Merci Paul pour ce tutoriel, ma K1600GT 2014 est tombée et le rétroviseur est cassé, j’économise une bonne cinquantaine d’euros grâce à toi 👍🏻.

    Thank you, Paul.
    This is very helpful.
I managed to "wack" the left-hand mirror.
As of Feb 2023, the mirror assy is listed for $285 US. A scuffed up and broken left mirror showed up on eBay for $140. The part I broke appeared to be okay, so it's ordered.
I'm sure this would be a $500 or $600 repair if I brought it in to the dealer (about an oil-change & safety check's worth).
    Thank you again!

Thank you Mr. Paul. Your video helped with my 2020 K1600. Had my antenna break. JB Welded the plate that holds my antenna to the bike as I could not find a replacement.

The Vermillion red is my favorite colour on a 1600.

I never use power tools on plastic panels. Crack the plastic or damage threads ends in tears.

I’ve never damaged plastic with this tool. It is important to know the tool and how much torque it applies. Certainly I agree to,take care with fasteners for plastic, so that’s a good point.

I broke the aluminum shaft inside my right mirror…. Got any suggestions that won’t break the bank?

The shaft on the mirror, or the part that the mirror slides into? You could try welding it back together using propane and alumite rods, that's lower heat so may help prevent any damage to the mirror's plastic. Assuming it's the mirror that's broken.
If the part the mirror slides onto that's broken, you need to take the fairing apart. That is not aluminium so isn't easy to weld, 'pot' metal doesn't weld well. So that's really a replacement of that part of the fairing. HTH!
