Having a pure motorcycling experience like this is basically impossible on the new bikes now@n other than some of Suzuki's line, like the GSXS 750, that still has a throttle cable, but you have ABS on those, so not truly analog. I think people sleep on these older Triumphs, they are a great cross of reliability, performance, and price :)
Got the same bike with a Beowulf system on it, looks, rides and sounds great. I had new springs on the front and rear was serviced, with some new Michelin Road 5’s, it transformed the bike…Some ACF 50 put on the engine also really sets it off.
Great video! I have one and it's a great motorcycle. Been on tours in Canada and rode the Speed Triples there too. I don't keep them in a low gear with revs up like you, you can change them up and still ride the torque! That main centre stand has been added, I have never seen one on a Speed Triple. I am not sure it is actually an option! I realised you had to keep the chain tighter but Speed Triple chains should have a fair bit of play. The brake callipers are Triumph named Nissan and are excellent. Some of the best brakes on a motorcycle. Like you said probably the fluid or pads. Like you stated, until Triumph fitted Bembos the Nissan set up was regarded as excellent. The suspension is Showa. I have ridden the 2005/6 1050 too in Canada and I didn't think it was much faster either. I had the 955i and 1050i flat out in Canada (safe empty roads like yours) at different times but the revs in top (redline) were exactly the same from memory and they both touched 143mph. The Triumph's are a quality well built machine which will be a good part why yours looks so good at that age. The 955i engines are regarded as bullet proof too. Sorry to go on but I thought I would pass on what I know.
Had a 2002 955i, good bike. Have a 2012 1050, GREAT bike. Hardly the "original" streetfighter though. Was buying Streetfighter magazine in the early 90's!
Change to a 2005 1050 Speed Triple clutch cable, the clutch is so much lighter this way. A good mod is switching over to a 1050 throttle tube, it’s a quick action throttle basically and the difference put a big grin on my face when I first started using it 😀

I am surprised at the steering damper, it was only the 675 Daytona that was fitted with one standard. Triumph manufacture road motorbikes so they don't normally need one, unless your Speed Triple has had alterations done by previous owners.

@PastorMattMoto I had a look at the 2013 Speed Triple 1050 video - what a great colour! Lovely machine and low mileage. Excellent condition and a good buy! Yes, the 955i Speed Triples did not have a steering damper. As you say as time went on and the different 1050 specs, maybe a steering damper was fitted.
I have one, its a fantastic road bike, compliant but handles great, but not to twitchy, i love the fact it's anolog, no unnecessary gizmos

It's such a unique sound isn't it! Coming up through the midrange and hitting 6-7k with a wide open throttle....man those sounds :0
