I'm lucky enough to know Greg the owner of boomerang and fly with him pretty regularly. I have not seen a super Elon fly yet but I did fly the regular Elon last year for a intro to turbine. That was a pleasure! He set it up on buddy box just to train and give first flights. I hope one day to have a turbine in my fleet. Mike c
Hey Mike. Sweet! The bigger they are, the easier they are to fly is 100% true. The regular elan is outstanding so the super elan will be an absolute hoot!
I love the amount of room you have inside the fuselage. It reminds me of the amount of space I had for my scale glider (ASW28) to put anything I need inside. Great video Johnathan 😊👍🇬🇧
Awesome is that your replacement for the Diamond ? Pretty soon I'll be able to put one together as I keep watching your builds. Thanks for sharing I love that Jet and color scheme 👏👏👍👍
Interesting build for sure! Will be watching upcoming videos. You know, with all the builds you have done I’m really surprised that you have not yet used an AR Smoothflite gyro. I have used Cortex’s, both regular and Pro, I tried a Smoothflite and now I can’t see myself going back to Bavarian Demon. Multi protocol, Gyro, distribution board, sequencer, separate steering gyro, nose gear retracted steering inhibit and servo balancer all in one unit. All at a price point less than the Pro.
Thanks Greg. Going to be a fun plane to fly this year! Maybe in the future but once you have some thing that works and jives so seamlessly with JETI it's comfortable and easy to setup. Not sure if the AR jives with JETI.
What a monster, love it. I was wondering if you have ever used the Jeti receivers with an integrated gyro and your thoughts on them vs a Cortex? Mainly for space saving in smaller planes.
WOW that is Massive plane I showed my wife and she asked how much told her just plane kit was 5000 then + radio and all electronics she said what a waste of money
Whats the purpose ofnthe servo burn in? I'm not doubting you, just never done that with servos( I've also never built and flown a 5+ figure model aircraft so...)
Generally electronic components will fail quickly if they are going to have issues. The idea is that hopefully the servo (if it's going to have an issue) will have it's issue during this process.
@@thelightersideofrc Makes sense, I was just curious. I've been around a couple planes of this caliber, but only to volunteer with fire extinguishers and to help out their pilots, never built or operated anything like that! Absolutely fantastic work
Bro, Your using the word "building" rather loosely!! You don't "build" a ARF model, you assemble it!! There is absolutely no BUILDING involved with this model, none!!
You bet! Thank you for clarifying this for me! I appreciate it so much! I didn't build my house either. I assembled my house. the Trees built the wood, I just assembled the pieces. Phew!

Can't wait to see the rest of the build and the maiden! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Going Quick!
Wowzer, it's huge!. That's what she said! That is going to be an amazing build. Looking forward to getting into this.
HAHA. Nice Brent!
Elantastic Work on this very big Bird 😉
Thanks Thomas!
Awesome, another build, huge one this time, looking forward to new episodes
Thanks Nakul.

Yea it's going to be nice for sure! I like that adding the CARF Ultra Flash tank for smoke was easy!
This jet is incredibly BIG- OMG!
Crazy hey?! Every time I put it together I’m in awe!😳
Excellent video as usual... glad to see you using SP06 as a switch... 👍
Thank you for the suggestion!
@@thelightersideofrc 👍

I suppose that makes sense! Same color. Crazy lights.
My oldest daughter's middle name is Elan, after the Firefall Album Elan. :) BTW she is not a monster in size lol.
Haha. Nice Dale.
Ok she is a huge scale, love it. Enjoying your videos as usual 🫡
Thank you!😎
Very cool build!
Thanks!
Once again, excellent information!!
Thanks Joseph!

How do you transport it to the RC-field? - Strap it to the car's roof and fly there! :D
Haha. Just hop on the back and fly there.
It dismantles very easily and fits in a compact car.
Interesting build for sure!
Will be watching upcoming videos.

Not yet. I have one for an upcoming project to install.
Any fiberglass left for the rest of us 😂
😆😆that’s awesome
to cool .....just let you know fun fly at Elk Point May 20-22
Oh sweet! Turbines allowed Darrin?
@@thelightersideofrc yup
How did you lose the fingers on your left hand?
Hey Tony. No exciting stories just born that way.
@@thelightersideofrc Thank you for telling me. I thought it would be from an accident. Really enjoying you fantastic RC jet builds.
needs a custom cockpit 😉 lol
I agree!!!! I know a guy!
WOW that is Massive plane I showed my wife and she asked how much told her just plane kit was 5000 then + radio and all electronics she said what a waste of money
Of course she would say that. Typical response!
never heard of those rod ends called "ball joints". i've seen them called "Heim joints", however. (comment good for your algorithm)
Haha. Thanks Craig.
Big 👍👍👍👍
A Beast!
Why not do the landing gear area in the green oxide you see on military aircraft?
Good call. May do that as it's exposed fiberglass right now.
@@thelightersideofrc Thank you very cool. I believe it look good. It will look real......
I would have loved to see the hinge points be internal. The external hinge points mess up the beauty of this majestic plane
Are you talking about the flaps Joseph?
@@thelightersideofrc all the surfaces. Flaps, rudders and ailerons
Ailerons, rudders and elevators are internal.

@@phoenixrising4573 Thank you!
Are you going to paint your control surface horns??
Probably not.
The tip tanks are backwards…hopefully they are optional.
Kit comes with regular tips and tip tanks.
im sorry i cant watch videos that are out of focus
Thanks for watching! Ciao!
