. Found deeply on Reddit.
I jailbroke my Vita by installing Henkaku. Was able to use an sd card. However, my system stopped detecting game cards. Any ideas how to fix this issue? I ended up getting rid of Henkaku and going back to original system software.
Ive tried what you said but it still keeps crashing. Lasted 1 second but I had to go to the henkaku website and reinstall it. Then my games would launch but when 3mins in it crashed again. Now when I try to launch henkaku website again and press r1 it rebuilds but I cant launch h-encore it keeps producing an error code and I cant run any of my games as it says I dont have homebrew. I dont get it
Yes i ended up getting a sd2vita and formatting a sd card for the vita then inserted it and enso ex did the rest, then i had to re download and install hencore and vita shell but with enso it is permanently hacked

I'm having a slightly different issue (this did fix my crashing though thanks), I was using it all day yesterday just fine after I set up my SD2Vita, it crashed so I restarted, but now my card is showing only 3.5 GB available when I definitely have like 20 GB of games I was playing just fine. I was able to Mount through VitaShell last night, but it happened again today and the mount option is greyed out. I need an adult!!
Omg. another Restarting and cleaning your sdcard. This is not fixing. its more like stalling. Is your custom firmware out of date to get the error? Is your Sdcard formated with lower cluster? Is the CPU on your vita just worn out? If its psvita 2000, would I still get the error even if I install it on the onboard memory?
Hi tech James hope you can help man. I hacked my ps vita and followed all your videos the hack worked fine and the games worked fine. Turned on my vita after ages but now I seem to get error messages. When I try and play the games I get error: An error has occurred. I already deleted ux0:tai folder and nonpdrm is still not working as well as other plugins.
when using Sd2vita as ux0 your cfw will detect ur0 as pluginstorage (PCH-2000)

Yes tried that also. The sd cards (tested three sd cards now) and two adapters seem fine. I think it's something on the Vita causing the problem?

6 months on and I've just had the same issue. Did you ever figure out what it was? I think it's just a faulty adapter and have bought some new ones.

It's pretty difficult to go from there with the micro sd without Vitadeploy. Any ideas? I've been searching the web and haven't found anything addressing this exact situation.

Every time I turn on my jailbroke ps vita it comes up "free space on memory card only 40 mb left" i then have to go into vitadeploy to mount the card again, then vita shell to mount again? Any help?? Thanks

My sound stopped working after I formatted and rebooted using storageFormat. Bluetooth works and rebuilding my database did not fix.
My sound stopped working the other day with Retroarch but I deleted it and my sound came back.
No matter what I try all I keep getting no matter what game at random times it will just pop up and say cannot access the memory card and the PS1 game closes .
I suddenly got this error c1-2738-0 and I turned off my console to remove the sd2vita and when I turned it on my homebrew apps and game icons gone missing .. how can I fix it pls help
Well if U use more than 100GB U should format your SD Card not with default allocation size but with 64kb. Then you should not have problems with free space , U should have correct free space too. I had problem with my 256 GB that everything disapeared. I had backup 128GB card and backup original 8GB memory card with hack fortunatelly. I fixed it this way and have no problems. Hope this information will be usefull. Found deeply on Reddit.

I jailbroke my Vita by installing Henkaku. Was able to use an sd card. However, my system stopped detecting game cards. Any ideas how to fix this issue? I ended up getting rid of Henkaku and going back to original system software.

Ive tried what you said but it still keeps crashing. Lasted 1 second but I had to go to the henkaku website and reinstall it. Then my games would launch but when 3mins in it crashed again. Now when I try to launch henkaku website again and press r1 it rebuilds but I cant launch h-encore it keeps producing an error code and I cant run any of my games as it says I dont have homebrew. I dont get it
Well I got a defective card so I returned to get a new one and it works just fine
I loaded up to many plugins and now my psvita keeps rebooting when I try to play cfw games anybody know how to fix it?

Yes i ended up getting a sd2vita and formatting a sd card for the vita then inserted it and enso ex did the rest, then i had to re download and install hencore and vita shell but with enso it is permanently hacked

My problem with sd2vita my Vita says very often "sd card removed"
I'm having a slightly different issue (this did fix my crashing though thanks), I was using it all day yesterday just fine after I set up my SD2Vita, it crashed so I restarted, but now my card is showing only 3.5 GB available when I definitely have like 20 GB of games I was playing just fine. I was able to Mount through VitaShell last night, but it happened again today and the mount option is greyed out. I need an adult!!

Omg. another Restarting and cleaning your sdcard. This is not fixing. its more like stalling.
Is your custom firmware out of date to get the error? Is your Sdcard formated with lower cluster? Is the CPU on your vita just worn out? If its psvita 2000, would I still get the error even if I install it on the onboard memory?

Hi tech James hope you can help man. I hacked my ps vita and followed all your videos the hack worked fine and the games worked fine. Turned on my vita after ages but now I seem to get error messages.
When I try and play the games I get error:
An error has occurred.
(c1-2783-0)
I also get error when trying to download games in pkgj v0.33 the error is:
Download failure: scePromoterUtilityPromotePkgWithRif failed: 0x8010111c
