Cook/burnt toast man and shawn second Meetup was fucking brilliant. I was waiting for that since he was made the cook. The payoff was so worth the wait.

Was a bit weird seeing that considering how their relationship was on the mend, but I think it was probably never going to move past it being restored. Winno obviously had an issue with the fact she slept with Brett, so I kinda think Winno probably lost interest as a result.

Bret in season 1 was likeable in the same way Barney was in How I Met Your Mother. In season 2, his character seems completely fake and has zero appeal. It feels like a wasted opportunity. The daughter storyline seems odd. The writer of the show should really play himself. The guy who plays the photographer this season and the lead last season is a nice guy and a fine actor, he just seems to be cast in the wrong role. The former security guard being an action hero now seems like filler. It reminds me of how Community became more and more fantastic and separated from reality, but that wasn't until maybe the 4th or 5th season. Of course, maybe there are only so many stories that can be told about customer service or interactions with co-workers. The chef is funny. The cafe as another area to focus on seems like a good idea. Maybe you could go the way of Lost and explore the back story of all the people who work at the store and cafe. That should give you some material if there aren't enough work-place stories.
