I like that what Rocket caught was a mechanical error, something that a team of biologists would have missed, but he wouldn't because of his knack for engineering.
That's a nice touch. Could be that they only have a dedicated team of engineers to build the devices for them based on the biologists' specs, so if there's an engineering problem the biologists wouldn't catch on that easily and vice versa with the biologists. But Rocket, has both understanding of the biology and engineering aspect of the problem just by observing the device in operation so he was able to point out the flaws of the engineering side and suggest adjustments by also understanding the process involved in the biology side to make it work hand in hand. His main forte really is in the field of mechanical engineering but given that he's so maturally smart he can basically learn other fields of science even if it so far out of his common knowledge. I bet he could learn quantum mechanics like how Loki did and could even crack the doe to time travel like Stark did given time and resources.
to think that the entire movie could've been avoided had the HE performed an atomic level brainscan on Rocket after this demonstration, put a copy of said brain into a developing embryo, then subject the newly formed organism to the exact same circumstances that the made the Rocket we know and boom, High Evolutionary gets what wants, Rocket doesn't have to be dissected, best of both worlds lol
Yeah, but the High Evolutionary’s ego would not allow someone other than himself to find a solution to his problem. Remember this is the same guy who destroyed an ENTIRE INHABITED PLANET just because it didn’t meet his expectations.
Honestly even if he was still set on dissecting Rocket because of his ego, I still don’t see why he wouldn’t do that because it’s always important to have a copy
Mainly is just an ego thing, he did not think that Rocket would eventually realize his true schemes and then rebel. Because we was also blinded by it since it took him a while to get to the level of success he has with Rokect so he was treating him as if he's a trophy and couldn't care less of taking any precaution of creating clones/backups of him.
Rocket was always incredibly special and evolved. All the high evolutionary did was give him a voice. He was always more intelligent than the high evolutionary and it galled him that rocket figured out how to do what the high evolutionary couldnt do himself.
