Hi Andrew, I am delighted with this viewo and other videos too. Your style of presentation is superb and I like it. You explained every aspect clearly and without skipping anything or rushing at any point. You included all the finer point in your presentation and technical details. I am throughly impreseed. Good on you.
if youtube has a button to do a million like once, I will not hesitate to hit it Would you mind recommending me a course how to build DWH for begginer?
Thank you so much! I don't have a course recommendation for data warehouse techniques but any information from Ralph Kimball will be useful to you www.kimballgroup.com/data-warehouse-business-intelligence-resources/kimball-techniques/dimensional-modeling-techniques/
Hi Yoiur videos are very nice, I would like to know how to apply more than one(7 filters) filters with OR condition using parameter values. Do you have any video on this. Greenplum is my data source.
Anyone else get an error when trying to make the changes from about 40 minutes on (adding the 'director' filters)? I watched that section of the video over a couple times, checking that I followed the instructions properly, which I did, but I keep getting the error message, "Failed to evaluate the FilterExpression of the Dataset 'FilmDetails'.
If this happens to someone else. It must have been a bug, because I added an alias for the FullName field and changed the filter value to match it, which caused a different error. Then when I put it back to how it was before (I.e. the instructions from the tutorial), the director column started working properly in the report. Buggy system.
hello Wise Owl! first of all I must thank you for all your videos, it's awesome and very useful! I have one question regarding dynamic groups. Is there any option to give users possibility to choose more than one group in dynamic way using one filter? i.e. I want to aggregate data by Country and Genre or Country and Studio or even all three attributes and so on, do you know any solution for such a requirements ? Best Regards!
Hi Anders! You could populate a parameter's available values with the combinations of fields that you want the user to select but you'd then have to construct a fairly long IIf or Switch expression in each group to work out which field it should be grouping on. You could just create multiple tables with one for each combination of grouped fields and use the parameter to control which one is visible using the Hidden property. Another approach would be to create one table per page for each combination of grouped fields and use navigation tools such as bookmarks or document maps so the user can jump to the page they want. I'm not sure that there's a "good" solution to this particular problem, each will have their drawbacks.
oww.. thank you for your respond. To be honest I was thinking about the second approach, but I was wondering is there any better solution, because I have almost 8 attributes to put in this matrix, thanks again!

Thx BRO!
Can you make a video on SSRS charts with data tables. I searched and couldn't find anything. Thank you
one error is shown sir!!
its shown = query execution failed for dataset

@@andersb62 Hi Anders, that would probably be the simplest one to create and maintain, especially if you plan to add more grouping options later.
thank you , you are wise man just you need to be muslim
