the controversy with meredith wasn’t that she didn’t use her fingers or anything, it was because she used 5 million layers and said the foundation was bad for not working well with that, even though that is an obviously ridiculous way to apply it.
Yes! She scooped out like half of the tub and tried to smear it all over her face. And people are so impressionable and naive online, that some of her followers didn't understand that what she was doing this for shock and clicks, so they really thought the product was terrible because of her.
she irritates me so much, the wasting of the product grates on me to another extent, nobodies skin should have to have 500 layers on foundation on it, i genuinely don't believe she goes out like that
@@b_r_a_n I know her through some mutual friends, she wears excessively heavy makeup all the time (at least when I've seen her) and it's distractingly bad. I mean so bad that it's hard not to stare but even so I don't think it's the 20 pumps of foundation she claims in her videos.
The best way I can describe her look in real life is like old school Merle Norman ladies that look so powdery that you can physically smell it.

i hate when people give bad reviews for jones road when bobbi brown makes it very obvious and is very open about what her products are. a lot of these tiktok era do it just for controversy
People just watch an influencer do a bad review and they follow along without making their own opinion.
I once saw an influencer say she loved a product and fans were so confused and didn't know what to do cause she had previously said she hated it. One even commented "i thought *we* didn't like this one?"... Hive mind.

As an Mua I absolutely adore Isoclean! My go to brush cleanser. BUT I much prefer using their spray bottle to spritz onto kitchen paper or directly onto the brush if needed. This way it doesn’t use up as much as the dip tray method, I find. 🖤

An older family member of mine asked for help colour matching with the Jones Road WTF. I asked how they like it the other day and they LOVE IT. So it is 100% a mature skin product. As well as the Miracle Balm. Which they described to me as "vasaline over your face", but i think thats the reason why its so good for dry mature skin. It really is heavy duty moisture all day long.
I won't ever use the product since i cannot deal with the smell, to me its like a slightly less potent version of the danessa myricks blurring balm powder. Which I had to stop using because of the smell 😭

I love Jones road wtf and miracle balms but they are both more tinted skincare, I don't use anything underneath apart from spf.
It's not going to give you coverage if that what you're looking for but for anyone 30+ with dry skin not wanting a face full of stuff that's going to cake you up I highly recommend
Most of those coloured LED light therapy are bull unless its clinical as they just use coloured glass and not the actual wavelength of red light etc

Hey, Soph, the facial massager may be giving results because of something called lymphatic drainage massaging. Your lymphatic system does not have a "pump" to move lymphatic fluid around, so physical movement does that instead. I use a guasha on my face with a similar massage technique and I see a difference too!

I have been mixing isopropyl alcohol and miceller water to clean makeup brushes for a long time. It a do-at-your-own-risk kind of thing, but it’s always worked okay, and it seems kind of intuitive to me.

This brush cleaner is a lot like CINEMA SECRETS, which was the blue one you mentioned. SO handy. I am going to get that tan remover if only for my hands and places where it looks ruddy.
I love Regal Rose and found them through you. I have continued to buy from them and I love that they have some large dramatic earrings. I do have mature skin but I can’t do with the texture of that Jones Road foundation and those miracle balms. I tried the Revolution balm dupes too and hated them.
I've been cleaning my brushes with isopropyl alcohol from the hardware store for years... I use a handtowel which then goes into the wash once a week... eezy peezy
I can relate to being obsessed with skulls as a teenager I would but anything with skulls including skull lights, or skull cups. I still feel like I do love a skull design, but I’ve got more self control over it now

I love the ISOClean. I hate cleaning my brushes with a passion coz it takes so long and this makes to so much quicker
hi isoclean is fabulous i have just started to use it and its very very good ! i was amazed ! and its supposed to kill viruses witch for me is perfection ! it now takes me minutes to clean my brushes but i still only clean them once a week ! i use a special a brush cleaner wipe inbeween shades , and that works too , so it keeps my brushes clean and virus free. and my brushes are expensive and i was scared to death at first to try this routine as i had saved up for these brushes !
The self tan remover was really cool. I haven’t seen an ad for that before 😳 I have really sensitive skin too so if your skin can handle it mine can too😂❤
Don't forget to patch test anyway, because everyone's skin is different!!

The product that can remove tan is really good however if you’d rather not pay that price, there is a product in home bargains that comes in various scents. I use the coconut one. It has a gold/bronze lid and contains coconut oil and salt as well as some other products. But as it has oil in it, it leaves your skin so soft, yet takes off your tan super easy. Plus it costs £2.99

A hack that I've used for years is using rubbing alcohol/70% Isopropyl Alcohol as a spot cleaner for all my makeup brushes so seeing Isoclean being kinda the same thing seems a little bit like a scam 😂
I can see that, yes. But I hope you don't mind I'm about to steal your idea 😂. I can't sit or stand for a long time so cleaning my makeup brushes is always hell. Obviously I have backups for each, but I always end up having to wash ALL of them 🙈. I will have to check for a cheap place to get the alcohol, because the last bottle I got at the pharmacy (for other purposes obviously) was quite expensive.
The rose and caramel tan remover is a god send. It’s honestly amazing and really does work! I bought some and I’m on my second pot and bought my sister one 👌🏻 🍊

On the makeup thing u used to clean ur brushes they actually have a spray that u just spray on it and it removes it just as good ❤

Also Soph I know you like to fake tan and in the name of not naturally tanning and risking harming my skin I want to start fake tanning as well. I keep seeing things about the isle of paradise tanning water and was wondering if you had tried it, it looks super easy and seems to give a nice natural looking tan!
Hey, I saw your comment and I’m a bit fake tan tan lol, so thought I’d give my thoughts! I haven’t used the isle of paradise water but I have tried the tanologist one, Is it good and doesn’t have the same sticky whilst drying feel as ‘traditional’ tan. It comes out nice and natural too. Howeverrrrrrr I prefer to use the ones with bronzers in, my faves are st tropez and bondi sands. I’m pretty sure bondi sands do a clear foam or water one now too🥰
Also bondi sands liquid gold is meant to be really good, was a bit too natural for me personally, but I’ve heard great things about it x
I absolutely love the self tanner called Loving Tan Ultra dark 2hour express. It’s so easy to apply , and the color it gives is the CLOEST thing to a REAL tan after being on vacation. Give it a go . Apply it with the mitt applicator :)

The facial massager is just helping you with lymphatic drainage which is why it makes your face look less puffy. You could do this with a gua sha and it's much cheaper!

I don't really trust regal rose anymore since I bought a real gold piece from them for and gave it to my local jeweler and they said it was definitely not solid gold. it also made my skin green in no time

The brush cleaner I have that’s exactly like that is called a CINEMA SECRETS (I believe) it’s blue. But it’s not good to use all the time on your brushes only for a “spot” clean here and there. So I’ll do that if I really haven’t got to wash them and need to have a clean brush lol!

Im gonna preface this with Im an mua and that I cant speak for that specific brush cleaner but most "quick" cleaners dont clean brushes well at all as far as bacteria goes. there have been some, not a lot but some, tests done that showed the brushes were worse after using them. like I said tho idk about that specific one and its full ingredient list and the results it would have under the same testing, but generally they're not beneficial. Its best to clean them with a clarifying or gentle shampoo(I use baby shampoo), and lukewarm water every 7-10 days max (for personal use) then lightly squeeze as much water out as possible and lay them down flat on a clean towel to fully dry so water doesn't get trapped creating worse bacterial issues. And if you want spraying them (in a clean spray bottle) lightly with rubbing alcohol after they're dry. I only do that part after if its going to be used on a client though because rubbing alcohol can break down the glue that holds the bristles and brush together, and also dry out the bristles, but i just like being extra clean with my clients.
Instead of using Alcohol it might be worth looking into Hypochlorous Acid as an alternative. The health care industry is starting to use it as a cleaning/sterilising alternative but it isn't as harsh on surfaces or skin as Alcohol.

i dont use led lights but i use rose quartz roller and jasmin gua sha and i dont think they have any effect other than massasing
