this video comes out at the right time. I'm gonna start working in a Big4 from February and I've sent a number not so far from 100 requests, still nothing tho
Really nice video! I am planning to do my Master at the Luxembourg University, do you think its its better to get a bedroom or pay the extra for a studio and which area will be best? Thank you for your videos, they are very useful!
Hello, depends on you budget, I'm working and I'm renting a room and many of my friends do too even if we could afford the studio but we don't wanna pay extra money, also it depends what's more important for you so it's hard to tell 🙈 also I have few videos on the playlist with renting the flats so you can check them out I tell there all I know ☺️
Hi Magda, me and my husband are moving to Luxembourg for 5-month traineeship. What type of flat would you recommend us to look for? We’re searching for something couple friendly type.
You can either find a room for a couple in shared flat or a studio, apartment might be a bit too expensive unless you have some money to spare, about more I talk on my playlist about renting, I have few videos there, I say what's important to look at, mention few agencies, prices and areas to live in ☺️ good luck!
Hi Magda, We are a family of four moving to Luxembourg from Sweden, do you think it's easy to find a 3 bedroom flat? and how long does it usually take to find a flat. Thanks in advance.
Hello, depends on your budget, if you have a budget it should be relatively easy but outside of the city I would say, try to look as soon as you can and get it for the date you arrive 😊 good luck!
Hello, I would say check the bus connections after finding a place and look all over lux city (probably it's quite difficult or time consuming to get from Neudorf/Kirchner but looking at availability of flats find a flat you like and then check if it takes a long time - I would say anything in city of Lux that is taking more than 30 min according to google it's long commuting in Lux)
I want to share a list of agents who have been quite responsive to my inquiries. Besides keeping track of new listings in athome and immotop, I also keep looking at their website/their athome profile when I searched 1. tanamea 2. ldhome 3. Immocity lu 4. l'agence lu 5. vauban&fort 6. elsa home 7. b-immobilier lu 8. parkagence 9. axento I feel like they (or some of them in which I realized this pattern) also advertise on their websites first before on immotop/athome. So checking their website can give a head start in this "housing searching competition". Actually "furnished lu" was kinda responsive (even though with template response). In this case, to me, it is better than no response at all. But, considering the reviews from many places, I also didn't continue looking at furnished lu. Note, this is based on my experience and it doesn't mean the other agencies are not responsive. I may just haven't contacted the agencies yet.
Hello, thanks a lot! It's super helpful 😍 if you don't mind I'll share your comment in future videos so others can benefit. About most of them I have never heard 😱
@@ByMagdaYT sure.. I think those agencies also deserved free publications from answering my inquiries ahaha. Although, for some of them, I haven't checked further if they are legit or not (maybe you need to reconfirm before making vid), but basically I got the agency name from listings I saw at athome/immotop, then I clicked their website link on immotop/athome or googled it. But if it is from athome/immotop, I believe they are likely to be legit anyway.
What's annoying to me is that not every agency replies to my message. Through email or through the message function in immotop/athome. Even with proper hello, specific questions, thank you. Not only generic "I am interested. I want to know more" message. Is it because the listing is rented out already? Is it because English instead of French? Or what? And some of the agencies have good reviews in Google that they have helped a lot of people getting house. What help? Even they are not replying to my message 😑
I know I'm sorry to hear that :c it's probably because there is such a big demand that they are allowed to not care and answer questions they'll get a person who doesn't ask questions and sends money if they're lucky to get the answer 🙈
@@ByMagdaYT I want to ask if you know something about it. Do I need to be careful for listings that are available immediately in comparison to listings that are available from a specific date? Like may be such available immediately listings are kinda bad so no one want to rent?
@@marcella.astrid i would say be careful with listing not with agency, otherwise it should be fine, maybe someone resign at lasy moment because they found something better. The one good part is that the moment you're in Lux physical already living here it's a bit easier to get a flat because you can try without agencies because you can visit the flat and all or you'll just hear from someone that somebody is leaving from their flat and they look for the replacement
@@ByMagdaYT ah yeah.. unfortunately, I am not in the Lux physically yet. So my current strategy is looking for a shorter term contract (6 months or less) from an agency that has good communication. May decide to extend if good enough/look for a better place later when I am physically there. Thanks for your information anyway 😁

I totally understand how you have to feel, it's the worst part of Lux, but I'm sure you're gonna find something ☺️ I'll keep my fingers crossed 🤞
Hi Magda, I really like ur videos but I am still waiting ur video talking about jobs for translators ;)
On my way but it's not an easy one 🙈
And I'll like to know what are the best areas in Luxembourg to live. Thanks

Wasn't there a new rule that will by applied or got applies after 2023 that it's illegal to pay agency fee anymore?
I haven't heard of that one! But would be nice, however that will just increase the rent in this case
