@@mattyg4186 I had the 96 I think. With the different ring banners, red/white/blue ropes and classic insignia. I put the ropes down on the posts so they weren’t taller than the figures. I sold it during the pandemic 😔
@@thekosmokramerSame. 44 years old, still have my guys (even gave a few of them a fresh coat of paint during the pandemic and turned a couple into more recent wrestlers). Unfortunately, the ring cracked some years back. But I had some classics along with the blue steel cage.
As a teen i had the original one but only a few wwf wrestlers. So all my Thundercats,Masters of the Universe,Ninja turtles and Silverhawks had to step inside the ropes for a little invasion 90s style!! Lot of fun with that ring and miss that now as a grown up…
The attitude ring came next. With 2 of em, you could make a wargames setup. Honest to God, I wish I still had the imagination to sit n play with my stuff.
I kinda stumbled into that. Basically my teacher at the time was getting rid of the LJNs in her class that no one was playing with and since I was the only one using them, she asked if I wanted them. When I brought them home and used them in the monster ring, I noticed they more fit the ring than the Jakks figures I had.
I still have the Jakks 1996 ring with all posts and turnbuckles. It has a lot of paint marks from figures that can't be washed off, and the ropes tapped out a long time ago, but I still have those too.
In the 80s and 90s. Action figure toys had spring g Laumching plasti missiles. You could easily lose an eye or choke if you are dumb. Lawsuits became a thing in the 90s. Sadly. A kid over pumped a super soaker and sued because it blew up on him. Stupid kids and greedy parents.
I had this ring for about three days one Christmas, but then my Mom accidentally stepped right into the centre of the ring and that was all she wrote. 😂😂😂😂😂 I didn’t get a replacement either. 😅
I never knew about this, but it makes sense. I had the 1991 version of the WWF toy ring (the blue one with Ultimate Warrior all over the box art). My parents must have bought it for me right before this lawsuit, so I must have been lucky to get one. I loved it.
@ yes, and they were bigger than the 6’ figures i did later get a smaller ring when they were made but the monster ring fit well for the Titantron series released in 1999/2000. I sadly threw the monster ring out once the rope began to wear off
Really?? A child falls on it, sue?😂…I had the 1980’s ring, would’ve loved the later version..had Owen and Bret, hbk, vader, sting and a little rubber figure of Diesel…nice video

I had the Jakks Monster Ring. What a time to be alive.
Me too. My brother stood on my ring and broke the post 😡😤🤬
@@nbarealtalker did you have the 1996 or the Raw is War i had the raw is war one my friend had the 1996 one

@ I'm still mad lol
I only had the original. Looking back, that ring and the old figures were probably the best toys I had.
They were so dangerous. I had one in 1990, fell on it, impaled myself and died. In fact, this is my ghost.
MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had both the 1996 version and later got the RAW IS WAR version sometime in 1998. Good ole days man!
Had the old 91 ring. I broke the mat so my pops, God rest his soul, put a piece of wood to replace it. It was beat to hell. 😂😂 Good times.
i put in many 40hrs weeks plus overtime with this ring when i was a kid. still have it in my attic
You still have it!!!! Amazing!
@ all the wrestlers too, i dont let anything go :)
Damn I’m 36 and it’s a trip I had one and when I hear people say they still have theirs it’s so mind blowing I respect people like that
@@grindtyme7759 im 35 and my mom kept all my toys in the attic and just moved and gave them back to me. brings back the feels

As a grown man I want extra money for the new modern rings and action figures they even come with a entrance stage now
It’s true. By the time 1998 rolled around I was too old to play with toys. Suddenly stages with entrance music became a thing. I was jealous.
The memories that sling em n fling em ring brought me are endless.
Excellent video!!! That background music is soooo relaxing though 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching and being relaxed.
"Million to one shot, doc. Million to one."
Ironically, the reason it was recalled is more in line with the Attitude Era content….
Omg, I remember those huge JC Penny's Christmas 🎄 catalog books 🥹. Those were the days.
the best figures they ever made and best ring ever, they both worked great together for me for a long time
My Dad was a grocery store manager, so I was using cardboard boxes and milk crates as my ring until this bad boy came into my life. LOL
I used milk crates as a steel cage for my hasbro ring.
A serious injury in each corner
I had just gotten out of buying wrestling figures at the time so i never knew they released those monster rings in 96 and 97
Yeah. For a long time there was the Hasbro ring and suddenly WWE made their figures bigger.
This Raw Is War ring was discontinued in 1998 to make way for the Attitude Ring specifically, which was designed with the BCA figures in mind.
His video is all wrong the hasbro ring was recalled.
2:19 - That unfortunately happened to lot of the WWF Divas too. 🙎♀
I had the Jakks Hell in a Cell ring. That was huge and awesome!
I miss my LJN figures Brutus "the Barber beefcake and Ricky "the dragon steamboat were my favorite,,
Those LJN figures were outstanding.
I have my 1996 version still
That’s amazing!

i used this ring all the time as a kid. so many matches i had with jakks series 1-5 figures. the ring was a great product, as were the figures!
It was way too big for the 90s figures, given it was made size-wise for the giant rubber ones.
Yeah. It really made no sense.
Yo, I think we’re burying the lead here…

It’s strange they made figures and a ring that didn’t match.

I remember bringing a realistic toy gun on an airplane in the 90s. Now security would tackle you for bringing something like that.
I had this ring for about three days one Christmas, but then my Mom accidentally stepped right into the centre of the ring and that was all she wrote. 😂😂😂😂😂 I didn’t get a replacement either. 😅
It was odd that it took that many years for it to get recalled.

Had the raw is war ring, got it for Christmas. Yeah one of my corner posts did break too like mentioned at the end of the video
I took the top rope off of mine to fit the figures better. Loved it
Amazing!
I had the ring. But hated how it was larger than the wrestler.
I still have the 1996 ring and my son now uses it
I had the Raw is War one that was released in early 1998
Amazing rings!

Good memories
I have the 96 ring still lol with figures trying toget rid of them if anyone is interested
I have series 1 and 2, but they are beat up! Sadly no ring.
