What's even more sad about Trunk's timeline is that's the actual timeline. The one we're currently watching, where Goku and the other Z fighters are alive, is a tampered / alternative timeline. Had Trunk's not interfere with giving Goku the heart medicine, we would be in his timeline.

Ngl don’t think the flash back to goku black in the fight with Zamasu was necessary. The audience could have pieced it together based on everyone’s reaction to his ki and the color of his aura. it would have been much cooler. They didn’t need to talk down to the audience

Yes The Pilaf Gang WERE villains in Dragon Ball, but they were ALWAYS comedic relief too. Even in early Dragon ball
future trunks is different becaause not only was he raised by Gohan and bulma but he also had a very hard life so he had to mature much quicly
