    Hi European DGI
    Enjoy your content! There are a couple of great Dividend Companies in Europe, my favorite businesses are Nestlé, L'Oréal, Roche and Novartis. Just awesome how dividends accumulate over time.
    Keep it up!

    Hi, nice job.
    Just for information, l'Oreal did not increase its dividend this year (stayed flat a 3.85€).
    And for Danone in 2012 and 2013 the dividend was flat.

    I am continiously building my dividend portolio. Alike you, with the time I got rid of American stock since u lose a lot of your dividends due to the tax withholding. A big part of my stocks are from the UK ( BP, VODAFONE, Imperial Brands, Glaxosmithkline) . The UK doesnt keep any cent of your dividends, it is a big plus. Red Electrica and BASF are as well in my portfolio. The only american one I have is AGNC Inv. a REIT Stock. Greetings from Köln !

    Thank you for the work you have done ! A good list of companies to consider. I would stay away from Swiss companies as the tax rate for foreigners is 35%, that eats away the profitability quite a bit. I would add maybe Rio Tinto, BHP, GSK, ENGIE, Orange not entirely non-stop dividend growth but powerful companies with a potential:)

    • @EuropeanDGI
      @EuropeanDGI  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Vasko 🙏
      I get what you mean regarding the high-Tax countries and it's something to consider when making a purchase decision. The after-tax yield might actually be a much better consideration when making an investing decision. That's why I bought some Novartis earlier this year, because even after 35% tax it still had a good starting yield and it was attractively valued.
      Some good names you mentioned there. I've got my eyes on Rio Tinto to do some more analysis on. BHP I agree with. Their dividends are a bit choppy, but nevertheless pretty fat. Will check out Orange, I forgot about their statistics.
      Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated!

      First inteligent comment here. Having a list of dividend companies in Europe is worthless if you don't take into consideration taxation, you are not comparing apples with apples. Divided tax in Europe can vary with more than 10 % between countries

    • @Wrex327
      @Wrex327 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay, so it’s not completely like that. There are avoidance of double taxation treaties between countries that specify the rules of withholding tax on the dividend. Yes, Swiss entity will charge 35% on it, however you should look into the agreement that your country has made with Switzerland. I am from Poland, this is place where I live so I apply agreement of double taxation avoidance between Poland and Switzerland which states that Switzerland might charge tax at maximum rate of 15% and the rest should be taxed locally. As 35% is higher than 19% I specify in my tax form that I paid already tax on that and I can ask my tax authorities to provide a certificate of residence proving that I am living and paying my taxes here, therefore I am a Polish Tax Resident. They sign you a form and you can apply to Switzerland for 20% refund and then I am supposed to pay 4% in Poland which results in effective tax rate of 19% which is tax I pay on my US dividends as well as Polish ones. Yes, that’s quite confusing and that’s a lot of hustle, but I wouldn’t give up investing in Switzerland just because of this if I have found some bargains there. I am a tax professional and investor and this is just a simple comment on mechanism applied for various countries, not a tax advice. If your country did not sign any agreement, 35% will be most likely charged. If you are not a professional consider that you might need a professional tax advisor and costs may be higher than benefit, so yes, that’s important factor.

    Focusing on these companies is great (they are already “aristocrats”).. but I’m always wondering about the fact we are excluding some more recent entities which are maybe growing fast and will, only in the future, reach this 30 years goal.. and will probably be more reliable assets to live on in the future..

    • @EuropeanDGI
      @EuropeanDGI  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really good point Luca! This video is more about explaining the equivalent of the US aristocrats index. But you are right, most important is to find business that will be paying a growing dividend for another 30 years. I think Ahold is a good example with such potential, but also Apple and Microsoft in the US

    How do you handle the double taxation on dividends, the overseas countries typical maintain withholding taxes before realising the dividend payment to your broker or account 🙂.

    Whatever is happening, Asians should invest .Honestly I appreciate you and your content < Technical Analysis is good but I find It truly baffling that major crypto youtubers just look mostly at pure T.A and completely ignore the bigger narrative of why BTC is pumps/pumped and why the future outlook will be even rosier than it seems. It's kinda irresponsible to ignore the fact that each ETF launch so far has caused a major dump at the peaks of BTC. We were already on shaky footing with historically low volume and almost pure whale pumps,narrowly avoiding a long-term bear market. More emphasis should be put into day tradiing as it is less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market. I have made over $350,000 from day tradng with Bradley James Holly insights and charts. He been one step ahead of other analysis..
