Irritated by the hyena’s failure to kill the lion cubs; the four lions start to formulate their own evil scheme against the Pridelands' king… Knowing the hyenas still have a purpose for their plans, they promise their minions with all the food they can ever have, they only demand one thing of them...to be prepared.

Ah yes, the Scar family.
Scar as the father and aspiring mastermind, who desires the throne of his brother Mufasa above all else.
Elsie as his first wife and the one who'd see him set on the throne, even if she must murder all the other lions in the process.
Anna as his daughter, who's apparent sweetness is only a mask to hide her malicious pride and her thirst for power.
Darby as his son, who's silver-tongue and elegant nature gained the hyenas as their allies long ago.
Together, they scheme in the shadows of Pride Rock, setting the stage for their eventual rise to power. Scar's planning keeps them one step ahead of Mufasa, Elsie's aggressive tactics bullies Zazu and other creatures of the pride lands into silence, Anna's false sweetness keeps all loyal lions of Pride Rock blind to the treachery happening behind their backs, and Darby's honeyed words maintain peace with their hyena allies.
At long last, the time has come. In one fell swoop, both Mufasa and Simba will be dead. The hyenas will be given their promised rewards. And Scar will rule as king of Pride Rock, with his family by his side. Nothing can stop them now...
*P.S. I say Elsie is Scar's first wife, because obviously Zira is said to be Scar's wife in the sequel. So the idea is she came after the rise to power, whereas Elsie came before.*

What I love about this is despite the addition of four more singers, Scar is still the dominant leader in charge, and rightful king to steal the throne by bloodline, while the remaining three convey their parts as his underlings, but who sound much more loyal and close to Scar then the Hyenas.

The four lions retreated back into their cave far from Pride Rock. Scar taking the lead sprinting at a steady place, then Lovelock, whose trying to keep her distance from Ana but made sure to not bump into Scar, Ana behind her running gracefully and quickly showing off her elegance even while they are escaping, then finally Darby who purposely trailed in behind them.
Scar, at last, came to a stop to catch his breath. The lions behind him followed behind him.
In deep heavy pants, Anna glared at Lovelock. "Good one, "mom." It's a good idea we let you talk to Mufasa!" She sassed, before bringing her paw to her mouth and begun to clean it.
"Excuse me?" Lovelock replied, almost immediately. "Are you blaming our failure on me?!"
Anna chuckled a bit. She got up and walked past her mother with a taunting grin. "To be fair, you weren't always the smartest. You clearly don't know how to control your wrath." She says egging her own. "You were known to be all brawn and no brains."
Lovelock growled and jumped in front of her before hearing her son's voice. "Mother, please. Although, I do not like her tone. My sister is right, we can't have our rage to control our emotions." He says, shaking his mane gently. Darby then look over to his father who was looking out into the distance towards Pride Rock. "Father? Is there something the matter?" He asked.
Scar didn't answered. He continued to look out beyond. "Hmmm..."
Anna's "saluted" is *so* melodic despite just being one word. I keep going back to it.

Honestly, I always imagine the "Saluted" action being a Nazi "Heil, Hilter," seeing as this song is essentially about a lion Hitler. They already included Nazi callbacks with the light columns and the hyenas goose stepping anyway.
Considering that scar suffered from a part personality disorder in the play , this works .

I love the effect of Scar's and Man's eyes when they aren't the focus. The green in there still glows in the dark, and it makes for a delightfully creepy effect.

I love how in the end, all of them fade away one at a time except for their eyes. Then their eyes glow green (classic Disney color for villains) and then fade away. I also love it when Scar was the last one to do so.

The female scar on the left has her own TH-cam channel! Her name is "Annapantsu" and the human scar's name is Darby, I think he sings for the channel "Man on The Internet"
Dose any one else think Anna and man on the internet voices sound so good together, scar and Elsies sound good together as well, but there's some thing out the less aggressive voices that sound so good.

I like to imagine this is Scar and his closest allies who are far more devoted to the cause than the hyenas. Anna does it because she was promised to be only second to Scar himself in power in return, Man On The Internet does it out of respect for Scar's leadership, while Elsie is fueled by a hatred towards Mufasa
I love how Darby Culpit (Papyrus from Undertake the Musical) is included. He's so good and singing at voice acting.
I was going to include Peter Hollens cover at first but his pitch didn't match up well with the other artists (no fault of his own 😓) so I went with Darby's cover instead and it went much better 😅

Headcanoning:
Jim/Jeremy and Elise are the two that are motivated by their hate and greed. They want to be king/queen because of their hate for Mufasa and desire for power.
Anna and Darby are much more in line with the more diva parts of Scar’s plan. They want to be seen, they want to be heard, and they want to give the Pridelands a show. A more chaotic element that might’ve actually helped the Scars succeed in the end. It’s very fun to see how their very distinct personalities come out from the same lines and imagine how they came together with the same plan.
PS: This edit makes it a lot easier to see what lines Jim Cummings sang versus Jeremy Irons, and knowing Jim for so many roles, he absolutely stomps on everyone. It’s very fitting that Jim Cummings is the one who gets the “Seen for the wonder I am” line

This is so awesome! Evil lion quartet is my new favorite thing. All of y'all did great. My one and only complaint about this is the fact that everyone gets out of sync at multiple points and it makes it kind of hard to listen to.
