Danny - I love you working with your Dad - him being open to learning from his son, and you being such a patient teacher. The look on your Dad's face on the first chip after you showed him was priceless!
I didn’t pick up on the fact thats Danny’s dad until i saw the comments. Awesome, seems like a great friendship. This was a terrific short game video. I love that they showed the different shots and ways to approach them. Im saving this one
A comprehensive guide to chipping covering most mistakes a golfer finds when trying to perfect their chipping around the green. The questions your Dad asks are typical of many golfers trying to correct their errors which help make this a brilliant video.
Danny, without a doubt, your best videos are when you are working with students. I learn so much more, but all your videos are great and I can't thank you enough.
Playing golf for more than 45 years now and always struggle with my short game. With this terrific video I now understand the basic principles of the swing ton make nice chipping shots. Thank you to share all your knowledge with us.
At first I didn't see a lot of the Pete Cowen Pressure Down Technique. The more I watched the more I saw the Pressure Down - push the toe and bounce under. Very Nice. Enjoy watching these videos with your Dad.
Great instruction as always Danny! Very helpful tips that we amateur golfers can certainly use. Having them on video and being able to watch them over and over again is priceless. Big thanks to your dad too! So nice to see him taking advice from his son. Videos with your dad always put a very warm feeling and smile on my face 💕 Thanks for all!
Love you helping your Dad. I am almost 72 and deep lies give me fits too. I have been a fan of your channel for a couple of years and tell my golf buddies to tune you in. I play to a 12 but I am always looking to get better. Keep up the great work, I will certainly be watching. :)
Hi Danny. I remember not very long ago congratulating you on reaching 500,000. Then it was 6 then 7 and now you passed 800,000. This is amazing and in my view one of the most deserved viewer growths on TH-cam. Your delivery has been consistently professional, easy to understand and very logical. I haven’t watched one yet (and I think I’ve watched them all) that hasn’t given me really useful insights into this wonderful and frustrating game. Thanks!
This is one of the most relatable lessons ever, brilliant! As an older player, my short game needs to be on point too, and this was perfect, thank you Danny. Can we also use Dad for those shots that rest on the steep banks around the greens too please, playing up and down them? 10/10 lesson.
Outstanding break down of all golfers worst nightmare chip shots. Absolute gold nugget advice and isuch a informative video. CHEERS Danny. Your Dad nailed it ,his questions he asked you were spot on . Love this Duo
I love this series of videos. I really struggle with chipping and do many of the things you are saying about flicking to. The questions your dad asks are exactly the same things as I play over when standing over a chip. The look of surprise on his face is fantastic. Thanks Danny
Every time I see a Danny short game vid, I wish I was watching it on the practice ground. Once I get a chance to practice, I’m too f’n old to remember this fantastic video! I hate to love this game but love to love Danny’s explanations. Bravo!
One of the best golf teachers in the universe, I struggle with shot 4/4 but after watching the video I can't wait to play that shot, keep up the good work Danny 🇿🇦
I've been playing a couple of months now and your videos have been by far the biggest help, you're the best coach on TH-cam. Hit my best round of 104 last night, let myself down with an 8, 9 and 10 on 3 holes, but the rest was great. Thank you Danny👍
Thank you for this video Danny. What I like most are the questions your Dad asks, they’re all what I’m thinking, as in his question about the face twisting in the rough grass. Thanks again 👏🏻
Tied an all time best today in big part to these tips! 6 up and downs today! Was 1 over with 2 holes left, and a bad bounce on 17th tee shot made me double bogey that one, finished 3 over par. Thank you for these tips Danny!!!! Going to break par soon I hope!!!
HUGE THANKS. I’ve been struggling with both chipping and pitching since taking up golf eight years ago. Every other area has been improving to the point these skills or lack of them really stands out. Watched this yesterday. An hours practice following these instructions followed by a round of golf putting it into practice. Hard to resist pulling out the Texas wedge but I did. What a difference. Finished the round with so much more confidence. 👍👏👏👏
Great lesson. Very relatable. Swinging so hard when the pin is so close, is difficult for my brain to process. I need to trust the loft and swing harder
I think this is what I needed to break 88. The vertical tip and where my hands/arms finish was a game changer on the practice green today. It’s like I felt like I knew how to chip cause I could hit some great shots but the consistency just wasn’t there and that inconsistency was almost always a stroke when it occurred. Basically sometimes thinned it across the green or just couldn’t commit to the power of a chip due to being afraid of that thin and left myself short chipping or putting from the fringe.
So wonderful to see a good instructor son teaching his dad with such a good lesson! Love this video. It is also very helpful for my short game as well! Thanks!
This is a super instructional video.... well done Danny and to your pupil. This is addressing the issues us more "senior" golfers have with the touch shots around the green.. great stuff..!
Hi Danny, absolutely love you coaching. I used to play alot and was a 2 handicap 30+ years ago. Now I'm a wee bit older and have lost nearly everything. Your coaching of logical and reverse mechanics has brought my love of the game back. Thanks again
An absolutely brilliant, brilliant. video! Great to see your Dad back on the channel, he makes it very relatable to us average and high handicap golfers. He's vey lucky to have such a talented golf coach for a son!
Nice explanation with another person who has to learn it. Chip is fine. I knew only to put the iron upright, but it still feels a bit special. and nth pitching remains spicy. I still love that driver lesson with someone who only has to change something small. I'm going to practice again and greetings from the Netherlands.
Another excellent tip. I'm so glad you stated that on the chip shots that the club goes up the lifeline. I was struggling with keeping the grip in my fingers. I grabbed my club and was practicing in the family room and it felt so much better and in control. Thanks.
Hi Danny hope you are well. Thanks to all your great videos and the positivity coming from you I have transformed my game from a non starter to a contender. I am looking forward to playing Dunstan Hall next month in a society Stapleford competition. I am leaving the driver behind and just going to use a 5 or 6 iron off the tee. I still watch your videos on here to refer back to Wish you all the best
Excellent video as always. I appreciate your dissection of the game into the physics and geometry of different types of shots to help my understanding of how the club face should be at impact. Thank you!
Great lesson - and much of what I work on in the backyard. Engaging the bounce is so key to getting the wedges to work. Also committing to the shot, which only comes after getting comfortable with this process, has to be there. Many thanks for a very timely lesson!
What a pleasant student, well mannered, there’s hope for you yet young Daniel. Did not realize the toe should come around on those high shots. I recently started turning my chest slightly toward the target in an effort to get my head in front of the ball (working great).
I love these videos with you Da I can visualize you talking to me as gently as you do your Dad. I am just returning to Golf and I love your video. Judi
This was a really great training video. This is an area that I really struggle with. Getting your Dad to commit to the shot in the rough was really interesting. He looks like a pretty good golfer himself!
@@DanielMaude Today I spent almost an hour on the mats of the practice area. Still not getting the check that I had hoped for. However, distance control was so much better using the processes you explained to your Father.
