Some time before his untimely death, he was asked in an interview if he considered himself a rock singer. he said he considered himself an actor who sang. His movie appearances were very well done. You can find such a list on IMDb. Thanks for your reaction to this classic.
Bat Out of Hell - the whole album is a masterpiece. Title track is amazing but you can't go wrong with any Meatloaf. His voice and Jim Steinman's music was a marriage made in heaven.
You guys should check out Meat Loaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love" video. Just as theatrical and amazing as this one was. You'd really love it for sure!
I’m so,glad you two understood and appreciated this song and video. I bet 75% of the reactions from others I’ve seen had no clue what exactly they were saying. You guys picked up on everything, even the baseball references, great job. ❤
@@Whistler4u well somebody in their mid 30s of course would get some of these references.. but younger ones and overseas they don’t get it… ☮️❤️🙏🌏🌍🌎🇺🇸❤️☮️
"He's so dramatic!" His background was as a stage actor on Broadway, hence the dramatic gestures and expressions. One of my favorite sons ever, but ALL of his songs are masterpieces.
It was fun watching y'all watch the great MEATLOAF .. It was my very first album, I got for Christmas in 1977. I would scream evey word of this song before I even knew what it meant?? Nowonder, my parents would be cracking up at me 😂
Watching this made me wonder about something. Is the baseball metaphor still even a thing these days? Getting to 1st, 2nd, 3rd base, etc? I would imagine most people at least get it just from watching the video, but do people even use it anymore?
This old vet just pulled up a chair to catch a reaction from my favorite christian couple reactors. Yeah, it has been a minute sense i have been here and been missing the reactions. Still alive and kicking and sending my love. Oh check out meatloaf " i would do anything for love." You wont regret it.
My then high school girlfriend and I were in my car listening to this IRL. Everything was the same except we finished the song, "went all the way", but didn't get married so didn't have to deal with that. We're still FB friends. His real name was Marvin Lee Aday. He got his nickname by his dad when he was a baby. He was pink and looked like a blob of meat. He had many movie appearances over the years. Including but not limited to "Rocky Horror Picture Show", "Fight Club" and "Wayne's World". This song was written by the late Jim Steinman He also played keyboard on this song. I wish I could have seen them in concert but sadly it never happened. I still have the "Bat out of hell" LP BTW they were BOTH regretting their commitment to each other. "It was long ago, and it was far away. So much better than it is today".
This song was actually banned in some places. But times changed and his own daughter came home from school and told him they were using the song in sex ed class to talk about relationships, responsibilities, and broken promises etc.
He's a legend! I've gone to 3 of his concerts. It was big news when he passed away from COVID complications. I was totally sad when he passed as so many million's were. He was truly an entertainer and great singer. He also acted in bit parts in movies during his life. He puts on a great show. You get the song right? meaning sex & seen a whole lot from only the Dashboard light....lol....
Most people assume this is simply an entertaining song about two teens out "parking". It is actually a warning to kids about the dangers of confusing lust for love. In my opinion.
Great song and reaction. I forgot their names, but the actual female vocalist on the song didn’t travel, so the other lady on stage was lip syncing her part.
Ellen Foley sang the studio version and her voice was used for part of the song for this production. The girl here is Karla DeVitto to toured with Meatloaf and did sing then. She is a very accomplished singer in her own right
3:34 OK so you were talking about the way their eyes look….. meatloaf they did crazy touring and that’s exhausting and very toxic her families…. But yeah.!!! meatloaf by far is the biggest theatrical, not only performer, but albums written as stories. ☮️❤️🙏🌍🌏🌎🇺🇸❤️☮️
His delivery of ‘Hot Patootie-Bless My Soul’ from The Rocky Horror Picture Show is another classic! The song celebrates the female singer’s politics of intimacy and the male’s failure to commit present in a teen relationship!
Meatloaf put everything into his songs. They were performances. Some credit has to got to Jim Steinman who wrote the songs that Meattloaf brought to life
BEST REACTION EVER!!!! LOL. But having seen you two before, I knew it would be. Not as sexual but the song, "I would do anything for Love." By Meatloaf came out about 25 years after this and it's along the same sort of style where they are telling a story and it is equally as good.
I'd love to see a Jack Black and Miley Cyrus remake/tribute to this song. At the beginning of the film "Tenacious D and The Pick Of Destiny," Meatloaf plays Jack Black's father.
He was an angry anti vaxxer who said he would rather die than get a COVID vaccination. Two weeks later he died of COVID that he could have had the vaccine for.
@@manuelsarabia2050 I don't speak for the couple who runs the channel. I'm sure they will get to your song. It's your attitude that stinks as you sound like a whiny child. Stop paying for people to listen to music if you're impatient. You have no clue how many people are asking for request and are in front of you in the queue. Besides, 90% percent of songs that people request others to play are complete crap that no one cares about or wants to hear.
Hey y’all. I’d like to share with you, a brand new song, just in time for Christmas. It was just released December 6, 2024. It’s all about the baby, by Mark Giovanni ft. Josie(daughter). Beautiful praise music. Amen th-cam.com/video/ljZqANsLS3w/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Yes Meatloaf has played Jack Black's dad in a movie.
HOLY ish! You guys GOT it! So many don't. Awesome. Her reaction to "So now I'm praying for the end of time.." 9:25 was in the top 1% of reactors.
And they got the baseball reference too. I'm shocked lol
Yeah, they caught on real early!😂
Meatloaf was known to collapse from exhaustion after his concerts. He always gave it his all.
Meat gave 200% every time .
More like he was fat
We called it Rock Opera. He was the best. I've worn out so many copies of this!
The only album I had on 8 track, vinyl (many worn out too), cassette, CD & now digital 🤣❤️
We OGs call this "Rock Opera".

🎉😂❤ Rocky horror picture show time for dinner❤😂🎉
He gave me one of my philosophies of life from the movie "Roadie": "Everything works if you let it."😂
I have always said that if I was stranded on a desert island and could only have one album with me, it would be Meatloaf-Bat Out Of Hell
Same.
Yes bruv
Really🎉😂❤ I might have to go Boston’s debut album🎉😂❤☮️🙏
@@FUBAR1986 I would take Queen 2 first, but this would be the second. Screw Boston.

The whole album is fire. For Crying Out Loud is magnificent. ❤
Bat Out of Hell - the whole album is a masterpiece. Title track is amazing but you can't go wrong with any Meatloaf. His voice and Jim Steinman's music was a marriage made in heaven.
I had Jim steinmans solo album early 80's. Was reissued as bat out of he'll 2 . Jim's writing/production is superb, and so distinctive. ❤
LOVE AND DEATH OF..
Think the solo one was bad for good
@@BORDERSALAN not for just a little while?
Every song from Meatloaf's "Bat Out of Hell" album was great. "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" was his biggest hit.
Album written by Jim Steinman and produced by Todd Rungren, who never get the credit that they deserve. One of the best albums of all time.

And in Rocky Horror
Meatloaf was in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
He's not only a great vocalist but an accomplished actor as well. He's acted in almost 50 movies
That whole album is great, but Two Out of Three Ain't Bad is the next Meatloaf song you should listen to.
Best breakup song ever
It was long ago and it was far away and it was so much better than it is today.
Thanks for the video
Love that you understood the story and got the the catch at end “Praying for the end of time “
Meatloaf was huge in the 70s . I love Meatloaf.

"When the feeling came upon me like a tidal wave!" 😃
I saw him sit on the stage from exhaustion and from there sang another song. Amazing performer, amazing Steinman music.
Meatloaf is an Opra Rock God
The baseball play by play always sells it
Only a LOT of people don't understand it (especially non-US listeners). When you get it, YOU GET IT, and it's HILARIOUS.

👍👍Excellent, an awesome and very 🤣performance. My personal favorite by Meat Loaf. 🖖❤
Jack Black wishes he had a tenth of the talent of Meatloaf.
I heard he had an oxygen tank back stage for after his performances
Meatloaf blew his voice on that debut tour. It took him awhile to get it back.
